Chavez Jr. has to be the most Over hyped Mexican Bum in over 20 years… followed by Canelo… He’s been an absolute Flop, crumbling when facing fighters with even minimal Boxing Skills who Chavez Jr. out weighed by over 25+lbs…

Yeah, forgot about that, SRedmond. I’m sure guys like Andre, Paulie, and Roy, and Raul, make pretty good money for commentating and analyzing fights. After all, they’re damn good at it and they should be paid appropriately.

Froch vs JCCjr?? Yeah right. I’ll believe it when the bells rings. Junior has pulled out a lot’a fights, especially when he can’t cheat his way out of weigh-ins, piss test… Maybe he will man up this time but not really expecting this tussle to go about. Or he’ll cry “I just can’t make 168”. shhhh

Boxtradumas And a BIG thanks for bring it up. Those “fools” are only looking out for the best interest of dear Granny. Unlike YOU, we GENUINELY feel for her since you only care about leaching and the inheritance you’re expecting, which is the MAIN reason you’re still hanging around, you VULTURE! Granny already knows of your evil intentions, that’s why her room is always LOCKED and BOLTED aaaaand with alarm & surveillance cameras too. Did you know that she sleeps in her rocking chair with a sawed off shotgun on her lap? Take it as a warning, you swine. No, were not hoping that your death comes exactly from Ebola, any other way of your “departure” will do: hit by a car, locomotive, 18 wheeler, heart attack, shark attack, asthma attack, jerking off attack, taking it up your ‘fart box’ attack, clogged heart valve/cardiac arrest from eating too much of Granny’s FREELOADED greasy bacon, poisoned by Granny, shot by Granny, throat slit by Granny, doused in gasoline and torched by Granny, Hit Man paid by Granny, pillow suffocation by Granny… Yep, any one of these “natural causes” will do just fine. Need we say.. drop dead? LOL!!

Thanks to the FOOLS that wished death upon me. Sad that some people would rather me be dead just so they can FALSELY claim to be the greatest fight PROPHET ever born! I am going to go get some breakfast and try to hide the remote before mom tries to switch the tv to CNN again. Bacon and classic boxing coming up.

Hidbee he does need to get busy, as for his $$$$$ I don’t know what his investments look like or if he made some decent change working on telecasts with HBO… Ward seems fairly modest in his personal life, married, kids etc perhaps he is not stressed because if he was then he would JUMP back in the ring… But I agree he should settle this Goosen mess and get on with it…

“He is not gonna start selling Bibles even though that would be better for his opponents.”

Yeah, but unless he has sufficient endorsements he isn’t making any money and that has to be tough. Ward has fought only once a year since May 2011. The guy really needs to stay healthy and get busy.

Having been debating about froch ward fight, I watched it again on youtube and I have got to say, froch gave a great account of himself and it was a hell of lot closer than what people say, I mean one judge who incidently is english had froch winning only 2 rounds , wtf was he watching? the card girls!!! the other 2 judges scored it 115 – 113 x 2, to hear some people on here , its like ward slaughtered froch which is far from the truth, looking at wards battered face at the end shows us he took a lot more punishment from froch than froch got scored for.

It’s not even remotely competitive.

Patrick, Pac Man moved up in weight and in doing so they made MORE $$$$$$$ Golovkin might have to do the same if he wants to get paid… If Cotto nor Canelo fight him at 160 then he is gonna have trouble making serious bank.. More foreign fighters without a US fanbase are not gonna get the job done financially.

Even a battle worn Froch will eat up Chavez and spit out the bones, we are talking about a guy as big as Chavez if not bigger, with heavier hands and an iron chin. Froch will walk through Chavez and put him on the canvas by round 8!

Good action fight. It makes more sense than Cotto vs Jr since nobody believes he can make 160. Froch wins though, whereas if Jr somehow made 160 he’d be the favorite over Cotto.

