PS…. he is also the Commonwealth Belt belt holder!!!

Anonymous – domestic prospect!! get real he’s the best in his country… that’s why he holds the Lonsdale belt and Tyson Fluffy run-away. His next stop and aim for a belt should be the Euro championship… domestic prospect… lol that’s funny. The thing with the Euro belt most fighters & promoters don’t like is you are told who to fight and when… the only thing left for the Promoters is to sort out the venue & TV deal.

This is still a good test for Price…but I still think Price will be problems for anybody at this point.Price future world champ???maybe.

Price has not fought at world level yet, just a domestic prospect. lets see how easily he handles Thompson.

Thompson would put you to sleep, gimme a break

Grandpa’ killer

English hype job and a fraud.

World champ

Thompson gets knocked out round 2, no one will go the distance with Price, too good with a mighty punch.

Thompson is an OLD man who is coming off ANOTHER KO loss to Wlad Klits, at 41 he KNOWS he is not going to be HW Champion and has begun the UGLY process of becoming a stepping stone for younger fighters…This is another Helenius vs Brewster or Peter scenario a guy on his way down… Thompson has not beat a top opponent since Richard Nixon was in office.

nah, Price is a fraud, believe me, don’t build too much hopes on him or you will crash down from the heights. Thompson is easy beatings to anyone, I think even I could sweep him down.

At 6’8″ Price has a 3″ reach advantage over Thompson. However, Price’s biggest asset is that he’s 12 years younger than the 41 year old Tony. Still Thompson has a lot of experience: 36 fights including bouts against Vlad Klitchko (2x), Beck, Witherspoon, Krasniqi, Ibragimov, and Guinn. Look for David to stay away from Thompson in the early rounds, wearing down his older opponent, and then unloading a bomb in the second half of the fight. As for Price vs. Fury, that probably won’t happen until late 2014.

Price is a prospect that, at present has done all that has been asked of him. He wanted to win his home nation championship and then win it outright. He was mandatory challenger when Tyson “run-a-way” Fury was the belt holder…. There’s not much he could have done about that situation…. He and his management were prepared to go to purse bids… Tyson Fluffy and his team were not that confident and relinquished the belt. As such he could only fight what his nation could put in front of him… with the exception of Derek Chisora and his licensing issues after Haye. As for his age (people made the same criticism of Froch) even though he’s no spring chicken, I don’t think being 30 and a HW is a problem as he could have a successful career for another 5 to 7 years at the top if he successful. As a prospect… yes… people are going to get carried away but at this present time… I feel he is where he should be… just getting to the next rung on the ladder

Price hasn’t been tested yet, Thompson is awkward and will test him. At this point it seems price and fury are being overrated.

Thompson is a delusional, doped-up, hype-job, yankee bum, even the scouse scum Price will KO him.

Fury will have his day to brutally KO scouser scum Price. Then Fury will face and dominate both of the punk-arse Klits! Fury shall be future ATG and heavyweight KING!

The jury is still out on Price’s chin as we have not sen he take a big shot yet ….. and i think he was stopped a couple of times in the amateurs. We shall see.

This is a step up for Price. I think he can KO thompson, maybe even faster then Wlad, but I would not bet my house on it.

Posted February 12, 2013 10:29 am

If thompson goes past 5 rounds, price is in trouble, i have a feeling price can`t take a shot.

Posted February 12, 2013 10:14 am

Price is china porcelain, first time he steps up and he’ll get exposed. Fury on the other hand seriously lacks power, but even he can knock Price out.

Posted February 12, 2013 9:53 am

good luck to him, I fancy Price to almost knock his head off his shoulders.

Posted February 12, 2013 9:16 am

I give thompson 6 rounds max. He wont want to know when price lands that big right. Only real chance is to test price early, he wont last if he tries to get him to the later rounds
