Deontay Wilder wants 50-50 deal for Joshua fight

Deontay Wilder wants 50-50 deal for Joshua fight

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder wants an 50-50 split of the money for a unification fight against IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) next year. It’s unclear whether Wilder is serious about wanting a 50-50 split of the money for the fight or not.

Wilder isn’t the one that does the negotiating. He’s got his management that will be trying to work out a deal with Joshua’s people. However, if Wilder has given his advisers Al Haymon and Shelly Finkel their marching orders not to accept anything less than a 50-50 cut of the revenue for the Joshua fight, then we have a big problem.

Jarrell Miller battles Mariusz Wach tonight

By Andy Brooks: Heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (19-0-1, 17 KOs) will be testing himself tonight against aging fringe level contender Mariusz Wach (33-2, 17 KOs) in the co-feature bout on the Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs vs. Luis Arias card on HBO Boxing at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Miller came in at 283 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in, and he looked in shape for a change. In his last couple of fights, Miller has weighed in at 298 and 296 and looked like he’d trained at a fast food joint. Miller took off 15 pounds, and he looks much better than he has in a long time. That’s good news.