Good logic/assessment EZ E! We know what Froch brings into the ring, but we just don’t know [for sure] what Jr brings, at least not every time. I think Jr would be/get up for this fight, and I think he’s learned a bit more in the last couple fights, while I believe Froch has probably started to slide. Something I think we’ll both agree on is it would be a great fight, and one that should be made.

@loomis Very well put! Brza post are worthless. Another wannabe “expert”, as if we don’t have enough of them already. After reconsidering we’ve decided to withdraw the CLOWN job offer. Our clowns are required to meet a stipulated I.Q. standards, something that’s obviously clear he DOESN’T meet.

But Pacman kept moving up in weight. How would his KO percentage have fared if he stayed at 135 or even 140? I’d bet he would have maintained it. That’s why I’d be happy to see GGG continue to fight at 160.

Posted July 30, 2014 1:19 pm

Golovkin has guys thinking he is gonna go thru his career Undefeated and stopping EVERY boxer he faces.. Carl Froch is a TOUGH man…He has out toughed MORE than one guy who was getting the better of him or thought that they could trade with him all night long.. ie Groves, Taylor, Bute… Right NOW GGG has that frenzy going amongst some fans that leads them to believe no one can hear the bell.. I hate to KEEP pointing out the obvious he has compiled that record against a lot of guys who were resume padding… Even the GREAT Pac Man saw his TKOs begin to dry up after Cotto and Oscar (it happens) and this was a guy who was walking thru World Class fighters like Barrera, Morales 2x, Cotto and ODH…. GGG is on the ride up the always either LEVEL off or come down… I would not be so quick to think he is gonna just crush Froch.

Posted July 30, 2014 12:45 pm

This fight might tell us MORE about Froch than about Chavez Jr, like how much does Froch actually have left in his tank? Although he won both fights over Groves, he sure looked vulnerable and easy to score on and he isn’t going to get any better, quite the contrary. We already know about Chavez Jr’s limitations, not matter how hard he trains. There were no issues about his dedication & preparation for the 2nd Brian Vera fight, yet he didn’t look all that much better. I know I wasn’t impressed, as wasn’t many others. Froch is still levels above Vera. One thing for sure, Chavez will be getting Froch at the right time, Froch has been showing his age and wear’n tear and Chavez Jr has proven to have a solid chin and grit in times of adversity. Froch on the other hand will bring the heat, willing to so all that it takes, and some. It will be probably be decided down the stretch. Can Julio Jr hurt Froch? hmm.. I think so but.. can he hurt him enough to discourage or detain Froch momentum?? That’s a complete different story. Were not talking about Brian Vera, we’re talking a Carl “The Cobra” Froch, there’s a difference, a BIG one. If the Julio Jr of the Vera 2 is all he’s got then… it won’t nearly be enough. Personally, I expect it to be a good one all the way and.. I expect that it will be Froch’s hand being raised when it’s all over. Peace to all!

Posted July 30, 2014 12:42 pm

Ward might NEVER be a huge draw, most guys in boxing are NOT… The reason Mayweather has everyone from 140 to 160 wanting to scratch his “Taint” is because he has that ability to get people interested in what he is doing good or bad and he does not lose…Ward being one of the BEST at what he does will have to be the reward for now… He is smart and has done color commentary on HBO, look at where Mayweather and Pac were PPV wise with under 30 fights? Ward has time to grow his brand he just needs to get back in the ring and keep dominanting…

Posted July 30, 2014 12:35 pm

Froch fighting JCC is fine by me it looks like a really good action fight on paper!… As for Ward, Froch is his leftover and he is clearly seeking to get his promotional issues resolved before resuming his career…

Posted July 30, 2014 12:32 pm

Sredmond, are you upset that Froch is set for a mega fight and not Ward?!! Lol. Like I’ve been telling you, Ward has no following and no mega fight, unless he wants to go up and get destroyed by Kovalev.

And by the way, all those who believe that Froch could not withstand Golovkin’s power, and that he could KO anyone at 168 and 175, need to learn a few facts:

(1) Mehdi Bouadla, who went the distance with Golovkin, was subsequently KO’d by both Kessler in the 6th and Abraham in the 8th.

