GGG would KO Kirkland with ease. So would Canelo and so would Cotto. Ortiz would be interesting, though. I’m not sure if Keith Thurman and Kirkland can meet in weight, but that would be a war – with Thurman on top of course.

Kirland’s big win does suggest he’s back. Now they’ve got a fight scheduled for Dec. 20. It’ll be fun if he keeps it up. Years ago because he got incarcerated he was one of boxing’s most entertaining fighters.

victor Ortiz wouldn’t last a round and say a young guy like him doesn’t need the punishment

Posted December 10, 2013 2:52 pm

And I’ve constantly repeated GGG will fail the test. History proves once Kirkland makes it out of the 1st he’s unbeatable. But it will be fun.

kirkland VS Victor Ortiz would be one HELL of a fight!!

Posted December 10, 2013 2:09 pm

They did offer the Canelo fight to Kirkland and he agreed to fight only to back out of it. I would like to see Kirkland against GGG because I think it would be a good scrap. I think GGG wins but I think it will be fun while it last. And if Kirkland can make it out of the first round, I think he makes a good account of himself. And it would test GGG

So I suppose they figure that james can’t box, if he had good defense and could box with the stamina he shows that would be a good asset. I suppose maybe for kirkland body type brawling just works better for him? Nothing wrong with being in shape but the first good boxer he runs into he will lose. Martinez would box his ears off and Ko him. Mayweather would dance circles around him all night. I think Canelo would hurt him bad to possibly. GGG, lol, well kirkland would be KO. I think Cotto would be good. I have a feeling a washed up mosley may ko kirkland. The list of fighters that would beat kirkland is plentiful, ishida had some boxing skills and thats why kirkland could hit him and did a faceplant 3 times into the canvas. Tapia went crazy he wastes to much energy, ishida didn’t throw any less punches that tapia but he wasn’t gassed at all so tapia has a whole lot of work to do to be world class or close to it. Give kirkland a top fighter he can be green fighters and C level competition he deserves a step up fight.

Posted December 10, 2013 11:13 am

Kirklands a battering ram, boxing always has and always will have a place for guys like him that love slugfests… If we had to wait for technical guys on the order of Ward, Mayweather, And Rigo to come along the sport would be starved for fighters.(they are rare breeds) James is what he is..

Kirkland did train hard for the fight and keep comming so he deserves a bigger fight, so hopefully something will get set up.

Vinny pazienza did have a case of roid rage, seemed to get angry in the ring. Vinny used to punch himself in the face during fights with both hands to get siked up.

lol, I don’t want to see Kirkland/GGG even though I don’t like Kirkland much. That would be a masicurre. Kirkland would miss the majority of his punches and GGG would land the majority of his. If it ever happens I predict pain for Kirkland.

Posted December 9, 2013 10:24 pm

After that fight, Kirkland should have called out Mayweather! Why not start calling out the best? Kirkland has been calling out Alvarez for years and they have avoided him. If Alvarez can can go down to 152 and fight Mayweather, why not give Kirkland a shot? Kirkland, when he is with Anne Wolf always comes to fight! I mean come on Baldamir,Guererro,Alvarez,Victor Ortiz, Amir Khan(when it happens next year). Give the fans a treat and let him fight Mayweather. And don’t give me that”nobody knows who Kirland is” Nobody knew who Guerrero,Baldamir or Victor Ortiz were either.

A guy like Kirkland who comes to fight win or lose should be fighting for titles. That guy has been away for 2 years and walked through Tapia like he was a grade school kid.

Please don’t talk about Kirkland being world class, he’s not, and never will be.I’ve seen reports that he might fight Cotto or Canelo, if he does, he will never get to the third round of either fight, is he entertaining to watch? yes, but, he takes everything that’s thrown at him, he will not beat any class fighter who can punch. This is my opinion for what it’s worth.

Posted December 9, 2013 9:00 pm

Kirkland may not be talented, but he is entertaining and can punch. I like my elite fighters, but the Kirklands make boxing fun.

You guys are dreaming. No way was Tapia going to beat Kirkland once he survived the first. History proves Kirkland is unbeatable beyond the opening round. Gook got lucky, that’s all

Posted December 9, 2013 5:26 pm

Tapia also appears to have a touch of Omar Sheikaitis. Very good when he is throwing punches, but as soon as he stops offense, he does not know what to do.

Posted December 9, 2013 5:07 pm

I think the opposite. I think Tapia should have taken a more measured approach and used his jab to set up his right hand and box a little more. Tapia seemed gassed. I think he set a pace that he himself could not sustain and could not defend himself as Kirkland weathered the storm.

