Wilder is a good fighter… Do you think Wladimir Klitschko would hire Audley Harrison for a sparring partner??? The only problem I have with Wilder is who he’s fighting. Harrison is not really a step up opponent. Thompson, just because he flattened Price with a lucky punch, would not be a step up opponent either. Bryant Jennings, Tyson Fury, Joe Hanks, or Tomasz Adamek would be step up opponents. This is Boxing. You don’t get 100% percent certainty in any fight, and if you try you end up with Malik Scott. You’re undefeated, but you’re 36 and trying to make your move.

“Mago is white and not American (that’s why everyone’s excited about him). If Wilder were white, these same nay-sayers below would be calling him the next Klitchko” – Anonymous, you’re an obv troll or know nothing about boxing. Which is it? Wilder hasn’t faced even a top 200 ranked heavyweight to date in the pros. Which is pathetic, 5 years after he won bronze in the Olympics. That’s why few give him any hype. He deserves none.

If it’s against Harrison then that’s a pretty big step up. Which says more about the miserable level of comp Wilder’s been facing than it does about Harrison.

Alonzo – that’s because Mago is white and not American (that’s why everyone’s excited about him). If Wilder were white, these same nay-sayers below would be calling him the next Klitchko, except a more exciting verson. The dude’s knocked out everyone put in front of him. People should blame Golden Boy for the poor matchmaking, not Wilder. I’d love to see Wilder vs Mago.

Here is the beat: Wilder is, as usual, just blowing smoke. Harrison? In England? Yeah and I’m the next hw champion of the world! Not happening. Harrison is WAY overrated but he is breathing so Wilder won’t no near it!

wow Wilder in the UK. The challenger is in a pub now waiting for his payday. get him off the dole for a week. I think Harrison or Rogan would be too big of a jump for Wilder. He needs to beat Marcianos record first.

While it is unlikely that Wilder’s people will take Thompson, either of these veterans will be a big step up for Wilder. Wilder may be the real thing, but we’ll never know until he meets someone good. Harrison is a very good choice for a step up. It’s a fight I’d love to see.

I’m really suprised not a lot of people are excited about a 27-27 heavy. When Mike Tyson was 15 with 15 ko’s everyone was ecstatic. While I like Mago–he has ten less fights and most everyone is excited about him despite the use of his chin for defense. I think these two should fight.

I hope Wilder reads these posts so he can see just how much respect he has in the boxing community. Wilder’s team and most importantly, Wilder himself knows that the VERY FIRST TIME he steps in the ring with someone who is close to his size and who actually can fight back, he will be in MAJOR MAJOR TROUBLE!!!!!!

At first I thought Wilder was looking to fight doubt this cherry-picker would even fight Harrison in the U.K. If he comes to the U.K. some lucky pub fighter might be in for a decent payday.

Textbook Hayelord

Love watching Wilder tastelessly showboating against hopelessly overmatched opponents, it’s just what boxing fans want to see more of – mismatchs. Well done Goldenboy.

C’mon Dontay…fight someone without a vag!!

And, Mark Gastineau’s wife Bridgeete took more punches in their short marriage than Wilder has taken in his 5 year career!!

Honestly, OGY Oglethorpe faced far tougher opposition than Wilder in the bar rooms of the old North American Hockey League!!

Love to see WIlder-Thompson.

Thompson would MURDER Wilder, so would anyone who hits back. I bet he fights somebody unheard of and then gives an interview ringside that lasts longer than the fight itself where he “calls out” Fury and Price. I don’t think even deluded US nationalists are going to be pinning their boxing hopes on him though

Whoever it is, don’t look for Wilder to paired with a challenge.

Your sources must be incorrect!! golden shower has informed me that the final two considerations to oppose WILDER are….get this, MARK GAStINEAU and BILL ‘OGY’ OGLETHORPE…from SLAPSHOT, of course. Bet the house on OGY!!!
