Manny Pacquiao will not be defeated by Mayweather or the IRS or the BIR. Manny is a man of God and will rise above all the attempted assassination attacks on his character and his boxing skills. Manny Pacquiao may have fallen at one time, but has now risen and is on a mission to cement his legacy as a great man, husband and boxer. Any other person would have given up as the attacks continued, but not Manny. He is the man that is looked up to by millions. The man that has come back from a loss in the ring and then gave the most technically sound boxing exhibition of all time in Macau China. Signs of a great warrior that turned the table on all those that doubted his ability to make adjustments in the ring. A classic display of defense, boxing, agility, athleticism and sharp shooting. Floyd Mayweather wants no part of arguably the greatest fighter of all time, and that is proven by Floyd running to fight Amir Khan. Amazing what fear can do to a man. Manny will be back in April. Let’s get ready.

When it gets down to the wire, Arum will probably have to build a new boxing arena in Dubai. You know, to accommodate all the spectators!

Peej, at least Rios can take a punch and is tough as nails. Khan can be dropped at any time. He has a name, but nothing else. Floyd is really milking everyone he can get to pay for this fight. Danny Garcia would have been a better fight as well as many other guys, but Khan? Bad choice.

Hecdog I find it funny that you say Floyd should be ashamed to step in with Khan but you praised Pac for stepping in with Rios. That is very funny

Posted December 5, 2013 5:15 pm

Hec Dog

Floyd Mayweather should be ashamed to ever step into a boxing ring again if the rumor is true that he ha signed to fight Amir Khan. Floyd is laughing his way to the bank over and over. The man is either the greediest man on earth or he’s extremely fearful to even take a chance on losing his flawed, and I mean flawed unbeaten record. His own boxing peers criticize him. Floyd is making a fool of all those that are willing to pay a dime to see this farce of a fight. Amir Khan seem to be a nice guy that has a real false sense of how good he really is. We all know his chin will always fail him. Maidana had him all but out, Peterson cracked him as well as Danny Garcia. Khan is an over hyped good amateur boxer that belongs in the amateurs. He has done nothing to deserve this fight. The ONLY reason this fight is happening is because Khan has a lot of fan that also have a false sense of how good Khan is. And I guess if your a die hard fan, you will always look at things more emotionally rather than rationally, but the truth is Floyd is showing his true colors. He’ s not interested in being the best. He’s only interested in what he always says, Money, Money, Money. He will continue to tarnish his reputation and his legacy as a boxer. Regardless of what he says, his courage and heart of a true boxing champion will always be questioned by true boxing fans. Floyd has a lot of talent, but he’snot willing to take risks. And because of this, Floyd will not stand next to great, honorable combatants like Duran, Robinson, Armstrong, Holmes, Ali, Pacquiao, Sanchez, Chavez and many other greats. These guys fought, and never avoided their toughest challengers that the fans wanted. They took chances and didn’t always win, but a champion takes the risk of losing rather then not taking a risk at all. The asterisk will always be there. Floyd Mayweather never took the risk. Even his most loyal fans have to be questioning Khan as an opponent. Other than riding others fan base for money, what’the point of this fight?

Posted December 5, 2013 2:37 pm

Hidalgo- seriously, Rios face doesn’t show a beating? Rios can tolerate pain but I will not agree with you that he wasn’t hurting. That Rios just gain 10 pounds after the fight because of his big swollen face.

Posted December 5, 2013 2:33 pm

Hidalgo, he may have not had Canelo hurt but he had Guerrero hurt and looked like he was about to fold in the 9th round I believe. Almost had Cotto out of there in the last round, he was wobbling, Mosley was taking a lot of punishment, he knocked down Marquez, and he hit Oscar at one point and made Oscar grab the ropes. lol.

Posted December 5, 2013 1:38 pm

You can break down any fighters record. Any fighter. So what you did was just a waste of time. Corrales was in his prime, Castillo was in his prime, Hatton was in his prime, Canelo was and is still in his prime. Your list is bogus.

Posted December 5, 2013 1:36 pm

17 Years at the Top but I Never Fought a Great Fighter who was in Their Prime

Some of them were past their best but they were still very good. How many loses had they incurred? And Oscar was a semi-retired part-time fighter coke addict when he fought Floyd and Pac-Man. Floyd would’ve never dared get in there with fighters of that calibre when he was in his prime never mind when he was a complete shell of himself.