Posted December 9, 2013 5:05 pm

Tapia could’ve easily won this bout had he stuck to what he was doing in the first 2 minutes of the fight…he had Kirland hurt, had him busted up within 30 seconds, a mouse started forming and Kirkland looked shell shocked, but then, Tapia decided to make it a dog fight…and well, yeah, bad idea.

Stiff legs and being KOd are 2 different things. Kirkland is still a hard puncher when his legs are wobbled. But like I said GGG wins, it would just be a fun fight to watch

Posted December 9, 2013 4:41 pm

Kirkland beats GGG at 154 or 160 if he gets out of the first round. History proves it.

Posted December 9, 2013 4:37 pm

Jim Rich

Tapia rocked Kirkland even in round 5 Kirkland legs went stiff, Tapia was just so winded somehow he could follow up. I think tapia had the case of ring nerves with a big fight. I mean tapia had nothing in the gas tank after round 1 it was patheic. Tapia just didn’t know how to relax. Vinny pazienza vs Dana Rosenblatt he hit on the break after pazienza was knocked down with a jab, ref fail here, then the same pathetic ref was trying to stop it an he wouldn’t stop punching the other guy and he knocked the ref down too but he wasn’t disqulified, pathetic. Dana avenged the loss a few years later which was sweet. Also mike tyson vs Lou Savarese, tyson kept punching like a mad man when the ref tryed stop the fight, what a circus and he wasn’t disqualified. Refs need start disqualifing guys for taking cheap shots at fighters after they are out on there feet. Like someone already said the ref stepped in and tapia relaxed his defense totally helpless kirkland tees up one last shot, that was uncalled for. The ref could have dq him for that, ref could have been more forcefull jumping in there is prob why ref didn’t dq him.

Posted December 9, 2013 4:26 pm

I never said he would win. I just said it would be fun to watch if Kirkland was able to get out of the first round. Kirkland seems to get hurt early and if you don’t stop him or the ref doesn’t stop it then he seems to be able to take the punches as the rounds go on. So I am thinking he may be able to put more pressure and at least land something on GGG. Ive said it numerous times nobody beats GGG at 160. He is a beast.

Posted December 9, 2013 4:09 pm

ggg will take Kirkland’s balls then heart then have wolf throwing in the towel and have her taking etiquette classes and staying home to cook.

Posted December 9, 2013 2:27 pm

Kirkland is fun to watch. He comes forward punching, without a thought for defence. He either knocks the other man out or he gets knocked out himself. I love to watch him, but I don’t expect he will go all the way with top men in the class. Still, I’d rather see Kirkland against Lara than Trout against Lara. Nothing against Trout, but I’d rather see a brawl than a chess match.

Posted December 9, 2013 2:17 pm

GGG will make sushi out of Kirkland.

Kirkland is a limited fighter and will be stopped by any topnotch athlete.

Posted December 9, 2013 2:02 pm

Kirkland is garbage. Walking through a B- Class Fighter like Tapia doesn’t put him in the mix for anything. He has zero skill and just plods forward. I don’t care who he is with, any half decent fighter chips this guy up.

People actually think he can beat GGG????? Give me a freakin’ break.

Posted December 9, 2013 12:58 pm

That last shot by Kirkland has changed my opinion of him. The ref had already stepped in to call a halt. Tapia relaxed and dropped his hands. Kirkland saw this and hit him with a sucker punch. Kirlkland is a piece of sh_t. I hope the same happens to him.

Kirkland seemed like he had problems throwing his left. I don’t think he has much of a future if he can’t throw his left hard. The hardest left he threw was the one after the fight was over. Tapia came out too fast and tried to set a pace that he could not keep up with. He was gassed when Kirkland did not go down in the first two rounds and could not defend himself. Get a thinking corner and he can beat Kirkland. Tapia has to figure out a way to roll with punches or avoid them better.

Posted December 9, 2013 2:55 am

After the referee stopped the fight Kirkland landed a huge punch late. A good referee should have disqualified him right on the spot! I am hoping that Golovkin will get to fight Kirkland, Golovkin would knock him out cold!!! As far as Alvarez, he would out box and knock Kirkland out. Even Chavez,Jr. would knock Kirkland out. Kirkland is wide open…………….

So how about James Mandigus warrior Kirkland against Miguel Cotto. Seems like a good matchup, lets see it.