(2) Ian Gardner, who also went the distance with Golovkin, had already been KO’d a couple of fights earlier by Chad Dawson.

(3) Amar Amari, who also went the distance with Golovkin, had already been KO’d FOUR TIMES against nobodies, in round 2, 4, 4, and 2, and was KO’d by an obscure French boxer with a 40% KO record called Robert Roselia just three months before facing Golovkin.

And yet you “know” that Froch — who surely has one of the best chins in boxing, and is much bigger than anyone Golovkin has ever fought — couldn’t take Golovkin’s punches, right?

Facts are you friends. Please try to become acquainted with them before running your mouths off, folks.

Eddie hearn started bringing up golovkin s name after he ko d macklin . Listen carefully if froch fights chavez , junior would be looking for 10 mill because of his huge Mexican ( 95% of his fans ) ppv following in the u s . All the us ppv goes to paying junior . So froch will be left with the British ppv . Golovkin n dre r considered bigger threats n better fighters than junior who is the less known of the 3 in Britain thereby leavin froch with a smaller ppv cash pot . Facts not opinion s

@BRZA yur a FKN CLOWN! Where do you get your TRUE facts/material? No, the offer for JCC jr wasn’t 10 mil for GGG. Check out the REAL reason he pulled out of the negotiations, you BOZO! He WANTED that much (the offer was closer to 6.5 mil) and didn’t want to sign a contract extension, Arum told him to FK off. That besides the fact that his Daddy and teams never wanted him to fight GGG to begin with. The overall opinion in Mexico expressed that JCC jr shouldn’t take the fight. That said, if you need a job look us up, we can always use a CLOWN, you seem like a “natural”!!

Ebola Virus

Ignorance is bliss until the Ebola Virus hits the USA and it’s coming fast. Since March, there have been 672 deaths in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone and now it has hit urban Nigeria. This highly contagious and often fatal disease spreads among humans via bodily fluids, including sweat, meaning one can get sick from touching an infected person.

Patrick Sawyer, 40 (a US citizen) who worked for the Liberian government, died in Lagos on Friday in Nigeria’s first confirmed death from Ebola. You won’t know you have the Ebola virus until it’s too late!! Ebola will wipe out mankind fast. It’s only a matter of weeks before it strikes in the USA and when it does, it will spread like wildfire through the country. The Ebola virus is coming to the USA right now! Be afraid, be VERY VERY afraid.

Boxing fan, well said , I could, nt have put it any better.

Posted July 30, 2014 12:00 pm

About Froch’s comments on Golovkin: it’s not like these were premeditated. He was asked about how how one could deal with Golovkin during a joint interview with Groves, and he said, with a grin on his face, “I think you just swerve him like the plague. He punches like a mule. Dangerous fight. You just don’t need to be in there with him”.

However, he said this in such a way as to pay tribute to Golovkin’s power, and to acknowledge the widespread view of Golovkin as a kind of prime-Tyson Middleweight, and it was clearly more a casual off-the-top-of-the-head reply than something he was seriously contemplating. He also added that he didn’t know if GGG’s power would carry up to 168.

But even if Froch would prefer not to take on such a dangerous young fighter in the twilight of his career, at age 38, at least he’s being honest about it, unlike the BS you usually get. And let’s face it: nobody in the sport has had such a long run of back-to-back fights against elite opponents as Froch, In short, if you doubt his courage and heart and grit, you obviously know nothing about him.

The bottom line is that at this stage in his career he wants, and has more than earned, his swansong in Vegas, and to get as much money per fight as possible. If GGG were a household name outside of boxing like Chavez Jr is, and brought as many fans, as much interest, and as much money to the table, I have little doubt that Froch would be up for it. But the truth is that however popular Golovkin is on boards like this, he doesn’t have that kind of following, and so if Froch decides to take more money and fame for less risk for once, given his track record of taking on the very best, fight after fight after fight, it would be churlish indeed to knock him for it.

