Groves Confirms World Title Rebuild

British super-middleweight contender, George Groves, has confirmed he will be boxing on in the wake of his latest world title disappointment, and will return on Jan. 30 in London on a jointly promoted Sauerland/Matchroom card at the city’s Copper Box Arena.

Groves was beaten by WBC super-middleweight champion, Badou Jack on the Sep. 12 Mayweather/Berto undercard, his third world title tilt, and after speculation that he could retire after deleting his social media accounts and splitting from trainer, Paddy Fitzpatrick, the Londoner has finally announced his intention to continue trying to claim that elusive world strap.

'I Hope Fury Roughs Him Up' says Carl Froch

Sky Boxing analyst and former 168 lb world champion, Carl Froch, is picking Wladimir Klitschko to successfully defend his heavyweight titles against Tyson Fury on Saturday, though ‘The Cobra’ is urging Fury to ‘put it on him’ and ‘make things rough’ if he is to stand any chance at all of winning.

Froch – set to travel out to Germany for the fight on Wednesday – spoke to iFLtv about the anticipated heavyweight clash, and is predicting a points decision in favour of the 39 year old champion, who is seeking to go on and capture the WBC title before his eventual retirement.