Posted December 9, 2013 1:43 am

Tapia need a new corner. His trainer keep saying hold when in close, just one problem He did not know to to hold effectively. He appeared to have sufficient speed & ability to fight a moving around turning Kirkland constantly, who needs to have his feet planted firmly for power. Hope Tapia is not finished by the terrible beating he took.

Posted December 9, 2013 1:42 am

Going based on kayo percentage Tapia’s 12 kos in 20 fights isn’t that great but then again didn’t Ishida have like 7’kos in 30 something fights when he faced Kirkland and dumped him 3 times in 1 round. Tapia probably hits harder than his kayo percentage indicates but he REALLY needs to work on that defense, man he got hit so much he didn’t know where he was and that beating really took the pop off of his shots, especially all those body shots. Man the guy is really tough with a great chin but I just can’t see him ever being the same again after this.

Tapia and camp are idiots. Their plan was to ko Kirkland in 1 round. Lol tapia has no real power. And he fought kirk’s fight

Ya mama

Lol… goggle porter drop kirkland in sparing, after the nishida lost he was in la.
Where there both were in training for a fight. Kirkland and his old manager ask if they could spar askirland want to know where he stands. So they make arrangements for a sparing section as many round as he wants, porter has fought heavy weight before.
They come over and kirkland is acting tough and get TO porter
They both get sparing and they both go all out and it’s a bad fight.
Porter is taking kirland shots and returned it. Porter is eating Kirkland up and get his nose bleeding, after 4, round porter say he had enough it’s a work out, James will not let him go and want to go some more sayba few stupid thing and get porter to want to knock James out. They fight each other 4 more round and in the 8 round porter drop kirkland with a counter hard right. After 8 porter trainer say that enough sparing.. Great..

@knowledge..yea no doubt after the first minute of the first round it looked like Tapia was going to get the knockout shortly and he might have if he had kept that fast moving style going..whether it was Kirkland who took it away or Tapia just being too green or lacking the stamina to sustain it we’ll never know.

Kirkland vs Chavez Jr. Not really fair considering Kirkland is a small jr. Middle and Chavez a big Super Middle!!

Yeah before the 5th round they kept saying open your eyes, open your eyes, when the fight is so out of it he has to fight to open his eyes time to stop it. Tapia cornor would have whined about a quick stoppage but Tapia was out of it, time to save these guys from there cornors. The cornors are going to get some of these guys killed.

Kirkland took some monster shots & was damn near out on his feet in the first round. Tapia was as game as they come, although outclassed from the 2nd round on. His corner should have saved him from taking more unnecessary punishment after the 4th round. Regardless, fantastic fight from a fans point-of-view!

Posted December 8, 2013 10:23 pm

Meant to say if Gatti was as big as Tapia and landed one left hook on Kirkland we all know how that would have turned out

Posted December 8, 2013 10:20 pm

This fight was painful to watch for me much the same way that Kirkland – Angulo was for the last few rounds I kept saying to myself ” stop the fight..this guy is going to get killed” but I dont feel that Steve Smoger should recieve the lions share of the blame..that ultimately should go to Tapias corner along with the ringside fact.Smoger repeatedly brought the doc to the corner letting both know that Tapia was taking wayy to many flush headshots.

The doc should be ashamed..when he shined that light into Tapias eyes Tapia looked lost and drunk..fighting to open his eyes and look awake…really his corner should have thrown the towel long before Smoger had to finally step in..getting hit 70 times per round by Kirkland is a quick stwp to permanent brain damage.

As for the final blow of the wasnt Smogers fault that Kirkland threw it..Kirkland knew damn well the fight was being stopped and should be fined for the foul..hey if Tapia were cut from the same cloth as the Direll brothers he could have probably gotten a DQ for that shot!!

As a final note. .I don’t see how Tapia could be compared to Gatti simply on the punching power alone..Gatti could really crack..could you imagine what would happen to kirkland if a Gatti as b

Posted December 8, 2013 10:19 pm

Kirkland is back, a few less brain cells but he won. Kirkland’s legs were stiffen in that fight at least 5 or 6 times not unusual for him, not exactly best way to win a fight, face first.

Posted December 8, 2013 8:19 pm

Kirkland is a phone-booth fighter. A throwback. A fighter who’s game plan is to hit you harder than you hit him — to be the last man standing. Note I didn’t call him a boxer, because anyone who is able to sustain a boxing match with him will win. Kirkland is just too hittable. And at this rate of punishment he’s taking, if he lasts more than another couple years I’ll be shocked.

Some food for thought.

