There’s an article on B.Scene that quotes Stevenson as saying that he won’t fight Kovalev until he fights a good opponent (personally I think Kovalev’s resume at 175lbs is better than Stevenson’s already). Cleverly and Campillo are WAY more durable than Shot Dawson who was knocked down multiple times by non-puncher Andre Ward in the previous fight. I concede that Stevenson has greater one punch power but that’s all he has I’m afraid. Kovalev is the better boxer, puts punches together better, has power without having to set his feet, better chin. If I’m Stevenson I avoid Kovalev like the plague.

I know stevenson and he will massacre kovalev. Hes a bull. Plus , his manager stated that he would fight kovalev sooner then later. So your sources are bs. Thank u. Montréal bb

DWC, Stevenson will reign supreme at the top of the pile.

“I don’t like Stevenson’s chances against Kovalev, Stevenson is already wisely trying to discredit Kovlalev as a future opponent.” – Source? That wouldn’t surprise me because I think everyone at 175 will duck Kovalev. I just haven’t seen that statement.

Canada eh? The winner of this bout is not the boss at 175. The winner needs to fight Kovalev and Bhop to make such a claim. So the road to 175 supremacy is in the USA or Russia.

Sorry who not how :)

No way is Stevenson the man in that devision. For me the top 2 in this are Kovalev & Hopkins, once there 2 get it on and if they get it on, then we will know how is the best at L.H

I don’t like Stevenson’s chances against Kovalev, Stevenson is already wisely trying to discredit Kovlalev as a future opponent. I can see Kovalev knocking this guy into 2015 if Stevenson is man enough to step up to the challenge, I’ve no doubt that Kovalev would go to Canada to spark Stevenson. It would be a similar fight to the upcoming Golovkin-Stevens mismatch.

By the way, Stevenson clearly hit Dawson behind the ear–pretty much on the back of the head–that’s why there was no welt or bruise on Dawson’s face at the end of the fight.

And of course Ward had his gaffe too as he was going on about how he didn’t know if Stevenson would be able to land body shots on Dawson because of Dawson’s legs blah blah blah–yeah, didn’t need to. Then, while the ref was trying to determine if Dawson could continue, Ward was rattling on about how the legs give away whether a fighter can continue after a knockdown–meanwhile the ref was looking directly into Dawson’s face when he stopped the fight.

Oh the expertise on that team of “analysts!”

I wonder if Max Kellerman will remember who’s fighting this time. In the Stevenson/Dawson fight just before the start of the fight, Kellerman said, “This is the third time in six fights that Andre Ward has fought right here in this building.” Jim Lampley corrected him saying, “You mean Chad Dawson…”

“Excuse me, Chad Dawson.”

Kellerman’s stupidity still doesn’t beat “boom bam pow” Lampley’s.

I thought at first Cloud would win this…but I changed my mind.Cloud really isnt the same guy…plus Stevenson does look impressive and is on a good roll unlike Cloud…

I believe that Adonis Stevenson is The Number 1 Light-Heavyweight in the world and that he will beat Tavoris Cloud.

Saw Adonis Stevenson at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne
He was the most impressive boxer of the tournament
He style suits the Pro Game well
Think he will take this and put another nail in Don Kings coffin
