Chris, up EARLY riding my balls which is certainly his right but consider at least trying to offer a smattering of influential commentary as it pertains to the fighters you seem to love so much? Is the sum of your contribution “discussing me” while I am flattered by your patronage it cannot mask the deficits in your boxing acumen and inability to adequately defend your hero’s….. Just say’in homey!! :)

It’s Me, Ernie

The Klits are not the greatest thing to ever come along. Their boring style has really caused the interest in the sport to wane over recent years. It’s really not their faults, the competition is as weak as it’s been in any era in the division. The heavyweight champion was regarded the most prestigious title in all sports, in the glory days. Today not at all. What a shame.

Posted October 31, 2012 10:17 am

All this arose because I called out the 3rd trash opponent that Wlad has faced in a row and YEAH at the stage they were at these guys were “threat level NADA” Klits is facing a succession of no-hopers as of late and thats just a fact… Wach is totally unprepared for this level of fighting and his prior opposition tells a story that cannot be spun by inept Klitschko spin Doctors….

Posted October 31, 2012 7:12 am

Tark, your logic is so flawed its laughable, Ali “went from bad to worse” he was so bad that he is considered by MOST credible bodies as NO less than the 2nd best HW in the history of the sport, and he booked wins over 9 HOF fighters and captured the title how many times???? OHHHHHHHHHHH and lets not forget that he sports 2 LESS KO losses on his record than Klitshcko who is STILL fighting…. And he fought guys like Norton, Shavers, Liston, Frazier and Foreman…. Meanwhile Wlad barely survived Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster LOL!!! Had Wlad had to face and equivalent gauntlet before he learned the art of grappling it would be interesting to see how things would look… And when he was stopped it was a by a prime fighter who was one of the BEST to ever lace up (Larry Holmes)…. There is no valid comparison

Correction=Bum like Purrity

Posted October 31, 2012 7:03 am

Tark trying to define Ali by a decision loss to Spinks during a 15 rounder when he was near the end of his career is simply NOT gonna fly, especially in light of him having the gravitas to comeback and avenge that loss…. As has been repeated MANY times Wlad Kits got destroyed by 3 unremarkable fighters, knocked out in the 2nd round by a borderline journeyman and stopped in the 12 by a BUM like Sanders….We all know you’re not an Ali fan and you attempt to use the END of his career to define him BUT your machinations are desperate and transparent…. Spinks proved yet another Ode to the pride Ali had, he NEVER let a scrub take him out anywhere close to his prime like Wlad Klitshcko did 3 times…You can say that Wlad improved 2000% if you wish but the bulk of his improvements are the result of him becoming synonymous with boredom…

if redmond had a life he would have called it an non event and then been done with it. but he cant leave it alone. he will be watching. thats all that matters.

Posted October 31, 2012 4:07 am

Sred sez….. “Ali was far more shopworn at 36 than Wladimir” … Maybe that’s why Ali was whipped by a 197-pound neophyte with 7 professional fights to his name.. BTW.. How do you get shopworn when you’re getting whipped by uncoordinated, China-chinned blooper punchers like Norton, and fat little butterballs like Frazier??? And in between fighting bums like Coopman, Dunn, Evangelista, Lubbers, and Wepner??? By having a leaky defense, which Ali had.. Ali pulled straight back from blooping punches and got hammered hard.. Wladimir did have a poor defense 9 years ago before he teamed up with master trainer Manny Steward — but since then his defense has improved 2000% … Ali went from bad to worse instead of being a dedicated technician who gets better with every training camp.

Posted October 31, 2012 2:43 am

Chris, Wlads a really talented Champion and I have enjoyed some of his fights (Brock, Byrd, Austin) but he is HW Champion and I’m a hardcore fan so I stay abreast of whats going on but alas things MUST be kept in perspective…. Big Klits NEVER beat a BIG threat and thats the issue with his reign… Do yoiu understand why folks don’t pay attention?? Why Wlad would need Pacquiao or Mayweather to get into a club free in a major US City?? Low profile homey…

