Hidal-talk too much-go

zzzz zzzzzzz

Thank you …Hidalgo,by the way have you beaten up any more 14yr olds lately……20 fights and you won all but 19 of them……

Posted October 7, 2012 4:37 am

Wow, Rich. You’re a vindictive little twat.

Posted October 6, 2012 9:28 pm

NO,Hidalgo I said your knowledge was self proclaimed….But what you fail to grasp when you compare yourself with Dan Rafael and Max Kellerman and indulge in your fantasies…they are professionals, where you are merely an amateur …By the way I’d feel downright embarrassed if I had punched someone in the mouth 15 times and he was still conscious…..

Posted October 6, 2012 4:58 am

All rather amusing, but also tedious. So your a real killer diller, but I suspect all in your own mind and 20 amateur fights is quite impressive, but not unique…did you win any area championships or enter in any national competitions, or to up your game spar with any pros.Others disagree with your take on timing and so do I, especially when i think of fights like Barrera/Hamid and Cotto/Malignaggi….were both were a lot faster but lost….and you don’t win that by not timing…..Your ego filled funny little life story is pathetic…why….you try to make yourself a winner but alas you come across as a loser …jog on killer….

Posted October 6, 2012 4:16 am

Sorry. Typo. 20 amateur fights.

But other than that Rich, I think I’m as qualified as Dan Rafael, or Max Kellerman, or any other non-boxing boxing “expert” like them. I’ve been into boxing most of my life. I follow the sport well enough to know what I know. Even if you don’t like it.

But here’s a little proof for you straight from Nonito Donaire’s mouth: “When it comes it comes but the proper game plan will show my power which is what I was known for – lightning fast counters that were knocking people out because they never saw it coming.”

Like I said Rich, you need speed to counter speed. And boxers who are really quick–like Floyd Mayweather Jr., for example–they see the punches coming. THEY are they types of boxers who can time a speedy puncher because they have the speed themselves.

BTW Rich, remember, you’re the one who said I had “amazing knowledge.” But I agree with you.

Posted October 6, 2012 12:44 am

Oh, how did I manage to punch him in the mouth 15 times when he was so fast? I just kept swinging.

Posted October 5, 2012 11:59 pm

“besides posting on here have you any proof of this amazing knowledge….”

Yeah, about 40 amateur fights. But I don’t have any tangible proof. Nothing I can show you. And I’ve never fought professionallly, but I’ve faced plenty of speed and power. In and out of the ring. One time when I was 18, I had my ears boxed off by a Filipino kid that was four years younger than me. I couldn’t “time” him to save my soul. So I just kept punching him in the mouth. I won. BTW, this fight happened in my back yard when I was living in Hawaii. No gloves. No rules. He had a big chip on his shoulder which he dared me to knock off. Well, I finally knocked it off. But that little pr_ck could fight.

Jelly Wobble

He started acting like a right prune after maidana nailed him, he’s been making bad decisions out right. He under rated Garcia and well if he cant beat molina he’s done!

Posted October 5, 2012 8:50 pm

Cherry pick your opponents! From now on avoid young good punchers! Only fight old or pillow fisted opponents! Hype your fights by being arrogant and a son of a gone! Pretend you’re the best and have a strong chin! I’m pretty sure you can do that! That’s your new plan not new plan for defense coz you ain’t got one not unless you use head gear like in the amateur or the Olympics!

Posted October 5, 2012 6:11 pm

@Ernie. I don’t have to read minds. Making this kind of career change is serious business. Any time a potential multimillion dollar athlete makes a coaching change both sides want to get it right. They give it tons of thought. Everything is intensified for the initial fights. You just need to know the differences between Hunter’s approach and philosophies versus those of Roach—and you know the take away from each fight is going to be vastly different and more is learned each time out.

Posted October 5, 2012 5:53 pm

This kid Khan can fight, he just does not know how to get in survival mode when he gets hurt, #2, he needs to look out for incoming bombs, more movment and patience. He always tries to slug it out when he gets hurt, not good for the home team because when your hurt and trying to slug, you get caught with a fast ball then it’s fold like a lawnchair time. Khan, up your ring IQ and you should do better.

Posted October 5, 2012 5:11 pm

Hidalgo……If you don’t have speed yourself, you can’t “time” a boxer who has greater speed…Why not…and you don’t care what Danny Garcia or anyone else claims……Your supposedly self proclaimed boxing knowledge is making you more arrogant every time you comment on here…besides posting on here have you any proof of this amazing knowledge….

Posted October 5, 2012 4:39 pm

He’s got Al Qaeda written all over him. Dont trust the kid one bit. Over proud and deluded like most middle eastern people.

Posted October 5, 2012 4:23 pm

Its Me, Ernie

How he hell do you know Tark? You have NO CLUE whatsoever is going on in Khan’s mind.

