Earl: I´ll Hit Katsidis For Six

24.01.07 – WBO Interim World Lightweight title challenger Graham Earl has promised to show England’s cricketers how to Australia for six when he takes on Michael Katsidis at the Wembley Arena on February 17th. With captain Freddie Flintoff and his men KO’d by the Aussie’s in the Ashes and now bruised and battered in New Zealand in the one day series, Earl has promised to bring back some national pride when he faces dynamite puncher Katsidis, from Toowoomba, who has sparked out 19 of his 21 opponents – 11 inside the first three rounds..

And Earl, the former British and Commonwealth Champion, is even more determined to knock out the Thunder from Down Under after he read that cocky Katsidis had said to his local paper, The Toowoomba Chronicle, that it would be a “pleasure to hand him [Earl] a beating in front of his crowd.”

The Duke of Earl said, “Flintoff and the rest of the team are welcome to come down to Wembley on February 17 and I’ll show them how to batter the Aussies.”

“Our cricketers are an embarrassment in New Zealand at the moment but their performance in the Ashes was diabolical no wonder the Aussies are laughing at us,”

“I hope Katsidis thinks that I’m going to perform like our cricketers because he’s going to get the shock of his life when I knock him for six,”

“They call this guy the Thunder from down Under because he’s sparked nearly all of his opponents but he hasn’t faced a Graham Earl in his career yet who will take his best shots and dish it back twice as hard,”

“And when I do land my punches and his head is all over the place, he’ll be hugging onto me like a koala on a eucalyptus tree,”

“I’m delighted that the show has been called England Expects because I’m going live up to expectations and bring the world title home to England.”

Michael Sprott v Audley Harrison for the EU Heavyweight Championship headlines England Expects and will be televised live on ITV1.

Also on the Wembley Arena card is Amir Khan, Ross Minter, Vinny Mitchell, Derek Chisora, Tommy Saunders and Don Broadhurst.
