Larry Holmes was the most boring era in heavyweight history! You danced with him? How many knockouts you got? How many Larry got? Ha ha.

Posted October 4, 2013 10:42 pm

Timmy, you sucked and that boring ass era did too! American champions? How many countries were really involved in pro boxing back then? It wasn’t really WORLD champion back then! It was American Champion! Wow! Classic trainers and fighters!

WBA-appointed Klitschko-Povetkin judge is Ted Gimza. This judge pled guilty to a felony weapons charge on July 29. WBA is the one governing body that has Povetkin it’s “regular champion.” So watch this character’s scorecard. If it’s wonky you know he was bribed by the Russian mafia, which has a financial stake in Povetkin, according to published reports.

“Povetkin’s people will try to cheat. Vlad better watch his food, water, hotel vents, etc. Vitali will also be there to catch them cheating as he did Wach…” – Agree with Farmboxer. I would add judges/referee to the list of things to watch out for. The WBA assigned a judge who is a convicted criminal. That’s a red flag. There’s a reason Povetkin’s camp overbid to get the fight in Russia.

Alexander Povetkin have a chanse to defeat Wladimir klitschko? Sure he got a lucky punchers chanse like most top contenders have BUT nothing more then that. Povetkin have punchpower and an good chin but overall, Wladimir Klitschko is equal or much better on all other parts (accept the chin). I can’t see Povetkin defeat Klitschko becouse Wladimir is simpley the very best heavyweight in the world and have been the undisputed heavyweight world champion sence 2006 with 13 title defences so far and he is still in his prime days while Povetkin haven’t developed any new skills in recent years. Povetkins’s only chanse to win and defeat Wladimir is by knockout early to middle rounds as after that its Wladimir’s ongoing road to victory. Wladimir is winner by all choises. KO, TKO, UD, MD, SD. Povetkin cannot win on the scorecards against the champ.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Ernie is an absolute IDIOT and should be proud of himself. For an old man in his 50s-60s, he done an outstanding job of establishing himself as a “real expert” and the new Resident Retard of ESB.

Ernie with another brilliant, knowledgeable post. Log off, loser.

Wlad’s water bottle will have Russian Vodka in it. He may get a bit loopy like in the Brewster fight.

Posted October 4, 2013 1:19 am

Just read that one of the judges for the Klitschko/Povetkin fight will be wearing an ankle bracelet! LOL! I think his name is Ted Gimza? I think there are many more judges who should be wearing ankle braclets, such as the criminal judges who cheat Vera!

After seeing Eddie Chambers get robbed after beating the piss outta Povetkin, there is no doubt Wlad will waste him.

Looking forward to Wlad vs Povetkin fight. Don’t expect too much troubles for Wlad. Another day in the office for Dr. Klitschko.

Posted October 3, 2013 10:23 am

If klitschko wins I will suck off everybody on eastdide boxing. Im a cum sucking gutter slut.

Povetkin is a very good fighter with good fundamentals, but I just can’t see his style working against Wlad. He can be relentless to be sure, and his defense is pretty good… but Wlad’s footspeed and ability to manage distance just looks like too big a gap to bridge in my opinion.
I think Povetkin will be ramrod-jabbed to a wide, fairly uneventful decision, or late stoppage.

Here’s hoping I’m wrong and Povetkin has discovered some forward speed with some incredible head movement… make the fight interesting!

Two of the prime heavies of our time and HBO has finally come around to give them some air time. Wow! In europe these guys are gods and in the good old USA most people have to scratch their heads and think about it. Why? Could it be the masters of boxing and or media have something against big strong guys that can box coming out of europe? You bet!

Posted October 3, 2013 8:29 am

Wlad should win but with a long reigning champion you just never know. Most feel that Povetkin shouldn’t be able to do much, but what if he rises to the occasion and fights the fight of his life. But regardless it’s nice to have a fight for the heavyweight championship back on HBO. I know the heavyweight division as a whole is a shell of what it used to be. But I still consider it to be significant when the current heavyweight champion is fighting.

Posted October 3, 2013 7:13 am

This fight won’t even be close. Povetkin doesn’t have the tools.

