Phil Paolino is a standout trainer and will guide Gomez to another world title. B-Hop will never climb into a boxing ring against this guy, especially if he’s being trained by Phil. You can write that down in your day-book.

AHHH HA HA HA HA HA…..good one, Welliver is a step up for Wilder.

Lardo you must be insane. Welliver is far too dangerous for wilder. He needs at least 20 more fights before the likes of welliver

Bernard Hopkin vs. Juan Carlos Gomez at a catch weight between light heavyweight vs cruiserweight would be an great fight but most very likley will never happaen as there seems to be little to non interest in a fight between them. Personally I would love to see Bernard Hopkins fight James “Lights-Out” Toney at cruiserweight level to take one of the last great fighters left from his era to full fill that record BUT Toney is far away from the fighter he was in the 90’s and early 00 and I doubt Toney can get back in cruiserweight level weight again.

I hear that the LA base trainer Phil Paolina is training Gomez again. If anyone can get Juan to focus n have a chance of winning a title again it’s Phil. Phil got Audley Harrison to look the best he has ever looked and win last years Prizefighter. I’ve known Phil for years. Manny Stewart said phil is One of the best trainers out there. I see Gomez winning his way to a title shot. I hope he is smart and stays with Phil.

Juan Carlos Gomez is one strange looking dude. Look at the picture. Looks like he’s coming off a 2 week drunk.

Now, GOmez should call out Hopkins. Hopkins should step up rather than down to 160. Step up bud and fight this man who looks as mean as Liston. But, Vitali popped his ass in a title fight. Hop should try it.

Juan Carlos Gomez was a great cruiserweight fighter and cruiserweight world champion and have made some nice fights as a heavyweight as well BUT to compare himself with legend Bernard Hopkins and Vitali Klitschko is just not right. Why they can still fight on top level so late in their careers is becouse they have in there antire career worked very hard and staid in top condition and have had the best dicipline ever to keep there bodys in great fight shape. Gomez however have not done that in same way. Homez have used drugs, alcohol and not been on the track with the food diets and becouse of that he have went up and down in weight and fight conditions to a level of hard abuse. Gomez would always blow up between his fights and have to lose the weight. Juan Carlos Gomez was a gifted fighter with a sharp jab BUT his career as a top level boxer is most for sure over. He have not been diciplined enough for a long time now and even if he would manage to get back to cruiserweight level, I doubt he will have a decent chanse to become a recognised world cruiserweight champion again.

He talks at how Hopkins and Vitali can fight so late in their careers but what he forgot to mention is that they keep their body in shape and doesn’t abuse it. Gomez would always blow up between fights and have to lose the weight. Gomez career as a boxer is done. He should hang them up. He will never be a champion at cruiser.