Posted October 30, 2012 11:28 pm

Reality is that Wlad will NEVER become MORE by beating Ali “on the tip of your tongue”, because Ali is 70 and Wlad is 36….Wlads record has a quality gap that Ali’s did NOT hence him being universally regarded as either the best or 2nd best HW by all those who really matter… I know that in some hamlet in Germany they think he is the man but Ali has cemented his legacy and frankly Wlad could beat Jesus, Zeus, Hecules, Perseus and Thor in the same day and it would not matter as it pertains to Ali… But alas he is beating Mormeck, Thompson II and is slated to face Wach….Like a crab, you guys try to elevate him by attaching him to the TRUE standard bearers but to NO avail….Wlads a talented guy but his comp is simply going down in quality…IT has been noted…

Posted October 30, 2012 11:23 pm

Bit of history Tark, Ali was a FAR more shopworn 36 than Wlad is and he had boxed WAY more rounds he had been in with Liston 2x, Frazier 3X Foreman, and Norton 3x… Meanwhile his getting outpointed by Spinks was pedestrian when compared to Wlad getting crushed by the trio that got to him.. Wlad is coming off EASY low risk defenses like Mormeck and Tony Thompson two guys with a combined age of 80 years old…Klits is a fine fighter and is compiling a nice record but his road to 36 was EASY compared to Ali in the ring….

Sred, you sure seem to have your undies all twisted with Wlad as HW champ. Ali in 2X with old man Liston LMAO, and a bunch of CW, tiny HWs in this era. Frazier would be blasted out of the ring by dozens of HWs today. Fact is Ali was well past his prime and was getting gift decisions before his was 36. The L Lewis, K bro modern HW would be too strong and would beat Ali with little problem.

Posted October 30, 2012 11:01 pm

Watching Wach train… na he is to slow. Wald will get his rhythm and distance going, find an opening, and in the 5th round KO him. Problem here is Wald will be testing his distance and using his jab and when Wach decides to throw a punch he will get caught with the right.

Posted October 30, 2012 10:22 pm

Push? As if Wlad doesn’t have the power to send Wach to the canvas with a single punch? How long have you been a fan of boxing, 1 week?

If you think I am a outlier in this regard, check the betting odds YOURSELF…. Dude is a prohibitive underdog because he has not effectively fought on this level and everyone who cares about the dollars in their pockets KNOWS this…. When Wlad finds a really solid opponent I will stand with you clapping and yanking my meat… But Mormeck, Thompson and now Wach represent a trifecta of LAMES that don’t really belong in the ring with Wlad…. Sorry Kiddo!!

Posted October 30, 2012 7:02 pm

Rubes, Dan Rafael and the rest of the planet who knows boxing understands that Charr was a WEAK opponent for Vitali and that is why he stated as much… Wach is the SAME caliber, a guy who has NOT beat anyone of note and is a massive underdog… FACTS are FACTS…. I know you could put Wlad in there with ANYONE an you guys would pretend he is a conquering hero BUT let the record accurately reflect that his last 3 opponents have been WEAK, NO HOPERS…..

Posted October 30, 2012 6:59 pm

Mr Rubes

In a nutshell. The agenda of Sred is this: Tear down each opponent of the Klitschko as much as is possible (and ignore all potential strengths they bring in, don’t mention them) then, IF such an opponent manages to look good against a Klitschko it will just give Sred (in his head only of course) more ammunition to belittle the Klitschkos by saying “Hey Look what this terrible opponent did to this so called great Klitschko”. Get a life Red

Posted October 30, 2012 6:46 pm

Mr Rubes

Sredmond is as predicable as night follows the day. Sredmond will do EVERYTHING in his power to belittle a Klitschko opponent! Will he talk about some of the potential dangers certain opponents might bring in like Power? Size? Age (as in when Vitali took on undefeated Charr, an undefeated contender over 10 years younger) and so on? NO! He will only fault them to the extreme. Why? BECAUSE, IF one of the Klitschkos looks even bad winning, perhaps being shook or even dropped, SREDMOND will get that adrenaline rush and say “Look Look!! Somebody so bad managed to do that to a klitschko, and all you think he is the best of all time!!” and so on…Sredmond lives his sad little life HOPING that one day one of the brothers will actually look bad in the ring (and nirvana for him would be a loss) Sredmond was calling for so long a Haye Vitali fight saying how “deserving” Haye is. Why?? Because he HOPES Haye can even shake Vitali, perhaps even win. And if neither happened? Then Sred will say- Ah well, Haye was only a blown up cruiser anyway, no big deal. You won’t win with Sred. But he is far too obvious, his hate campaign.

