A “swarmer” is the type who leave themselves open a lot. The perfect opponent for a sharp shooter like Broner. (I think this one is going to be like Floyd’s Gatti fight.)
I just hope after this fight Broner’s critics don’t say, again, ‘when is Broner going to face a real challenge?’

… Reach is not much of an issue either. Rees is a swarmer and his reach is nearly always 7 inches smaller than his opponents.

… I think Rees will have his moments though.

Faster? Im not so sure …. Broner is certainly more explosive but the speed is not a huge issue. Rees is a good opponent but i agree that Broner should win impressively. 80:1 odds is very disrespectfull (and inaccurate)

Broner has a 7″ reach advantage, is faster, hits harder and has a MUCH better defense than Rees. Rees is good, Broner is destined to be great. Broner wins this one by a spectacular, highlight-real KO.

Rees will struggle to get near him and when he does he will be made to miss then pay, ouch, over by round 7

No doubt Broner will be Gavs toughest opponent, but it will be the same for Broner Rees is not the mug some think.he’s a very good and proven European level fighter and a tough little S.O.B. no walk in the park for Broner this one.

imjust hopin its at least a bit competitive. wanna see Broner handle some tough fights. So is Broner/Gamboa just completely done. Im a little behind on this I guess, just wonderin cuz I think Gamboa would be tougher than most think

Gavin Rees could train with Jesus, and the ghost of EVERY great fighter in history and he would STILL lose this bout he is simply not on Broners level…. Broner is really a runner he knocks out 80% of his opponents…. LOL Some of you guys are like cheerleaders as opposed to actual students of the game… Broner stands right in front of his opponents and beats the hell out of them

Chicago guy

Rees need to train himself to be more faster to chase a runner. That’s the problem

Yes Rees will have a problem how to catch overhyped Broner because once he taste the power of Rees like he is hit by a rock he will keep on backpedalling and will not engage to a real fight anymore. This runner will use his hit and run tactics just to earn points.

If Gavin Rees has trained hard he will win. He is a real class act in the ring…when he has trained properly. This will be tougher than you all think.

Thanks Limejay, sometimes people are offended by an overabundance of talent and persona…Broner is fast, slick and difficult to fight and this renders blue collar fighters looking inept and badly out of their depth… I remember guys thinking that Mayweather had a chance against Gatti and then the shock and awe when the blue collar hero was taken to school, beat up and stopped by a VASTLY superior talent….Anything can happen in boxing but the odds favor Rees getting a BEATING…

Sred….I often agree with you, and this time is no different.
Anyone with eyes can see broner is a bit special, never mind who he has fought to date, he is only a kid and will only get better, sure Rees poses different problems for browner, but I can’t imagine a scenario where Rees has even the tiniest success.
Broner will make Rees look totally inept, Rees will think he is fighting two men in there, and I like Rees, good honest pro, but this will not end well for him

Broner is on another level and after seeing what he did to Demarco (who I think also beats Rees), I think Rees is in for one hell of a bad night.

It’ll be Mayweather vs Hatton again, only Mayweather this time will have more power. I’m going to be generous to Rees and say the fight gets stopped in the 5th.

Rees has a MAJOR problem he is about to book a loss to a truly talented fighter the manner in which he loses is the only area of redemption for him, should he see the bell that will bode well, should he be quickly knocked out or beaten to a pulp then OH Well… Broner is going to look unlike anything Rees has ever encountered in a boxing ring, this is not gonna be a “Rocky story”