Look at all the shot old men Floyd fought, and remember he never fought great fighter who were in the prime like Oscar did time and time again to tip balance it out..

Hernandez – Oscar’s leftovers, he never fought again after losing to Floyd
Gatti was shot, the very definition of battleworn. Floyd timed his cherrypick to perfection.
Sharmba Mitchell was completely shot, Tsyzu’s leftovers.
Judah, more Tszyu’s leftovers
Oscar De La Hoya – shot, semi-retired part-timer coke addict had only fought once in nearly 3 years and should’ve been 1-3 in his last 4 fights
Mosley was finished and nothing without his PEDs, which he was for Floyd.
Cotto was finished as well.

Floyd would never have dared fight the Pac-man, the Hopkins, the Quartey, the Trinidad, the Mosley x2, the Vargas that Oscar fought and everyone knows he wouldn’t. History has proven this resoundingly.

He’s had 17 years to prove otherwise but he ALWAYS took the path of least resistance because he’s a cherrypicking coward fraud. He’s more interested in fighting third-rated bums like Ortiz, Guerrero, Khan, shot once great toothless old men, and media creations like Canelo who never beat anyone worthwhile and got a girt decision against the only half decent fighter he did fight. it’s hardly a coincidence that none of his great rivals had a problem getting in there with prime fellow greats. They did it multiple times but the self-anointed greatest of all times couldn’t even do it once.

Posted December 5, 2013 1:13 pm

“Havoc – Manny couldn’t even hurt a living punching bag in Rios…he ain’t even gonna touch Floyd, that boy’s gonna box circles around Pac, similar to the way Marquez did it…but he’ll be bigger, stronger, faster, smarter and MUCH, MUCH sharper.”

Uh huh. Tell us again how much Mayweather “hurt” Alvarez Guerrero, or Cotto, Mosley, Marquez or DLH.

Titopa, you really don’t know much about Brandon Rios as a boxer. Floyd wouldn’t stop him. Guerrero certainly wouldnt. Neither would Alvarez, Mosley, Marquez or DLH. So WTF? Give it a rest.

“I did not think Pacquiaos PPV would do soooooo poorly and there is NO spinning 500k and under as anything but POOR for Manny Pacquiao”

So F’n what!?!

Posted December 5, 2013 11:44 am

If they fight, Pacquiao will snuff Guerrero like a used cigarette butt. Besides, why should Manny waste his time fighting Mayweather retreads? It would be a total waste of time for Pac to fight Guerrero.

If Bradley fights the Pac that fought Rios the other night, Bradley is in for a clear loss. No two ways about it.

Pacquiao would have no problem with Lucas Matthysse.

Garcia vs Provodnikov would be a killer fight. I’d go with Danny though, likely by TKO over Prov.

Posted December 5, 2013 11:41 am

Manny Pacman vs R.Guerrero at 147 this is what Roger wants.
Mayweather jr vs Tim Bradley at 147 because Bradley deserve a shot, he beat Manny and Khan vs Matthysse at 140 to prove khan is ready,Khan avoid Devon and Bradley beat Devon. So why but Khan vs Mayweather jr and Khan hasn’t beat a top 15 fighter at all, so sayin that Khan beat Matthysse then Devon and then a shot at Floyd jr would be made.
Danny G. vs Ruslan at 140 fight of year writen all over it. Make these fight happen.

Posted December 5, 2013 11:21 am

IT WONT HAPPEN!!! End of the story…

Posted December 5, 2013 9:18 am

To be honest:
Chavez and Whittaker way past here prime, Campas too, Vargas an the road down, Camacho a shot B-Level fighter at best (at time of the fight) and like Gatti, Floyd and Pac terrible undersized.

Reads not soooooo good any more.
But with the pre Chavez time, Tito, Quartey and B-Hop still amazing.

Posted December 5, 2013 9:14 am

Khan is a joke. He doesn’t deserve a shot at Floyd and knows he will get beaten by Money Man. He doesn’t even care. He just wants a retirement pay day. He will quit the sport after collecting his Floyd money, it’s a disgrace that he’s even being lined up for the fight. If this fight happens it will be an insult to boxing fans. Khan is a b-level fighter, and he’s already been exposed. How crazy is boxing that this clown is getting a shot at the P4P king?

17 Years at the Top but I Never Fought a Great Fighter who was in Their Prime

Check out Oscar De La Hoya’s resume peeps. This illustrates what a cherrypicking cowardly fraud ducker con artist Floyd Mayweather is.

