Earn it Man

Bad news. This means fans in the UK have to listen to John Rawling, the worst boxing commentator in the world, who likes to spend the whole night talking about the betting odds and hotels he stayed in back in 1992. BoxNation should let viewers listen to the US Showtime commentary, which have professional, educated commentators. John Rawling is feeble and lazy with his commentary and spoils every fight he commentates on. I once heard Rawling at the end of a fight say he scored it for one of the fighters by eight rounds to four. Except the fight was a ten rounder.

Manny Pacquiao has carried the sport of boxing for more than a decade. Excitement, drama, historic fights have all become a part of the fighter most observers believe is the greatest fighter of all time. As we near the most anticipated fight in boxing history, the buzz has become louder and louder throughout the world. The gyms, restaurants, local businesses, all the media outlets including TV stations, Radio, and all the social networks have blown up. Earlier today, Boxing Legends Julio Cesar Chavez and Marco Antonio Barrera came by to cast their praise on Manny Pacquiao. What an unbelievable scene to see a three of the best ever meet inside the famous Wild card gym. Legends like these two only added to other legends visits since Manny Pacquiao arrived for his training camp in Los Angeles. The city of angles is beside itself as the world wants to see Manny Pacquiao. I took a break earlier in the day to do some jogging and set up a similar route to Manny’s route . I took my 3 dogs along with me, who by the way are named Pacman. We had a great jog. I returned home and put on my Manny Pacquiao six pack video and worked on my abs. I luckily caught a short clip of Manny doing some sparring followed by an interview. Manny is spitting fire, and trust me, there will be brutality and carnage on April 12. The man is in high gear, and his punches are coming faster than the human eye can see. I really do hope all boxing fans are tuning in to see this legend in action. He is a legitimate master piece that will not be around forever. When Manny Paacquiao retires, it will be like seeing Babe Ruth retire or more importantly like seeing a ROCKY movie without Sylvester Stallone. Life will not be the same, and Boxing will never recover. This fight against Timothy Bradley will be epic. Bradley has said things that have motivated Manny Pacquiao like never before. There’s something inside of Manny that no one can really see, but I can see it. There is as ROCKY said to PAULIE in the ROCKY BALBOA ” There’s still some stuff in the basement.” Manny Pacquiao is going to be dangerous. I can see Manny Pacquiao walking out with his smile, smiling and looking out at the crowd. He climbs the short stairs and weaves under the ropes and steps inside the ring to a thunderous applause. Car and earthquake alarms are set off. Manny’s standing ovation continues for 15 minutes. Timothy Bradley enters and no one sees him. Police try escorting him out, but realize he’s Manny’s opponent. Myself and the rest of the Manny Pacquiao fans have brought Manny Mania alive. My tickets have arrived, and my victory party is set to start three days out from the fight. Fasten your seat belts people, The champ is here. Manny is the best!

