about time Katsidis considered his own health and mortality. he can now take some time to pause and reflect on his memorable efforts in some excellent bouts. all the best to this proud ring-warrior.

A fan favourite who put it all on the line and was willing to go out on his shield. A throwback fighter from yesteryear who can’t be replaced in the modern cherry-picking, record padded world of boxing of today. Hope he is healthy and wealthy enough enjoy retirement.

we all know this style leads to short careers. I feel guilty watching him. Similar to Arturo Gatti. I hope he saved some money.

a modern warrior. pleasure to watch as win or lose he made every fight a fight! As a Londoner his win over kevin mitchell was one of my favourites. Best wishes and enjoy the rest of your life – you have nothing to rove to the boxing world

boxing is much more dangerous for the smaller guys due throwing more punches per fight.

He was a determined fighter. I hope he is ok, able to retire live a normal life.

he should’ve won one of the fights against Juan Diaz.

Too many tough fights for Katsidis, as it seemed every fight was a tough fight. Hopefully he is stopping in time so he doesn’t end up like the Quarry brothers. Sadly, after watching him fight a few times, you could see this coming. Katsidis was simply too tough for his own good.

Katsidis fought the iron of the sport and always straight ahead and hard. I never saw him in an easy fight. I hope he is okay and enjoys his retirement.