Beavers that have attacked at least two dogs — one fatally — in a Red Deer, Alta., park will be trapped and killed.

The attacks happened last week when the dogs swam after the beavers at Three Mile Bend, an off-leash park in the central Alberta city, said parks superintendent Trevor Poth.

One dog reportedly died from blood loss. A handful of other beaver run-ins have also been reported but not confirmed, said Poth.

Heather Markiw said that one of her 10-month-old shepherd-cross dogs needed stitches after a scuffle with a beaver on an island in a park pond last week.

Poth said this is the first time there have been any problems with aggressive wildlife in the park’s 20-year history. About six to 12 beavers live at Three Mile Bend, he said.

Because of the gravity of the incidents, the beavers will be trapped and killed, Poth said on Wednesday.

Beavers are not usually aggressive unless threatened by other animals, he added.

”I had a friend had a big huge Newfoundlander about the same situation, any ways to make a long story short, the beaver got the dog with its big teeth and actually dragged him under and killed the dog ,the guy thought it was all a game they were playing until the beaver grabbed the dog, and there was nothing he could do except watch in horror wasnt there to see it but he came over not long after, and was really shook up about the whole ordeal, he was very fond of his dog”

”I have seen beavers over 45 lbs and am sure a beaver that size could pull a 75 lb dog under. Think how much better swimmers they are and how long they can hold there breath under water. They have lots of practice.”

”Almost lost my Springer Spaniel to a beaver years ago. If the water wasn,t shallow and I wasn,t able to help my dog, the beaver would have killed my dog easily.”

”My buddies Malamut got chewed up by a beaver in 2 feet of water, it got ahold of her butt & around they went until buddy started in after them. She didn’t want to play with beavers any more. ”

”Hey a beaver doesn’t have to get the dog into the water to do damage years ago in springtime we caught a young of the year beaver kit and my buddy brought it to his house to show the kids It was tiny, the size of a small cat He put it on the ground to show his kids and it was calm. Then his three dogs came around the corner of house, saw the beaver and all charged in at it They were mid sized dogs, 30-40 pounds. Well that beaver turned them all into lasaugna in about two seconds The vet bills for the stitch jobs was in the hundreds of dollars and the beaver didn’t have a scratch on it”

”When I was a kid had a friend lose his dog to a beaver. The dog was a big cross of some sort. It was big enough that if we took it for a walk on a leash you prayed it didn’t see something it wanted to chase. If it did you (as an 80 lb kid) were either going to chase the dog across the county or get dragged across the county behind it.

Wasn’t there, but my childhood friend said the dog found a beaver in a shallow pond one day. Dog decided to go after the beaver. The dog wound up getting a few nasty bites it never recovered from.”

This is just a small selection I found.

No problem Stark. I had no idea what a wolf was up until a few days ago and I just thought share my new discovery on here with those of you who didn’t too.

A word of advice regarding the training of your pet dog. Firstly, is your domicile located near or within beaver domain? If so. Actually, sod that even if it isn’t it’s worth heeding this advice (and that applies to all dog owners out there). I’m no doubt sure you’re aware of the spate of beaver attacks on humans in Belarus recently, one of which sadly resulted in the tragic death of a 60 year old man? But I’m guessing you probably aren’t aware of the dangers beavers pose to your pet dog too. Now don’t get me wrong, beavers are gentle and timid creatures and acts of aggression against man or beast are extremely rare. Truth be told they are far more fearful of us than we are of them. Rightly so IMO. However, they can be very territorial, especially when protecting their young or in mating season, and in very rare instances they will attack if they feel threatened if you encroach into beaver domain. They might look cute and cuddly but make no mistake about it they can be extremely handy when they want to and they possess razor sharp teeth that they can inflict serious damage with in an instant. This is why, as my fellow enlightened colleagues on here will endorse, I’m such a staunch advocate of promoting beaver awareness wherever and whenever I can and why I think it’s absolutely imperative that everyone has a basic grasp of this before they dare to venture into beaver domain. Especially for those taking their beloved pet pooches into beaver domain.

As I said earlier, beavers are beautiful creatures and are not typically aggressive at all. But it’s just damn foolhardy to allow your dogs off the leash in beaver domain, and most certainly when near rivers that are populated with beaver species. A dog is viable liable to chase a beaver if it sees one scurrying about and it’s only natural that the beaver will defend itself from this threat. Beavers are handy enough on land and their razor sharp gnashers can sever arteries very easily indeed and leave your do looking like a bag of furry mince in a matter of seconds. But by no means must you let your dog enter into the water because they will drag them under and drowned them in the blink of an eye and there’s very little you or your dog will be able to do about it. Don’t believe me?

