RICKY HATTON has stated that Kiwi hopeful Joseph Parker isn’t even on Hatton Promotions’ radar for Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne.

Parker defeated little known American Keith Thompson this weekend and has mentioned a showdown with Browne on numerous occasions.

But as Browne, who holds the Commonwealth, WBC EPBC and WBA Inter-continental crowns, is ranked highly by the three main world governing bodies and seemingly on the verge of a world title shot, the match-up is highly unlikely at present.

“I’ve heard Parker’s team say Lucas is scared of them, which is laughable,” Ricky said.

Glazkov Defeats Rossy in Heart-Stopping Battle at Sands

Bethlehem, PA: The main event featured a brutal ten-round heavyweight battle between Vyacheslav “Czar” Glazkov (18-0-1, 11 KOs*) from Lugansk, Ukraine against Derric “El León” Rossy (29-9, 14 KOs) of Medford, NY.

The first round started slow with both fighters trying to feel each other out. Both guys ended the second trading very good shots, keeping the fight close. Rossy took the third round with ease. The next four rounds were close, with both fighters trading big shots. Rossy looked tired at the start of the eighth but continued to hang in there with Glazkov.

Czar suffered a cut below his left eye at the end of the eighth. Glazkov dominated Rossy in the ninth, but Rossy managed to stay on his feet until the final bell. Glazkov managed to pull out a majority decision victory with one judge scoring the bout 95-95, and the other two scoring the bout 96-94 and 98-92 in favor of Glazkov. After the fight, Czar said, “My hand was bothering me. It wasn’t broken, but it did not recover as well as I had hoped. It is not an excuse but it was still bothering me from my fight with Adamek.”

Joseph Parker stops Brian Minto

Tonight up and coming New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker takes on tough veteran Brian Minto (39-7) in Auckland City, New Zealand.

Minto, 39 years of age, last bout was against another New Zealand heavy Shane Cameron. Minto did a number on Cameron in simply outhustling and muscling him in consistently beating him to the punch. Cameron unable to make it out for the eighth round.

Parker (8-0) appears on the fast track to contender status as Duco his promotional team flag the usual potpourri of patsies in matching Parker with a solid journeyman like Minto.
