Undercard Set; Ring Girls Ready for Kalamazoo Series!

16.10.05 – The undercard is set for the Saturday, October 22 debut of the Midwest Professional Boxing Series¡Ý at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo Michigan. In addition to the main event featuring world-rated lightweight Damian Fuller taking on durable veteran Jerry Cooper (8rds), the BE/Side Productions (in association with 1 World Productions) event will also feature Cleveland’s undefeated Ron Johnson doing battle against Toledo’s Kevin Butts in a six-round super middleweight scrap; flamboyant and undefeated Detroiter Harvey “Candy Man” Jolly will continue his quest to get fellow prospect Johnathon Banks into a ring by taking on Grand Rapids native Charles Judge in a six-round heavyweight bout;

In a six-round super featherweight duel, Rasool Shakoor will face Detroit’s Ken Walton; and durable Jackson, Michigan native Demetrice King goes Cleveland’s Corey Gregory (6rds, heavyweights). Always exciting Detroit lightweight Frank “Spider Man” O’Neal and Jackson, Michigan heavyweight Mike “The Hammer” Jones are also scheduled for appearances.

In other exciting event developments, the Official BE/Side Ring Girl competition was held Thursday, October 6, at Wayside in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Local media celebrities Seth Harp, Justin Katz, and Patricia Gray and Ken Yoder judged the competition and the four winners, Dana Jones, Kassie Carrabino, Chelsea Smith and Tiffany Jones, became the official BE/Side Ring Girls for the 2005/2006 season. They will be featured at world-class professional boxing productions, do commercial photo shoots and calendar shoots, do public appearances throughout the year and be featured on an upcoming BE/Side Ring Girls’ web site.