Floyd Mayweather’s legacy will be that of a good boxer that always played it safe and never had the courage to take on the best. Facts are facts, he avoided his biggest threats while they were in their prime. Kostya Tszyu, Mosely, Oscar, Williams and of course The legendary Fighter of the Decade (Floyd was in this decade) Manny Pacquiao. He criticized catch weight fights, and turned around and did the exact same thing with a young, inexperienced Canelo Alvarez. He made excuse after excuse for not wanting to fight The greatest fighter of all time, Manny Pacquiao. He accused Manny of using Peds, was sued and apologized and since has been running away even faster. Floyd Mayweather has to be given credit for making money. He gets those good PPV numbers by riding on his opponents fan base. He needs them to sell because he can’t sell by himself. Hatton, Oscar, Canelo, Cotto all sold those fights. Floyd Mayweather must also be given credit for having one of the longest criminal records of any boxer or human being. He has disgraced himself by being a champion and doing the things he did. Mayeather has a very tarnished unbeaten record. I watched without bias the first Castillo fight, which clearly should have been given to Castillo and the numbers prove it. Also when he fought an old Oscar, Oscar clearly earned a win, but the judges in Las Vegas did what they do best as they also did to Manny Pacquiao in his fight against Bradley. Now, as we look at Floyd Mayweather’s boxing skills and ability, I would classify him as I always have, a good athlete that is a good boxer, but he lacks a lot of things. His reflexes and speed are good, but technically, he’s a mess. He can’t fight inside, and when he does, he does not look comfortable at all. Cotto proved that and busted him up. All Floyd does is counter. Floyd wins on his athleticism, not his technique like true boxing greats like Robinson, Duran, Ray Leonard, Chavez Sr, Benitez, Hearns, Hagler, Sanchez, Pacquiao. These greats fighters would fight you inside or outside. They challenged the best. They were complete fighters. Floyd’s best fight was against Corrales, but that’s it. There are absolutely no fights that stand out. No one remembers any of them. You remember, Leonard vs Duran, Ali vs Frazier, Chavez vs Taylor, Hagler vs Hearns, Tyson vs Holyfield. We forget Floyd once his boring hit and run fights are over. Floyd Mayweather belongs in the top 50 best fighters of all time. I would, without bias and taking in the quality of opposition as well as a fighter’s activity or inactivity classify Floyd behind the following fighters, but not necessarily in this order: 1.Holmes, 2.Ali, 3.Foreman, 4.Chavez, 5.Castillo, 6.Duran, 7.Arguello, 8.Armstrong, 9.Robinson, 10.Ray Leonard, 11.Benny Leonard, 12.Benitez, 13.Palomino, 14.Sanchez, 15.R. Lopez, 16.Oscar, 17.Whitaker, 18.Norris, 19.Hagler, 20.Monzon, 21.Fenech, 22.Azumah Nelson, 23.Manny Pacquiao (obviously), 24.Barrera, 25.Morales, 26.Jack Johnson, 27.Holyfield, 28.Bowe, 29.Bob Foster, 30.Kid Gavilan, 31.Taylor, 32.Hopkins, 33.Ruben Olivares, 34.Bobby Chacon, 35.Trinidad, 36.Cotto, 37.Saddler, 38.Pep, 39.Archie Moore, 40.Hearns,41.R. Jones, 42.Napoles, 43.Pryor, 44.Calzaghe, 45.GGG, 46.Rigondeaux, 47. Eder Jofre, 48. Emile Griffith, 49. Jimmy Wilde 50. Floyd Mayweather Jr. After taking in all the facts of each fighters strength, weaknesses, quality of opposition and other components, Floyd Mayweather ranks 50. Hope this helps.

I think ring size is going to play a big factor in this fight…..If Floyd gets Marcos going forward too fast watch out for that perfectly timed hook that got Ricky Fatton. A smaller ring may very well result in Floyd looking for his mothpiece like Iron Mike in Japan. It all depends on how many square feet Floyd has to operate with.

Popkins you are an idiot, Mayweather will win every round. Maidana stands no chance! Zero! Ziltch! But Fraud certainly suckered you, just like his other fans. You’re so thick you eat soup with a fork.

Awesome. I wasn’t guna pay prime time £15 for this fight – glad it’s on Boxnation. Maidana is hard as nails, his stamina is excellent and he has a decent punch. He’s more relentless than Ortiz, Alvarez, Guerrero, JMM. His chances are slim, but he DOES hav a chance. A KO loss to Maidana for Floyd wud b far worse than the losses to JMM and Morales that Pac has. Maidana has zero pressure on him in this fight – he will giv it 100% that’s for sure.

Mayweather, the most vile self-centred scumbag in boxing.

now imt trying to figure out whos legacy is gonna hold up best with the recent paths both mayweather and paqiou are taking.i say mayweather will be more affected, adding collazo vs kahn and the winner may get him to the equation seems comidic.

i think i spoke to always praising mayweather bouts because theres almost always great undercards, this one will no be good.big names yes,but no competitive fights.and to top it off if kahn beats collazo he gets a shot at mayweather, what a way to earn it.
