Chisora wants Deontay Wilder and Tomasz Adamek
British heavyweight star Dereck Chisora has slammed rival heavyweights Tomasz Adamek and Deontay Wilder and told them he’s coming for them next.
Chisora takes on German Edmund Gerber for the Vacant European Heavyweight title on Saturday 21st September at the Copper Box Arena with top contenders Adamek and Wilder also on his hit list as he marches towards a second world title shot.
Talks with Adamek’s promoter had been ongoing for Chisora to face the Polish hero, a former world champion at light-heavyweight and cruiserweight, later this year in London, but terms could not be agreed.
Chisora ready to smash Gerber on September 21
For Chisora, the meeting with Gerber represents the chance to capture the belt he was robbed of by ridiculous judges’ scoring when he faced Robert Helenius in Finland just under two years ago. Since then Chisora’s career has been a whirlwind of controversy and high profile fights that have made become one of the most recognisable figures in British boxing, however he hold no regrets over the robbery: “Yeah I was robbed, but the guy I faced (Helenius) hasn’t done anything since and is more or less done. But I’ve had some huge fights since then.’

European Heavyweight title challenger Edmund Gerber say he’ll be British star Dereck Chisora’s therapist when they clash at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday 21st September. The big-hitting German has sparked up a war of words with Chisora bringing up the Londoner’s well publicised incidents with the Klitschko brothers in the past and has promised to cure him in the ring with his fists.

‘Del Boy’ is back on the road to challenge for the world heavyweight crown with back-to-back KO wins over Hector Alfredo Avila in April and unbeaten American Malik Scott in July.

Following Dereck Chisora’s impressive stoppage victory last weekend over Malik Scott, the media and fans alike have been commenting in their droves about how the Finchley Heavyweight looked in the best shape of his career as he toppled the previously unbeaten American visitor.
To get some background on Dereck’s transformation, we spoke this week to Tom Whitehead of Soulmatefood, who were installed by Chisora ahead of his training camp for Malik Scott, to clean up the Finchley heavyweight’s diet that has caused him various problems in the preparations for previous fights. Frank Warren, the promoter for heavyweight Dereck Chisora (17-4, 11 KO’s), will have him back in the ring on September 21st at the Copperbox Arena in London, England in facing what he hopes will be a big name.
Chisora: Me and Vitali have unfinished business
Earlier tonight, British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (17-4, 11 KO’s) got a surprise stoppage over American Malik Scott (35-1-1, 12 KO’s) in London, England. Chisora stopped Scott in the 6th round, and there’s still questions remaining whether Scott beat the count.
Replays show that Scott was on his feet at the count of 9, but the referee waived it off anyway. Chisora said after the fight that he wants to go to Germany and fight WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko again.
Chisora said this in the post-fight interview with BoxNation: “I want to fight the Klitschkos. I want to go back to Germany. Me and the older brother [Vitali Klitschko] have unfinished business.”
Vitali beat Chisora by a 12 round unanimous decision last year in February in a fight where Vitali injured his left shoulder in the 2nd round and had to fight with just his right hand for the remainder of the fight.
Dereck Chisora Takes Away Malik Scott’s Unbeaten Record With Controversial 6th-round Count-Out
Tonight at Wembley, Dereck Chisora got back to winning ways with a 6th-round stoppage of previously unbeaten Malik Scott. The ending, at the very least a slightly controversial one, came at the two minute and 56-seconds mark of the 6th.
Chisora, in improving to 17-4(11) said after the fight that he wants to go back to Germany to fight the Klitschkos, again in the case of WBC king Vitali. Scott, now 35-1-1(12) said “everyone knows I beat the count,” yet otherwise took the defeat graciously.
So, now to the controversy. Scott, ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage and having boxed very well, was belted by a right hand shot that landed on the back of the head as he was on the ropes. Scott went down, smiling as he did so, appearing relatively unhurt.