And as for those who think it’s a foregone conclusion that Froch would get KO’d, again, you obviously don’t know what kind of a chin, and what kind of grit, heart and determination Froch has. Sure, he got reckless and walked straight into a hard left hand against Groves, but that punch would have taken out any other Super Middleweight, and Froch came back strong. Sure, it’s possible that Golovkin could carry his firepower up to Super Middleweight, but don’t forget that Golovkin has never fought at 168, is much smaller than Froch, has much shorter reach, and if Froch were to take him into the later rounds, it would become a war of attrition — something that Froch, but not Golovkin, knows all about.

So please, before you spit BS about how Golovkin would easily KO Froch, and how Froch is ducking him, try learning some facts so that you can make a more intelligent and neutral assessment.

How do you figure that “Froch makes more money facing Golovkin” FACT is that Golovkin is NOT a big draw at this point… He did NOT sell out the adjusted portion of MSG that he was in and his ratings dipped… Ward is not a big draw either, that said he and Froch have the benefit of a rivalry to sell and TRUE bragging rights at 168 pounds… Golovkin is the more winnable fight for Carl Froch that I can agree on because he will be there to be hit by the Cobra whereas Ward is slick and defensively responsible…

The excuses have already began: If Froch wins the Chavez fan boys will say that he’s STILL too “young” (28yr old & FIFTY ONE fights who’s been fighting PRO for ELEVEN YEARS!!) or.. didn’t train seriously enough or.. wasn’t ready yet or.. hasn’t matured yet or a zillion other excuses that will clog this site. I have never been a fan of Chavez Jr. The fact his title and reputation was built off of his fathers name. He was fed stiffs with no pop or boxing skills until Martinez and was exposed for a fraud. He can take a beating and has some skill but lacks the heart and motovation to be a fighter. Froch would out fight him and take him to the late rounds where lack of training will drown Jr. He is not his father and never has been and never will be. Mexican Fight Fans want to relieve his fathers glory days and follow this kid with their hearts. It has to hurt when they are dissapointed again and again.

Hidbee, we KNOW that Arum “wants something” but Jr is showing he is willing to rot on the shelf as opposed to allow his future to be dictated by Arum… At some point I would think that Arum would do the “one off” and move on with life… Cotto left, Oscar left, Floyd left at some point is it business or spite? JCC is not an active fighter anyway get a good fight out of him and then allow him to go self destruct on his own…

Yep that’s the one I saw, again if the money is right Carl Froch has shown he will fight most anyone… He would have a better shot with GGG than Ward who is just too technically crafty for him whereas he and Golovkin would be a battle of wills and as the English I believe say “bottle”… At this stage of the game its about $$$$$ for these older fighters.. If GGG cannot fill seats or create a PPV event then he will have to build his name… Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were ALREADY doing PPV’s when they got the shot at Oscar… Golovkin just had a ratings dip on HBO (not sure why) but it is what it is….

Apparently Arum wants something in return for getting Chavez the big money fights.

Here’s the quote: “Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.”

Posted July 30, 2014 10:26 am

Patrick, it defies logic to me that Froch would do something at this stage of his career to brand himself “openly afraid of GGG” if he did not want to fight Golovkin there are 1000 less embarrassing ways to do it… My thought based on the quote I saw and Kellermans discussion was that he was noting that he would not be trading with the guy as opposed to outright dodging him… AGAIN Golovkin has said that HE only wants a fight at 168 or 154 if it is PPV and that negates Froch who is not a US PPV star…

Posted July 30, 2014 10:22 am

No doubt Froch is a warrior, he DOES have the best resume in boxing, but at 37 Froch may be smart enough to know his ring time is limited and a fight with a guy like GGG at this point isn’t likely to extend that ring time. Most older fighters start picking and choosing as retirement draws near — you can’t blame them.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:20 am

HBO talked about it after the GGG fight this weekend. There is some interpretation, but I heard the words as Froch is going to avoid GGG. Others may disagree with my take of the statement, but it doesn’t sound like Froch is eager to get it on with GGG –it’s not like he’s calling him out. Let see if Froch clarifies in the coming days/weeks.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:15 am

