WBO-Champion Aleksandr Usyk and WBC-Champion Mairis Briedis entertained the masses at an open training before their Ali Trophy semi-final clash on Saturday at the Arena Riga, Latvia.

Thanks for joining us. Greetings from the blizzard in New York City. I know that Marcus Browne and Adam Kownacki are both local right now, so they’re experiencing this insanity with me, and I guess a lot of you are also. So we’re going to try to warm up this blizzard afternoon and talk boxing for a little bit.
Robert Rolle is here to discuss with us the first ever WBC/ LBF Title which is soon to be upon the horizon. Robert is the son of the legendary “lady in red” boxing promoter Eva Rolle. The Legends Boxing Foundation truly is a unique organisation, and we can now find out what is in store for us boxing fans in 2018. So, ladies and gentlemen here we have Robert Rolle’s voice on the latest developments for the WBC/LBF.
WV: Robert, it is great to have you here with us at East Side Boxing. Could you give us an introduction to what you are about?
Former WBC and interim WBA cruiserweight title challenger B J Flores feels he should have moved up to heavyweight a long time ago; maybe even five or six years ago. The 38 year old who has picked up plenty of experience, having encountered a number of styles, says he is a fully-fledged heavyweight now – and that he is one who is on the hunt for a big, meaningful fight.
Bill Hillman is a writer and a fighter from Chicago and he runs with the bulls. Exactly what is says on the tin. This man has such an infectious and unique story it is hard not to want to read what is about to unravel in front of your eyes. Can you tell us about your upbringing in Chicago and how you first became involved with boxing?
Eva Rolle is a former boxing promoter in Germany, has organised more than one hundred boxing events worldwide and is very highly regarded within the industry itself. In the past she has worked with the likes of Don King, and is famously known as the woman in red. She now works at the Legends Boxing Foundation as the president’s advisor.
Eva has been kind enough to share with us her compelling story and where she wishes to take female boxing in the next decade.

Jessica McCaskill is to face Katie Taylor this week at York Hall in London 13th December 2017. This really is a very interesting transatlantic contest in women’s boxing, and will be the biggest fight of the year. Katie Taylor is the pound for pound number one female fighter, and McCaskill is ready to take that scalp.

We are kicking off fight week with this call and have a week of events leading up to Saturday’s events, which will surely be a showdown between two heavy hitters this Saturday, December 16th, at the brand new Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada. WBO Middleweight World Champion Billy Joe Saunders will battle the heavy-handed David Lemieux for Saunders title, which is a WBO title. This event is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Eye of the Tiger Management in association with my partner Frank Warren.

A guy that I can’t wait to see in a historic fight that has never happened before – in each corner a fighter having two Gold Medals. This is an historic battle and it’s going to be one of many historic battles for Vasyl Lomachenko who I have said from the beginning he is the best fighter I have seen since the early Muhammad Ali.