There are even more rumors that Povetkin’s people will try to cheat. Vlad better watch his food, water, hotel vents, etc. Vitali will also be there to catch them cheating as he did Wach……………..

Vlad should knock Povetkin out without any trouble, but this is in Povetkin’s home town. How many times have we seen cheating in boxing, esp. in a fighters home territory?

Thanks Anonymous.., Idiot Ernie is one stupid MFer.

Wilder’s team isn’t lining Wladimir up yet.. They want to get Wach, Fury, Price, Thompson, Jennings, Arreola, Boytsov, etc. — and have a fight that goes into the late rounds.. He might take a Wladimir fight if it were offered — let’s face it — it’s not going to be offered at this point.

In the next year Wilder can have 3 or 4 fights if he can line them up…

The Wilder team is looking for much tougher guys because they would rather earn a title shot the hard way then be given something.

Posted October 2, 2013 9:45 pm

Wlad is literally “Wlad the Impaler”at this point.

Posted October 2, 2013 9:33 pm

I think Wlad should shake things up after he pounds Povi and call out Wilder. You know, since Wilder keeps calling him out. Wreck the bum smacker once and for good!

Posted October 2, 2013 9:25 pm

Povetkin should already have a loss! Eddie Chambers marked him up real good!

Posted October 2, 2013 9:22 pm

Wlad should stop Alexander around the 5th round or so. The determing factor will be his movement to catch Povetkin with his signature right or left. Wladimir has become a all around better boxer now. He sees punches and reads them very good. He has become better with his feet Wlad and he is in top of his game now

Posted October 2, 2013 8:43 pm

foul play is pov’s only chance.

Posted October 2, 2013 8:42 pm

Takes a big man to admit they like it up the arss, now let’s get back to boxing, should be he best challenge Wlad has had for some time. Povetkin has never lost as a pro and that counts for something in the fight, Olympic Champions both, Good skills and I have a feeling Wlad will open up more than usual. I think Manny was great for him up to a point, then started holding him back from using more of his natural aggression and athleticism. Manny always said he was the best athelete he had ever worked with. Like the way he has fought under Banks better, more aggression early in both his fights under Banks.

I am not kidding, I like boys.

Posted October 2, 2013 8:12 pm

I like to take straight up in the ARsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Should be a great fight, looking forward to it.

I hear laj is drinking cum

Posted October 2, 2013 7:34 pm

Two champs two excellent fighters, but Wlad has all the clear cut advantages. Povetkin will make Wlad look good and work more than usual and if he gets inside it could be fun, but just do not see it happening. The jab and power of Wlad is too much. I remember when Povetkin’s face got puffy from the Chambers fight.

Posted October 2, 2013 7:20 pm

Rumor has it Eric is drinking the pee

Posted October 2, 2013 7:18 pm

I have a feeling Povetkin may do better than most people think. Everyone is using the Huck fight as his downfall….there COULD very well be an upset here, most likely not but possible.

Both fights have clearcut faves but both are actually pretty interesting. HBO finally putting on some decent shows.

Looking forward to klitchko vs povetkin on saturday.
Povetkin will bring his a game on home turf. Wlad seems to let loose more after banks took over. Its more fun but it can lead to mistakes

Posted October 2, 2013 5:06 pm

Pov will suprise a few I think. This is věry close

Posted October 2, 2013 4:47 pm

Look at the photo accompanying this story.

The reason Wladimir’s jab and straight right hand are so quick, powerful, and effortless? The development of WK’s deltoids is amazing for a man his age. His traps, and lats and overall boxer physique has been getting better with each training camp. He believes he’s still getting stronger and quicker, and each camp builds on the last. Of course you tell yourself these things.

At 37 Lewis was bigger and stronger than ever—but not harder and better defined. At 37 Ali was in a state of deterioration. Holmes maintained his craft and skills well into his 40’s but his boxer’s body was history by that time.

@pud well duh! didn’t you already know that’s how it always is haha when wlad beats them they cry what horrible opposition he faces! or how heavyweight has never been worse!… haha 50 bucks say usually those whiners are american