And don’t forget that a Oscar who was

completely shot
A coke addict
who’d only fought once in 3 in nearly three years, a measly six rounds.
had lost 3 of his previous 4 fights –including the Sturm robbery.
and ended up going 2-5 in his last 7 fights, Floyd being his fourth in that sequence, took Floyd right down to the wire and unquestionably would’ve knocked him out if he was even 50% of what he once was.

Jorge Paez 53-6-4
John John Molina 36-3-0
Rafael Ruelas 43-1-0
Genaro Hernadez 32-0-1
Jesse James Leija 30-1-2
Julio Cesar Chavez x 2 96-1-1 & 100-2-2
Miguel Angel Gonzalez 41-0-0
Pernell Whitaker 40-1-1
Hector Camacho 63-3-1
Wilfredo Rivera 27-2-1 who should’ve been 27-1-1 but for getting robbed against Whitaker
Ike Quartey 34-0-1
Oba Carr 48-2-1
Felix Trinidad 35-0-0
Shane Mosley 34-0-0 x 2 34-0-0 & 38-2-0
Arturo Gatti 33-4-0
Javier Castillejo 51-4-0
Fernando Vargas 22-1-0
Luis Ramon Campas 80-5-0
Felix Sturm 20-0-0

Ricardo Mayorga 27-5-1
Floyd Mayweather Jr 37-0-0
Manny Pacquiao 47-3-2

I did not think Pacquiaos PPV would do soooooo poorly and there is NO spinning 500k and under as anything but POOR for Manny Pacquiao, he did 1.1 mill against Marquez and FMJ did 2.2 mill against Canelo… Mannys ability to negotiate with Floyd just plummeted, truthfully Based on recent statements I don’t see this happening unless Pacquaio leaves Top Rank… I also don’t see PAC Man doing 1million buys unless it’s Marquez, he and Bradley have NO shot, they already did 700k for the robbery…

Posted December 5, 2013 6:29 am

Two piece- you are right about Floyd not rios or Marquez. Floyd relies on points with not much power with his punch. PAC lose to a power puncher Marquez by a lucky punch. Floyd is not and will not KO Pacman.

Titopa- circle around PAC or block all night. Pacman can move and punch a lot. If Floyd try to counter, PAC will punch back with speed. I think what really will happen is Floyd will be reduce to blocking. If he try to open up he will be surprice with punches he doesnt know where angle it’s coming from. Floyd can’t counter a fast punching Pacman.

Posted December 5, 2013 2:17 am

LMFAO It was Pactards who were bringing up taxes moron. Pactards said Pac will never fight in USA again because he’s a mega star in Asia. He doesn’t have to pay taxes there.

Truth is other Asians don’t like Pacquiao. He’s only a star in that 3rd world country he lives in.

Ok Bob I will tell Floyd you and Manny is ready to fight. And that HE needs to call you or Pac to make the fight. Lmao!!!!! News Flash Bob. If you think you got some leverage then you must be on the cracks pipe. 65 for Money 35 for Pack and Bob. That leaves Pac with about 15 to 20 percent after Bob bend him over. Or Pac could leave A rum and keep the whole 35 percent.

Pacquiao is the biggest draw in Boxing outside of Floyd… That’s just a fact.

Putting them together would pull shocking numbers… The final tally should blow everybody’s socks off. My favorite venue for the fight would be Beijing China because you might as well take advantage of the East vs West scenario this fight provides. This is a once in a century sporting event so it needs an international flavor … Everybody thinks the US rigs everything so the Beijing is the place to go. You want a vast worldwide audience.

The world tends to not pay as much attention to stuff coming out of America since the days Dubya Bush crapped all over the place. There’s still a sour mood over the economic collapse of 2008, and a fight like this needs a broad international footprint. China would jump on this fight with all guns blazing — just like they did the Olympics.

Posted December 4, 2013 6:12 pm

Arum is counting on Pactards to make the fight happen instead of coming to the table like a real man. He is using the scare tactic to try and discredit Floyd and have the public thinking he is scared. Floyd is too smart for that on the famous words of Jay-z men lie women lie numbers dont. The alvrez fight was the highest in boxing history money wise. And Kahn has a huge following overseas another record breaking payday. Mayweather feels as though he dont need Manny. And he is right. Arum thinks we are all stupid. Rios was ahandpicked bum see if Manny can K.O. Bradley first or Marquez.