Posted October 5, 2012 3:10 pm

Amir will learn nothing he should have learned years ago in this fight….This a joke fight and he is to much of a pro to have taken it….He should know by instinct, and knowledge what to do…..He ran to Freddy when he got tagged by Breddis, now he’s running to Hunter trying to shift the blame. Those two shots were great and would have dropped almost anyone and I’ve seen him take killer body shots and walk straight through them, but he doesn’t needs a bum fight like this to learn from….

Posted October 5, 2012 12:40 pm

Khan is not in a big hurry. Retooling your skills isn’t a one-fight deal. He wants to do it right so this is no tune-up. Molina has sound technical skills and it’s technical problems Hunter is trying to solve … Fighting Molina is not much different than fighting Kotelnik, Judah, or Malignaggi—who all have sharp boxing skills but can’t smash you through the canvas. But if Khan fought these guys again his approach and what he’d take away from those fights would be vastly different under Hunter’s direction.

Posted October 5, 2012 10:19 am

Did anyone else notice how Khan kept talking over Kell Brook on Ringside last night? I couldn’t work out if he was trying to establish a psychological edge or was just being an ignorant tw*t!! As for his new defense – I don’t think we’e going to see much of the kind vs Molina. If the guy is that much shorter than Khan then the best defense would be to keep him at arms length and move out of range whcih is what Khan does for defense already! I go back and forth on whether I like Khan or not. Right now I’m not too keen but he’s got some ability and would do better to keep his head both in and out of the ring!!

Its Me, Ernie

Hang in there Khan, I enjoy the highlight clips of you getting Knocked TFO.

Posted October 5, 2012 10:11 am

Let’s be real, folks. Khan won’t have a “new” defense, he’ll just have a better one. Hopefully. Hunter will teach Khan to maximize his boxing skills both offensively and defensively. Andre Ward has superb defensive skills. If there’s a fine boxer to emulate–at least in that respect–it’s Andre Ward.

Let’s remember, Amir Khan is a warrior from the word “go.” He loves to fight, he loves to mix it up. He loves the heat of the battle. But he let’s his shield down–or doesn’t use it at all (it’s a metaphor, folks)–then ends up getting speared through the heart, aka, KTFO.

Virgil Hunter will teach Amir to modulate his lust for battle in a way that will work to Khan’s advantage. Amir Khan does NOT have a glass chin. He’s proven that in a number of fights. But his defensive skills suck.

Hunter will have Amir fighting a very sound, technical fight against Molina. Amir will win too. As for Khan’s future after Molina, matchmaking is the key. Hunter will have to keep Khan–as a promoter himself–and his promotional team, and other promoters in check so that Hunter Khan move Khan along in the manner, and at the pace that he wants to move him.

I think Khan will be a champion again soon. The kid is an incredible boxer. I’d like to see him be able to back up his foolish mouth.

Posted October 5, 2012 9:06 am

Side note: I don’t care what Danny Garcia or anyone else claims–if you don’t have speed yourself, you can’t “time” a boxer who has greater speed. Garcia capitalized on Khan’s foolishness. Not his own timing.

Posted October 5, 2012 8:57 am

This is, of course, a safe fight for Khan but that is what he needs right now. Not every fight has to be life and death. Khan has fought dangerous fighters, and has won some and lost some. He needs this time to work on some things and everyone is entitled to a tune up fight once in a while.

KO Artist

new defence? is he gonna be the man in the iron mask? that could help I suppose.

Posted October 5, 2012 7:31 am

Phenyo Molefe

Good piece Michael. I do think you have given a fair assesment. However I still think Khan has got a lot of potential and do not doubt his abilities it is esay to forget that in the last 2-3 year he has given us bouts fit for fight of the year; however the reality is that his daring style will leave him vulnerable to getting hurt as we have clearly seen. However he is not a tomato can as others would happily believe. I see no issue in him fighting Molina, I might pay to see the bout but none every fighter bout is going to be legendary especially for one trying new approaches to his style.

Hahahahahah love those pics on khan articles hahahaha!!!

The Mad Scientist

Let them try to rebuild Khan again, why not..?? It makes a victory against him that much more significant, especially if an up and comer gets the call, now how funny would that be..

Posted October 5, 2012 4:33 am

i find it insulting that khans promoters found a piece of meat with the same name as a top jr.middle.shameless! you can bring einstein back from the dead to explain physics and cus d’matto and angieo dundie to explain boxing to mr.khan and he still gets sleepy when tickled on the chin…..goodnight.

Posted October 5, 2012 4:05 am

Pacquiao was stopped twice early in his career—by guys you never heard of.. One trainer told Pac he couldn’t take it in the body and wasn’t cut out to be a fighter. Lewis was stopped twice… Wladimir was stopped 3 times—and they said his career was over. Those guys are all ATG’s. To say Khan is cooked right now??? He’s a very ambitious kid so it’s too early to say. Everyone famous is held up to ridicule. The possibility of getting knocked out is an occupational hazard you accept every time you step into a boxing ring to compete …. But I like to see people overcme naysayers and have the last laugh, and Khan might do that.

