Lucia Rijker and Christy Martin on NER Radio Thursday Night

BOSTON (June 22, 2005) – The thrice-weekly New England Ringside Radio Show goes from pillar to post this week, starting with the woman of boxing and ending with a look at the Arturo Gatti-Floyd Mayweather mega-fight. Thursday night’s two-hour New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show – hosted by Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills – airs between 6-8 PM/ET on Boston’s Boxing Station, The Zone (1510 AM)..

This week is ladies’ night. Guests include Lucia Rijker, who’ll talk about her role in the movie, “Million Dollar Baby,” as well as her pay-per-view fight July 30 versus Christy Martin, who makes a guest appearance on the show. Former world champion Jaime “The Hurricane” Clampitt and ring announcer Amy Hayes also are scheduled guests Thursday night.

The Drive (1320) in Providence will broadcast a show Friday night, 7-9 PM. WBC rated No. 9 Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi will be a special guest. The Brooklyn junior welterweight will discuss his one-year layoff due to two hand surgeries and his plans to return to the ring.

Saturday night’s show, broadcast weekly between 7-9 PM/ET, is hosted by NER’s Bill Skog, “Irish” Pat Kelley, “Dynamite” Danny Sheehan and Jeff “HellRaza” Fraza. The boys will be previewing that night’s highly anticipated Gatti-Mayweather pay-per-view fight in Atlantic City.

The Thursday and Saturday evening shows also will be simulcast on 1320 The Drive.