OK Tark so what is the issue calling a 23-1 fight by YOUR admission a GROSS mismatch?? 7-1 is a MASSIVE underdog 23-1 as you just stated is a complete NO-Hoper so in essence you validate my point…. Are we supposed to be content with the HW Champ of the world facing a succession of 23-1 underdogs??? Silly Man

Posted October 30, 2012 5:46 pm

Again Beer Party you really betray your fascist leanings… My commentary on the Klits is well within the bounds of discussion on boxing yet you want a world where NO one criticizes nor points out the obvious regarding these fighters… Wlad is the HW Champion of the World and that historically WAS the most prestigious title in sport so his record, defenses and standing are naturally going to be scrutinized by a hardcore boxing fan….If you cannot stomach the idea that Wach is a substandard opponent thats just too damn bad, BUT its a fact…

Posted October 30, 2012 5:44 pm

@ h….. Douglas was a 42-1 underdog… Freakin’ unprecedented… Tyson was 23 and in his prime. Wladimir is 36… I’d make the odds for an upset here about 23-1, roughly what they were for Lewis-Rahman I.

Posted October 30, 2012 4:48 pm

Knocking the Klitschko’s is Sred’s full time job — so he has to watch in case something embarrassing happens to Wladimir… If it does, his adrenaline rush will explode off the charts … It’s been a long time.

Posted October 30, 2012 4:41 pm

Tark. It will be really big upset if Wach win this fight. Much bigger as was Douglas – Tyson. Wach hit hard if he has time to hit, but against Wlad he is far too slow and easy target.

Posted October 30, 2012 4:38 pm

SREDMOND continues piling up the posts on this “NON-event.” He will be on EPIX that day.

Posted October 30, 2012 3:59 pm

Bill Patrice Jones…., I said Wach has the “possibility” of dropping Wladimir.. He’s a very hard puncher.. He’ll probably get a good hard shot in at some point like David Haye did a few times.. It will be a little easier for Wach to follow up a hard punch because he’s 6’7.5″ X 250.. And Wach is not just a big, tall, dumb slowpoke like Ray Austin, Derrick Jefferson, Jameel McCline, or Tony Thompson.. Remember, Ali was only 36 when he got whipped by unranked neophyte Leon Stinks.. Just so happens Wladimir is 36 … I’m not looking for an upset…who is??? But Buster Douglas trashed Tyson when nobody was looking for it.

Posted October 30, 2012 2:53 pm

Bears, owing to their dominant size coupled with uncanny skill and athleticism (for such size), your assessment is quite reasonable. I don’t see the little guys like Ali and Frazier even winning rounds against prime Klits.

Posted October 30, 2012 2:43 pm

1) vitaly klitschko 2) wladimir klitschko 3) lennox lewis 4) the rest of the little guys like ali, louis, etc. 5)holmes foreman etc

Posted October 30, 2012 1:54 pm

I’m looking forward to this one for sure!

Posted October 30, 2012 1:50 pm

Give it up there is NO way to portray this Wach as a real threat to Wlad, the reason you say you looked on Youtube is because you cannot find this guy anywhere else…The fact they picked a big body who is NOT 100 years old to get KOed this time is window dressing for the naive and uniformed…Wlad is going to have a decent opponent again at some point… This guy simply does NOT fit the bill…

Different opinions are good, otherwise this site would not be all that interesting , but preventing someone like sredmon in running an endless campaign against the Klitschko´s has nothing to do with democracy. The majority are here because they like boxing, not because they want to debate ridiculous setups to belittle some boxers accomplishments.