Posted October 5, 2012 12:22 am

Khan needs to stay where he is so he atleast has the height and size advantage and start watching Wladimir Klitchkos fights, if he wants to start beating A level guys again he should start fighting like the china chinned fighter that he is.

Posted October 4, 2012 11:30 pm

Amir will do fine as long as they put him in with passive fighters.

Posted October 4, 2012 10:06 pm

Khan needs a new mouth guard and a decent masseur.

Posted October 4, 2012 8:05 pm

Any decent trainer worth his % will always beat Amir Khan!

Just work on timing and any decent fighter will find the shot.

Khan does not have the intelligence nor the chin to avoid trouble.

Posted October 4, 2012 6:11 pm

of course he can learn, if he practices new defensive techniques day in, day out, with proper focus eventually he will reprogram himself, it will just take time and its a wise move fighting someone not known for being a banger. I hope he does learn, if he could channel that blistering hand speed behind a sound defence then he could be a great fighter.

Posted October 4, 2012 5:27 pm

Khan is going to unveil his new defense? Fighters that have the experience that Khan has in the amateurs and pros can’t and won’t ever change. They are what they are, and it’s all instinctual by now. He may change for a minute or a round, but eventually he’s going to go back to what he knows. I’m sure the new trainer will make Khan feel good because it’s a fresh start with a new guy that he can’t blame just yet, but it time he will start blaming Mr. Hunter. If Khan wants to seriously unveil his new defense, he needs to stop by the nearest sports store and buy a football helmet to wear in the ring otherwise, we’ll all get to see him get his ass kicked and dropped again.

The Mad Scientist

We need those embarrasing pictures of A mere Con getting thrashed by Danny else is Swift suppose to get his praise or props when these writers only want to update us on Con’s status..

Posted October 4, 2012 4:39 pm

The Mad Scientist

A mere Con need to unveil and all around game not just a new defense..his offensive amateur style needs to go or that would just leave him open for a counter that will result into that chicken dance that entertains us all..hopefully Virgil Hunter can teach this kid to sit on his punches a bit more to try an earn Con some respect inside the ring cause guys will be aiming to shatter that glass chandelier of his..

Posted October 4, 2012 4:35 pm

LOL! You authors really like to post Khan’s most embarassingly funny pictures.

Posted October 4, 2012 4:17 pm

The best thing Virgil Hunter can do for Amir right now is get the little fecker to shut his mouth. I very much doubt that Amir realizes how hard it’s going to be to develop a better defence – I think even me cat knows its gunna take longer than 6 or 7 weeks.

Posted October 4, 2012 4:07 pm

I’m wiv TJ on this one spot on mate guy needs 2 be quiet n stay quiet!

Posted October 4, 2012 3:51 pm

LOL. LOOK at poor Roach’s face in the background. That’s what happens to your Fighter when your philosophy is that Offense is your BEST Defense. DUMB DUMB….That’s just a slick way of saying that I don’t know how to teach Defense SO I just focus on Offense.

Posted October 4, 2012 3:39 pm

new shoes?

Posted October 4, 2012 3:31 pm

al second that.

Posted October 4, 2012 3:14 pm

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A LOSS MAKES! Good to see Amir flapping his gums again about how he handled Special K , Kel Brook in the amateurs and how he will knock him out in the pros….
This is the same Amir who less than 6 months ago pretended he didn’t even know who Kel was, saying Kel wasn’t on his radar, wasn’t in his league and would be an easy fight!
Now, he’s talking him up and flapping his gums like a Chav chewing gum!!!!
He even added on Ringside TV on Sky Sports tonight that when he weighs close to 148-152 pounds he knocks out his sparring partners – alluding to the supposed British and European Super Welterweight and Middleweight challengers and champions he was knocking over in sparring!!!!
If it wasn’t so tragic, Amir would make a great stand up comedian…. This kid actually believes his own hype and B.S. he spouts out his mouth….
he guaranteed he’d knock Kel Brook out – where’ve we heard that before and talked about himself in the third person yet again….

He makes for great TV , but a very deluded and poor all-round fighter!!!

Posted October 4, 2012 2:50 pm

Smiling, Khan said, “I’m going to work on a new defense. My opponents will be smaller, shorter, weaker, and not capable of throwing a knockout punch. If only I could find uglier opponents too!”

Posted October 4, 2012 2:39 pm

Is he going to KMart to buy his new defense, Hunter will not be able to change him in eight weeks, assuming that he doesn’t start complaining he is not being given enough time.

Posted October 4, 2012 2:37 pm

Love that pic. When i hear Khans name that is what I picture.

Posted October 4, 2012 2:19 pm

Haha, I’m going to start saving the ESB Khan pics they’re hilarious!

Posted October 4, 2012 2:10 pm

Of course against a non puncher…….try it on someone who knocked you the fk out. That will show if it is better. He is back to the punchers need not apply choice of opponent. How about the easy beating you claim you can put on BP? Although since Garcia was a non puncher and still did it…..and who knows if BP is even a puncher at all? Maybe the guy just can’t get hit….. by anyone with the slightest pop.