Froch would demolish JCC Jr. End of story. Froch has too much determination for a feeble minded pot smoker.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:14 am

That quote was open to interpretation Kellerman discussed that, it was debatable whether it was the style in which he would fight GGG or outright avoidance which is unlikely… Froch punking out openly strikes me as unlikely… He has faced ALOT of very tough fighters and called out Calzaghe…

Posted July 30, 2014 10:14 am

I find it hard to believe that Froch keeps saying he won’t fight guys that punch hard: GGG and now, Froch. I doubt it.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:12 am

Patrick could you give me the source were you got that quote, like to read it.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:09 am

If Chavez commits to training this is a TOUGH fight all around.. Fact is that Chavez Jr has a good chin, he can punch and he is BIG…Froch also has the same qualities, NEITHER is a virtuoso boxer and despite getting the wins Froch has shown some vulnerability during his last few bouts getting stunned and dropped… Hopefully Bob Arum will not try to twist Chavez arm with a longer deal when he clearly does not wanna box under the Top Rank umbrella any longer..

Posted July 30, 2014 10:05 am

The latest quote from Froch seems to indicate he wants NOTHING to do with GGG. Froch basically saying GGG punches WAY too hard — and that he would be open to fight anyone BUT GGG.

Posted July 30, 2014 10:02 am

It’s too early to predict this one. MUCH depends on Jr’s pre-fight camp. If Jr is [again] a dope-smoking, ice cream eating party boy, Froch will blow him out. But if ALL reports say Jr is training like a fiend and his hungry for victory, he could win it — he has the package to defeat Froch. But that’s the thing, Jr. is always a wildcard — you never know what version you’ll get. Not knowing which version steps into the ring, I’d bet my money on Froch — he’s the safer bet. But we’ll see…

Chavez will drop Froch in a true battle. Chavez wins a close UD with his youth and heart while an EXHAUSTED Froch feels disappointment after giving it his all.

Loomis I deal in facts not opinion s so here it goes . Froch s last 3 fights were against yusaf mack n groves 2 guys well below daniel geales level . Before that froch fought bute in his hometown ko 4 (good win ) triple g knocked out bute in less than 3 wit 16oz gloves n headgear on . Before that froch was in a tournament where he was mandated to fight whovever the tornament throws up . So now is the real measure of frochs fight anyone image (which he loves throwing around ) . He picks a dope smokin fast food eating drop out for less money . Thats right less money . Chavez will be looking for all the american upside n froch will get to keep British ppv . Golovkin n dre r bigger threats n names in Britain as lets face it u can count Chavez jr non Mexican fans on one hand and correct me if im wrong but there aint many Mexican s in Britain loomis r they ?

Correction: Chavez has 73 inches of reach.

Posted July 30, 2014 9:22 am

These guys actually are about the same size. Both are 6 foot 1 inches tall, Chavez has a 71-inch reach, Froch has 75 inches. Chavez should be comfortable at 168 pounds. So it comes down to skills, heart and dedication. Chavez, I think, throws more compact punches and has better overall technique — pappa has taught him well. I think he’s also a bit quicker. That said, Froch wins in the heart, and most certainly in the dedication department. But at now 37 years old, and a ton of ring miles on his odometer, can Froch still bang it out against a younger, fresher fighter? His last fight would say yes, but a “dedicated” Chavez would be a much better, stronger fighter than Groves. I’d love to see the answer get played out in the ring! C’mon Arum, make it happen!

good match.

Prof Konje

I haven’t read the article yet but I hope that it happens as it should be a good contest. However, although Arum may want this to take place (for the $$$), no one can make Chavez take the fight if he doesn’t want it. Think about it. If Chavez does face Froch, it will be someone closer to his size for a change.

The Mad Scientist

I agree that if we’re going off of resumes, Chavez Jr has nothing on Froch and this fight could be consider a total mismatch..but Im also like others here who see some good qualities in Jr but he has to prepare and train like he really wants to win..anything less than that would be a let down,,WAR!