Beer Party, this is a democracy they cannot “ban” someone because his opinions contrast with those of zealots and Klitschko fundamentalists like yours… Grow a pair and make a case as opposed to weeping like a woman its truly unbecoming or someone who is trying to pass himself off as a man on a boxing message board…

Posted October 30, 2012 11:14 am

Anonymous the ONLY place Wlad is considered “The Greatest” is between the ears of you, your cohorts and maybe in Germany…. We all know this era of HW boxing is the equivalent of the “Dark Ages” no one is recording it and very few are paying attention….Trying to present his comp as superior to other Greats in history provides me with a really nice chuckle, because the comparison is not even close to valid….Who is the toughest, most famously lethal boxer that Wlad Klits has EVER beat??? Chris Byrd??? Samuel Peter?? To his credit I see Wlad as leaps beyond Vitali whose resume is a monument to mediocrity and even Dan Rafael alluded to a dud of an ending for him fighting and inexperienced and unheralded opponented like Charr… Again JUST the facts man I know that if Wlad went out and beatup SMW Edison Miranda, guys like you would rave about how awesome he is…. But purists know its been awhile since Wlad really was in the ring with a credible threat….The most dangerous guy he faced in
years was David Haye and he comes to the ring no heavier than 212 or so…. FACTS

Posted October 30, 2012 11:08 am

Sorry guys but I know that bubble busting is frowned upon but facts are facts this is ANOTHER VERY weak defense…Wlads stringing together the numbers but NOT the names… Is that entirely his fault?? No its not but trying to sell OLD prior KO victim Thompson, OLD, undersized Cruiserweight Mormeck, and a Lummox who has not beaten ANYONE as strong or even decent competition is NOT in line with reality….Now sit here and tell me how terrific and dangerous these last 3 killers are???? LMAO

lol at Klitschko haters, what a losers. It’s statistical fact that Wladimir has beaten the greater opposition than what guys like Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson and Lewis have. Face it losers, Wladimir Klitschko is the best HW champ ever.

I thought they banned redmon, too bad, because this fellar gets a hard on criticizing the Klits, in every thinkable and unthinkable way. With acts like this the tone will inevitably get hars.

Redmond happens to like boxing as a sport. These klit fans cant distinguish HW boxing as a concept from the klits and their cash cow match ups.

Sredmond wants sooo… very much to be a compelling boxing aficionado and consort with the meaningful contributors in the comments section. Fact is Sred has only two friends to hang out with, his abnormally immense and at all times petulant EGO and his wildly awry ethno view of boxing.

Any real boxing fan KNOWS this is another in what is becoming a LONG line of WEAK defenses for the Klits…. We have guys like Tark raving about Wachs padded record this dude is no different than Vitali getting a piece of Charrs ass…. This is the 3rd NO HOPER in a row that Wlad has fought and thats just a fact….2, 40 year olds, (one a Cruiser) and now an untested guy who is just going to look big when he hits the canvas…. Sigh

Right… Just another non-event against an undefeated 6’7”X250lb 27-0 number one mandatory challenger, who’s never been knocked down and is coming off of 7 straight KO victories… This will be the first time Wladimir gets hit hard in 17 months. His fight with Mormeck was a disgrace. Mormeck was looking for the exit and a big paycheck. Tony Thompson put up a hard fight before getting brutally KO’d in his first Wladimir fight—so his main concern was avoiding another smashing shot in the rematch. This goal he accomplished and it wasn’t pretty. Wach wants a win more than a check, I guarantee that. I don’t sense an upset—but I think he’ll ring Wladimir’s bell, and possibly put him down.

Posted October 30, 2012 1:17 am

Yes the selfishness of the klits is limitless. They speak often about what is “good for boxing” and yet match up the “deserving” JMM of Tony the tiger Thompson…………clearly this kind of matchmaking is very bad for boxing but good for their bank balances.

If Wach’s chin is good, Wach wins KO.’ so if wlad doesnt ko Wach he lose ? when did enyone outbox Wlad ?, i hope for a good and exciting fight, but Wach doesnt have the tolls to outbox or KO Wlad, a lucky punch ? , well Wlad has never been stopped by a single punch, and Wach arent the new Corrie Sanders.

Actually, the opposite is true. Wlad was less cautious pre Emanual.
Emanual taught Wlad the art of Holding, being defensive, and using
caution and saving his stamina for the entire fight. Without Manny
Wlad may be more offensive like in his old days when he KO’d every
MOFO put in front of him.
I am tuning in this fight and enjoying a HeavyWeight Title Fight.
I will sorely miss Steward not being in the corner, for I am still in
some shock about his death.
Two Big Boys going at it, should be good, and will not go the distance.
Go Wlad!!!!!!!!!!!