Kirkland for all his flaws is must-see TV. He delivered another epic beatdown of a hyped prospect last night and I hope he stays out of trouble and is back in the ring again real soon. Who do you guys think they could match him up with next, given that GBP seems to be out of the question (since he left them for 50c)? Demetrius Andrade? One of the Charlo brothers?

Im pretty sure iv read this exsact article b4? Same headline and everyvthing?

That’s no “Fight Of The Year” candidate; that’s the “Beat Down Of The Year” candidate. Fight of the year is equal participation by both opponent, not a one-sided beat down!

B Red, “The way Kirkland fights, he could get killed in the ring. Anne Wolfe must have no concept of defence.” Nope and that’s exactly what many (maybe most) fans here like to see. No concept of defense, and rock em sock em action…

Good stuff Gonzo! Hahaa I’m trying to train my dogs so that background info is interesting.

Kirkland can punch, but his outside of the ring mental makeup, is too fragile for me to ever pick him win against anyone half way decent. He’s 29, and times passing him by.

That indeed is the truth, about staying out of jail that is.

Posted December 8, 2013 4:11 pm

Liver Shot

Kirkland looked great last night against …………………….who was that last night some nobody named Tapia. Of course he looked good. Not sure how he will do vs the upper level of the division. That is if he can stay out of jail long enough to get one of those fights.

If Lara didn’t get Kirkland out in the first round, I think Kirkland KOs Lara

Posted December 8, 2013 3:46 pm

I see Good

Kirkland KING of the B fighters. Lara CANELO GGG would DESTROY KIRKLAND. Yes Kirkland is TOUGH, but has NO SKILLS. Kirkland will NOT go far in the RANKS. Hes limited in SKILLS.

The way Kirkland tees off on him at the end of the video is almost as disturbing too. Love to see a big hitting heavyweight tee off on that ugly whore Wolfe like that.

Posted December 8, 2013 3:01 pm

Well Kirkland said most quit, that why she doesn’t have anyone. I guess her style of training is to put you in situations that are tougher than any boxing match that you would ever have. Show you how to come through it so that you will be ready for anything that will happen in a fight.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:59 pm

big head

most fighters proably dont wont to work with anne wolf cause they know she going to work them like how she be working kirkland some fighters aint ready for that type of training that she have and i dont think kirkland to hit tapia that way i just think it was the heat of the moment type of thing and kirkland was in the zone and he got carry away if steve smoger stop it sooner maybe that wouldn had happen that way

Posted December 8, 2013 2:58 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

Yes it really is. What makes it even more disturbing is there are little kids in there too.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:55 pm

Gonzo, watched the video. That’s vile. If Roach or Garcia did that kind of stuff, everyone in boxing would be up in arms against them.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:50 pm

Tapia was too green for this fight. He just stood right in front of Kirkland, letting him just drop bombs. Molina should have beat him because he had angles and made Kirkland look stupid. Still, the way the division is now, Kirkland could get a title easy. Ishe is probably never going to get paired with Kirkland, nor will a rematch with Molina, so there’s no one really who could stop him easy that they’ll stick him in with. Even Canelo could get stopped by Kirkland given how slow he is. A slickster will ruin him while Wolfe is in his corner. Still, like Kellerman said though, “Without Ann Wolfe, anyone can beat him.” Kirkland clearly knows this, which is why he keeps running back to her. Just surprised Wolfe doesn’t have anyone else of note in her stable. She seems like a pretty capable trainer, even without “Pops” her old trainer at her side.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:48 pm

What a fight! Tapia pounded Kirkland good in the first round. Kirkland’s chin heart and power are amazing. Good fight!

Posted December 8, 2013 2:47 pm

Kirkland better make some big fights fast, because a guy with his fighting style wont be in boxing very long.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:43 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

James Kirkland and Ann Wolfe are vermin. I assure you I won’t be shedding any tears if either of them winds up getting seriously hurt or banged up for life. Tapia is a young kid with his whole career ahead of him, Kirkland knew better than all of us how much of a beating he’d taken but yet he still felt compelled to try and sneak in a murderous shot after that roly-poly cop looking corrupt cnut Smoger belatedly jumped in. I guess Kirkland must’ve missed the memo about all the ring tragedies we’ve had recently. He could’ve killed Tapia never mind almost ruined his career before it’s even started.