’76 Olympic Team

The Limeys invaded us in 1776 & 1812 & again in 1964…so bring them on. BTW, I’ll be pulling for Froch; been a big fan of his since he kayoed Taylor in the final round after losing the entire fight. Still laughing about someone saying Carl looks like Marty Feldman. I remember when he stole a brain labeled ‘abnormal’ and then told Dr. Frankenstein it was from Abby Normal.

Chavez is slow and ponderous …. Froch will outbox then out punch him. ‘low-risk-high-reward-fight’ for Froch. Chavez is very mediocre has doesn’t have anything to trouble Froch.

Posted July 30, 2014 8:30 am

Would be a great fight watch, can’t honestly see how Chavez could win this, he’s really not in the same class as Froch if I’m brutally honest. As long as he doesn’t get into a swinging match with Froch early this fight might just stay competitive for the first half of the fight. My prediction Froch to win by round 8 with brutal KO

Posted July 30, 2014 8:10 am

A great match-up, IF Chavez Jr fully preps himself. If Jr does, I think he could win this one. Chavez throws quicker and straighter shots, and his trademark bodywork could wear down the aging Froch. I hate to bet against the seasoned and proven warrior that Froch is, but a “focused” Chavez I believe has a serious chance to score the upset.

Posted July 30, 2014 7:29 am

Neil mate Froch deserves a big Marquee fight to showcase the oldskool warrior he is, Degale doesn’t bring anything to the table.

Posted July 30, 2014 7:12 am

Froch will bust his aZZ up, plain and simple.

Posted July 30, 2014 7:11 am

Funny how people laughed at the fact that ward was interested in fighting chavez jr.

Posted July 30, 2014 6:56 am

Papo – Chavez weight class he should fight at is shark infested, he would be iced in 2 rounds.

Posted July 30, 2014 6:51 am

Brza da originator…….here we go again with your ridiculous rants..brza da origintor says ….. trying to build up froch, s tough man image!!!! Name me another fighter that has fought top notch competition back to back from 160 to 175 like froch has done in 7/8 fights????? Golovkin??? Don, t even go there!! You seem to have this hatred for froch, spewing boke over every thread he is mentioned on , did he knock one of your men out? BTW, golovkins team are looking to fight soliman the weakest likk with 11 losses next, no mention of froch, andre, kessler, bute, abraham, jnr, pascal, or any of the top 154 fighters. Brza, you really need to wise up and start talking sense on here or yall end up the laughing stock of ESB,

I pick Froch by decision, better puncher and better conditioning.

Boxing Fan

This match-up has “FIGHT OF THE YEAR” written all over it. You might expect Vegas to be filled with Chavez Jr fans, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they were to get drowned out, and perhaps even outnumbered, by very loud Nottingham City/Froch fans.

I haven’t seen enough of Chavez Jr to say who would win this. I’ve heard that he has an iron chin, but then so has Froch, and he has been fighting MUCH superior competition, at a heavier weight, so based on their respective records and the fact that Chavez Jr has struggled with the likes of Matt Vanda and Brian Vera (even the Mexicans thought Vanda had won their first fight, and booed him out the stadium), I’d have to pick Froch.

Chavez Junior is very mediocre

Cant begrudge Froch a ‘low-risk-high-reward’ fight. However I would prefer a Froch-DeGale fight which would be more competitive and would give us UK fans another great Wembly event.

Froch….Chavez wont b the bully 4 once. Diff world @ 168, not 4 Chavez, he’ll weigh a bit heavy than usual….Big difference in size of opponent. Froch Win.

Creamy Little Flap

Why are you people so so stupid. What have you EVER seen from Chavez that makes you think he has a chance against a tested world level SMW?

Posted July 30, 2014 4:44 am

Pit Bull

What a fight this will be. Chavez fit and in shape should get the win in a fight of the year. With frochs huge balls you never know. Can’t wait

Posted July 30, 2014 4:01 am

Best match up available for a swan song really, given Ward’s continued spiral into self inflicted obscurity.

Posted July 30, 2014 3:46 am

Society against Bra’s

Chavez Jnr is just miles away from being in Froch’s league.

