Mairis Briedis (22-0, 18 KOs) took the game but limited Marco Huck (40-4-1, 27 KOs) to school tonight in pounding out a dominating 12 round unanimous decision to win the vacant World Boxing Council cruiserweight title in front of a large crowd of Huck supporters at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany.

Undefeated Cuban prospect Leduan Barthelemy (13-0, 7 KOs) scored a ninth round stoppage of Reynaldo Blanco (14-4, 8 KOs) Tuesday night in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes from Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino in Nice, California.
“I came here knowing that I had to make a statement and deliver a knockout on FS1 and FOX Deportes,” said Barthelemy. “I controlled the fight from the opening bell and never lost focus.”
Linares easily beats Crolla
Jorge Linares defended his WBA Lightweight World Championship with a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Crolla Saturday evening on SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL from Manchester, England. The win sets Linares up for a possible unification fight with WBC Lightweight World Champion Mikey Garcia, a matchup that would be considered one of the best that can be made in any weight class.

Jorge “El Niño de Oro” Linares (42-3, 27 KOs) skillfully defeated former champion Anthony “Million Dollar” Crolla (31-6, 15 KOs) to retain his WBA, WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine World Lightweight Championship titles in a 12-round rematch battle that went the distance live from Manchester Arena. Showtime International Boxing will replay Linares vs. Crolla II tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHO Extreme.

Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN debuted with a bang Thursday night as rising middleweight contender Jason “El Animal” Quigley (13-0, 10 KOs) took home the NABF middleweight championship, earning a hard-fought 10-round unanimous decision over a game Glen “Jersey Boy” Tapia (23-4, 15 KOs) in the main event before a sold out crowd at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and televised live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin engaged in a terrific entertaining scrap this past Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was a close and competitive affair throughout, and Golovkin was ultimately awarded a unanimous decision victory, with judges’ scorecards of 115-112, 115-112, and 114-113.

Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) beat a very defensive-minded Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision tonight to retrain his titles in front of a large crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York. You can argue that the fight failed to live up to the expectations of the boxing fans, as there wasn’t much action to speak of.
Results: Mansour defeats Kauffman
In a 12-round heavyweight war that lived up to the hype, Amir Mansour (23-2-1, 16 KOs) was able to take a majority decision (114-114, 117-111, 115-113) over Travis Kauffman (31-2, 23 KOs) in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions: The Next Round on Bounce from Santander Arena in Reading, PA.
In round two, Kauffman buckled Mansour with a hard right on the inside. The two fighters started round four with bad intentions as they each landed hard shots on the inside. Kauffman switched back and forth between orthodox and southpaw stances in an attempt to befuddle the southpaw Mansour.
Results: Michael Conlan stops Tim Ibarra
Michael Conlan showed off his punching power and body punching tonight in defeating Tim Ibarra (4-5, 1 KOs) by a technical knockout in round 3 in front of a large crowd of 5,102 boxing fans at Madison Square Garden in New York. Conlan, 25, hurt Ibarra was a nice shot in round 3, and he then hit him with everything in the kitchen sink until referee Benjy Esteves Jr. called a halt to the fight.