Watch this video of Kirkland sparring. His sparring partner has already taken a serious amount of punishment and is clearly hurt and in distress. Kirkland, egged on by that ugly lesbian horse-faced man-beast whore Wolfe sucker punches him with two huge shots after he sticks out his hand to touch gloves. Glass jawed f@g got knocked cold in a round by a Chinese fisherman with AIDS. lol

From 1:40 onwards

canelo will proably beat kirkland cause he smarter and better skilled fighter canelo aint no tapia but canelo dont throw alot of punches he fight in spurts and canelo do got some stamina problems if kirkland can stand up to canelo punches which idk if he can but if he could it could be a interesting fight cause i think it be tough for canelo to deal with kirkland pace

Posted December 8, 2013 2:39 pm

Tomato Can

Agreed, Smoger did a poor job of stopping the fight. Tapia took major damage..

Posted December 8, 2013 2:35 pm

Kirkland will be AVOIDED!! Tapia’s CAREER is OVER just like Angulo’s!!

Hidalgo, you’re right. Smogger is a complete fool. I never have liked him as a referee, and last night, as you said, he just about got Tapia killed by not stepping in fast enough.

Posted December 8, 2013 2:06 pm

The Truth

The last punch from Kirkland was not necessary . fighters in both boxing and MMA should be penalized for throwing a punch that is not necessary any more . Kirkland knew the referee was stopping the fight yet he still threw a punch when Tapia’s hands were down .

Posted December 8, 2013 1:49 pm

big head

if kirkland wouldn of had his hands down and move his head he proably wouldn got hurt like that but kirkland just walk in wit his hands down not respecting tapia power i give kirkland credit for standing up to tapia punches tho most fighters would of went down or got knocked out if they got hit with the same shots kirkland did and tapia threw some good body shots to kirkland just a tough dude once he in the zone it hard to get him off of you im sure tapia was surpprised kirkland took those shots and didn go down cause usually kirkland gets knockdown alot in fights but hopefully tapia can come back from this tho he just didn have the stamina to compete with kirkland or experience

Posted December 8, 2013 1:27 pm

Idiot Ref Smoger nearly got Tapia killed.

Posted December 8, 2013 1:16 pm

This was a good fight to watch, but Tapia didn’t have the experience to beat Kirkland, and he had plenty of chances to put him away. Kirkland is a very limited fighter that isn’t going to go very far. The Anne Wolfe story is nice, but the reality is that Tapia had him hurt plenty of times and could have ended it easily if he had the experience. Kirkland is the same guy that is mentally and physically tough, but he would get pulverized by any top jr. middleweight. Canelo, Trout, Lara all would wipe him out, but good for Kirkland, he is always entertaining to watch. Tapia should not give up, he has some talent and could go places if he doesn’t get discouraged.

The one thing that I have noticed about Kirkland for the exception of the Ishida fight is that when he gets hurt, if you don’t get him out of there at that time he starts to get used to your punches and then is able to take them.

Posted December 8, 2013 12:53 pm

I will never wage a bet against Kirkland as long as Wolfe is working his corner. And I think that Kirkland beats GGG,Alvarez or Cotto.GGG fights like a mechanical robot and not like a human being.I actually fell asleep watching GGG fight Rosado, he was too mechanical and robotic.Kirkland has great stamina and like Marciano he fights at a frenzied ,violent and destructive pace of non-stop pressure. He will beat into submission the boring ,mechanical robot also known as GGG.

It was a very good fight and I am glad that Kirkland is back with wolf, the 23 year old came on strong in the beginning but Kirkland just took the shots and kept moving forward. The last punch that Kirkland threw you could not prevent it was going to happen sooner or later….glad Smoger was there to help him.

Posted December 8, 2013 12:40 pm

I will watch the fight when I get home today. But from what I have read it was a beating that had occurred. Like I said before this was a huge jump in class for Tapia. He hasn’t even fought B level fighters yet. Kirkland seems to be back on the map. Wouldn’t mind seeing him and GGG. Though I don’t think Kirkland would make it out of the first. But if he did, he would have a good chance of landing something nasty.

Posted December 8, 2013 11:53 am

Tomato Can Stan

Kirkland should not of thrown that last left. It was unnecessary and may of done serious damage to Tapia’s health and career. If Smoger wasn’t holding him up Tapia would of crumpled to the canvas. There is animalistic savagery in Kirkland

Boxing could do with some more kirklands. After watching trout and laras bore fest except knick down of course. Shame Kirkland was not a few pounds heavier middle weight. Has some exciting fights