He was a C-list Middleweight.

At SMW he is less than nothing, fumbling around with journeyman Brian Vera.

He would get Cobra-crushed.

Froch’s right hand is “The Sheriff of Nottingham” and he would put Chavez away for good.

Tinker bell

Mephisto – you are on the wanker list! Lol.
Good match up. If Chavez remains a lazy sod, Froch will have his way and have a nice little earner he thoroughly deserves.

Posted July 30, 2014 2:05 am

te tumbo

Solid-action matchup. Chavez Jr. typically rises to the occasion and Froch does not want the final fight of his career to be an “L” v. Chavez Jr. guaranteed collision between these two. Jr. will have to prepare for “Dastardly” Froch’s rough-stuff and by that i mean to retaliate. it’s the Only sure-fire way to compel a ref to take charge of the bout. at which point, Froch and Chavez Jr. can simply engage in the punishing exchanges that make this a great matchup.

Hope Chavez trains for this one would love to see him wipe the wipe the smirk off frochs arrogant face especially now froch has decided to take the easier of the 3 options ( dre triple g ) . Pure posturing on froch n hearns part usong there names to build up frochs tough man image . I mean was this match up ever in doubt

Good match up can Chavez finally graduate, above Canelo? Froth final fight, it seems, he is ready to retire. This is good match for money in Wimbledon stadium. They will need another stadium to fill and another Froch-Chavez. This is a fight for both to gain stardom, Ward on the horizon for another Superfight.

Yeah, we’ll see how many times you’ll flip flop from here til January. You’ll say, “It wasn’t me” or “My jesters said that” or his ever popular bullsht, “I was right, I’m the…” Like it has been already said, you flip flop more than a fish out of water with an epileptic attack! Seriously, did you beat your wife half to death?? Are you really still living in your Granny’s basement and is she really paying you child support allotments? Just askin, you mfkn miserable bast*rd!!

Posted July 29, 2014 11:08 pm

Chavez SHOULD be fighting in at least the super middleweight division. He’s been preying on smaller guys for years.

this will be another Martinez Vs Jr. kind of fight but the ref will stop this fight due to the beating Jr. will take.

Be a good fight

This is going to one whale of a fight with Jr. Fighting Carl ( The Cockeyed Cobra) Froch. Froch will get his arse handed to him so he can slink back to that cesspool land they call the British Isles.

Further proof of Arum being all talk.Arum don’t want PACQUIAO VS MAYWEATHER and doesn’t want GGG VS CHAVEZ JR that would put an end to his CASH COWS……

Why till next year, WTF! I like this fight, it could turn out to be the super middleweight version of Gatti/Ward..

the beating carl “the marty feldman of boxing ” froch will sustain in this fight will be unprecedented in the history of boxing

I thought MGM n TR were not doing business togather now

Posted July 29, 2014 9:26 pm

I’ll say it depends on how seriously Chavez takes boxing, this fight and his training. I wouldn’t call him lazy, but he’s not much interested in greatness. His main goal appears to be to make some money and enjoy his youth.

If Chavez were as dedicated to boxing as was his father, he would be unbeatable.

Posted July 29, 2014 9:17 pm

MY Jester took Chavez Jr. and remains as MY personal laughing stock. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Posted July 29, 2014 9:13 pm

Just as I suggested about a YEAR ago. I COMMEND Arum for taking MY advice as this will be a money making Fight. Not only a money making Fight but an entertaining Fight for casual fans that don’t know what GREAT Boxing really looks like. I’ll take Froch by decision. He’s a little more difficult to hit than Chavez Jr……Froch by British BATTERING decision.

Posted July 29, 2014 9:11 pm

Yeah I like this fight. Problem is if Arum tries to extend Chavez contract then the fight won’t get made. Froch by KO if it does

Posted July 29, 2014 9:05 pm

Hah, Froch destroys Jr. The only reason Jr. has ever won is because he’s the much bigger fighter. Froch leaves Jr. in a heap on the canvas.