Posted December 4, 2013 5:57 pm

PLEASE. Little floyd IS NOT going to fight Pacquiao. Trust me, it isn’t going to happen. Little floyd does not have the stones for such an event.

Posted December 4, 2013 5:55 pm

It’s all over twitter. Pac vs Rios did only 500,000 PPV buys.
No wonder this old c. u. n. t. Is trying to do a deal with Mayweather now.

Posted December 4, 2013 5:48 pm

Amir Kahn will generate 100+ mil. Hec Dog Floyd would be stupid not to take the fight as far as Manny he dont have a leg to stand on He lost his last two fights before Rios. Floyd only fights big opponets that will earn the most loot period. and Arum and Manny shot themselves in the foot long time ago. Arum talks more crap than a toliet. Why would floyd loose Money? Arum wants 50/50 no blood test and a catch weight. De la Hoya himself states he tried to make this fight happen and Arum derailed it. How can a man loose and still dictate the terms Hec you are a pactard. Floyd is a five time world champion that earns 100 mil + a fight. Manny ppv sales suck. and the only way Floyd will ever take the fight if the public generates interest like back in the days Manny needs to start Knoching out dudes like Alverez are have a huge Following like Kahn. Floyd feels like his legacy is already cemented so now he is fighting for the lost money he can get. And your Boy Manny just dont have the star power anymore People still remember him being coma tosed laid out by Marquez. He needs to redeem himself. Rios was a bum

Posted December 4, 2013 5:48 pm

You know Arum is BS-ing when he says “somebody has got to contact us so we can sit down and explore how it can happen” why does the group affiliated with the undefeated, wealthier, P4P fighter have to contact you??? If you wanted the fight to happen why dont you contact THEM????

Bob Arum is not the one holding the fight back. At least we hear from him about the situation. Have we heard one word from th Mayweather camp or manager or promoter or whoever it is (Haymon) that runs that camp because it’s obvious Floyd doesn’t run a thing. At least uncle Roger says he wants the fight. This situation continue to be obviou. Floyd Mayweather is scared to fight. Next week he’ll come out with some ridiculous opponent like Amir Khan. Laughable!

Posted December 4, 2013 5:26 pm

Fact is Arum is all talk. He says HBO has to be apart of the fight. That almost kills it there. Pac has no contract with HBO so there is no need for them to be in it. Once again Arumn is all talk. But Pac fans think his word is gold

Posted December 4, 2013 5:14 pm

Von Pugsly

I think at this point 60/40 Floyd would be fair, especially when you compare Floyd and Manny’s recent PPV numbers. Maybe Manny could leverage 45 since Floyd really has no one else legit to fight at the moment but this all beside the point. The real hangup isn’t the numbers, and it’s not a drug test, it’s the mutual disdain that Arum and Floyd have for each other, compounded by the mutual contempt shared by Arum and Richard Schaeffer. They need to bring back that mediator they used several years back and let him sort it out, otherwise there’s no way in the hell this fight ever happens.

Posted December 4, 2013 4:58 pm

He offered Mosley a fight with Pacquiao, Mosley said “hell yeah”, Arum said, “okay, but you must sign a ONE fight deal with me”….in other words, “okay, but I need to make money off you if you want that fat check”.

Posted December 4, 2013 4:55 pm

Pete Wells – 80/20 is a bit high, I wouldn’t blame Arum for not taking taking that…60/40 is more than fair and EVERYONE in the boxing world knows it, but Arum won’t accept anything less than 50/50, I don’t even think he’ll accept 55/45, let alone 60/40….which mean, this fight will NEVER happen. Arum would rather make Bradley vs Pacquiao II and pocket 20% of Pac’s purse and 20% of Bradley’s….he wants his hands in BOTH fighters pockets, that’s how he works.

Posted December 4, 2013 4:54 pm

Fan – 60/40 is fair, but he’s already scoffed at that….so, there is no deal and won’t ever be. Period. 10 years from now we’re gonna look back at the possibility of this fight happening and we’ll say “it was all a dream”.

Posted December 4, 2013 4:51 pm

Pete Wells

If I was Floyd the only way Pacroid gets this fight is a 80-20 split. If people think that beating Rios puts Pacroid in the drivers seat then let them pay his salary. Floyd didn’t lose two fights back to back. Nor was he KTFO, Floyd just put on a display of pure boxing over guys the media had hopes of beating him & Floyd made it look easy. So 80-20, take it or continue to bend over for Arum……..
