Furious Fury – Power Price 2013!

Posted January 5, 2013 3:20 pm

Box Smart

Tyson Fury doesn’t need to wait he’s ready for anyone when your great like he is your always ready bring who ever on the Fury will be unleashed

Posted January 5, 2013 1:15 pm

Blue blood

Fury still has potential, decent power and a good variety of punches for such a big lad, needs to step up but might be ready for a crack in 2014 where he will get beaten senseless by Wlad. Pulev is the only one with a shot at the mo

Posted January 5, 2013 9:24 am

Tyson Fury. Got no power,no reflexes,no speed. Will have trouble whenever steps up….

Posted January 5, 2013 6:56 am

Yes Hughie Fury looks pretty damm good for a 17yr. old.And he just won gold…maybe 2 Furys in a few years in the top spot think of that…..

Posted January 5, 2013 2:36 am

Tyson is needing a few more tune ups before Vitali and he needs to despatch Price to get a wee bit solidarity with the folks back home – He’s coming along nicely apart from his big gob but I suppose no one is perfect……

Posted January 4, 2013 6:45 pm

I can’t wait to see these comments on these forums when Tyson Fury proves you all wrong yet again 20 times he’s proved you all wrong 20-0 baby

Posted January 4, 2013 4:18 pm

Improving. Not ready. Take some time. You may well be one version of ther HW title in 2-3 years but suggest you continue to learn the craft before taking on either brother who are, after all, the elite of the division with LARGE amounts of daylight between them and anyone else.

Posted January 4, 2013 4:16 pm

If you watch Fury’s old fights, you can see that he’s definitely improved his skills. However, at 24 he’s still a project in the making. Hopefully, Fury won’t be pushed up to face top level opponents (Pulev, Haye or the Klitchkos) this year.

Posted January 4, 2013 1:17 pm

I thought Fury was the gypsie. Isn’t his dad Gypsie Joe Fury?

Posted January 4, 2013 12:53 pm

“There isn’t a huge demand for a Vitali-Fury fight worldwide.”

Amazing how the media speaks for the boxing fan. This probably isn’t the case. Why would anyone with even the smallest degree of critical thinking want to see a repeat of what happened with Wlad? The biggest argument for a Vittles/heye fight is: “I wanna see Vitali knock him out”. That won’t happen. It will be a carbon copy of the fight with Wlad probably complete with a broken toe at the end.

Posted January 4, 2013 12:51 pm

“is hoping that the 24-year-old Fury can jump in line in front of the arguably much more popular David Haye to get a title shot” Actually haye would be jumping in line. Furry has accomplished more than haye as of late.

Posted January 4, 2013 12:47 pm

Much rather see Furry than that disgraceful englishwoman with the broken toe.

Posted January 4, 2013 12:45 pm

anonymous you are correct vitali is now a paper champ. wlad is king today, vitali was awesome but he has had his time.

Posted January 4, 2013 9:23 am

vitali wont fight a guy 6’9 who can punch. Not in his prime and definitely not now. Tyson is not great but still better than the 6’8 timo hoffman who gave a prime vitali a tough 12 round war. No way would vitali step in with fury, price, wach, helenius, dimentriko even ustinov or wilder would be too great a risk

Posted January 4, 2013 9:20 am

Fury was going through some problems awhile back when he fought Pajkic and around that time, his son almost died.He also looked like he was side tracked not in the shape he is in today.Fury seems alot more focused and keeping his nose to the grindstone today.Fury is getting better with each fight and looks pretty slick for a big guy hes learning his trade well so far. Many thought Johnson was going to smash him…and Johnson barely won a round.Fury needs some more time but hes getting better and if he stays on this path he should have a world belt in the future.

Posted January 4, 2013 12:31 am

Wlad is not relevant to this article.

Posted January 3, 2013 10:09 pm

How? he’s slower, doesn’t hit hard and sloppier. Fury was almost KO’d by featherfisted gypsy bum Neven Pajkic, Pajkic punches like a HW Malignaggi, he has a less than 20% ko rate and had Fury holding on for the rest of the round and almost out. Fury’s defense is too sloppy to avoid a Wilder right hand for 12 rouunds especially when Wilder is much much quicker than him. Wilder has a glass jaw too but the thing is Fury doesn’t hit hard enough to shatter it whereas Wilder hits harder than anyone at HW that isn’t Wlad even though Wilder is very poor technically. You know what they say: “In a battle of glass jawed fighter you go with the puncher everytime” especially when the puncher is much quicker.

Posted January 3, 2013 9:44 pm

… have to remember that Fury is only about 23. He has time and has potential. The heavyweight scene is looking up and we should be thankful for that. Fury, Price, Wilder and a bunch of others means the division could be interesting. Wlad might get some decent challengers.

Posted January 3, 2013 8:56 pm

Fury beats Wilder though

Posted January 3, 2013 8:45 pm

….. as for Fury-v-Price ….. I think it is a close one. Slight advantage to Price maybe but I believe fury has been tested more than Price has. Tough one for me.

Posted January 3, 2013 8:44 pm

I like Fury and I rate him ….. but i wouldnt be ready to pick him over Vitali. Vitali wins for me.

Posted January 3, 2013 8:42 pm

fury wouldn’t even beat Price or Wilder. He’s sloppy, glass jawed and has no power, size alone isn’t gonna beat anyone decent and motivated

Posted January 3, 2013 8:42 pm

Wow – This site really is full of morons. Anybody who thinks Fury would win is smoking some really good stuff. I’m not a fan of either Klit, but at the current time, there is no fighter out there that can give them any sort of a challenge.

Posted January 3, 2013 8:19 pm

I think Fury wins this. Wont happen. Vitali wont fight tall people

Posted January 3, 2013 8:00 pm

Y agree with you and that fury is 24 years old this goes straight too the top

Posted January 3, 2013 7:18 pm

Johnson was a solid win for Fury. I thought he’d have more trouble. He also handled Chisora and Rogan in pretty impressive fashion.

Posted January 3, 2013 7:07 pm

I dont get this writer of this article …. fury slaps?/??/???? af he is slapping why did he knock out firtha ..rogan …end al the others opponents he faced…. vitaly klitschko didnt knocked chisora and jhonson our diddent he??? this writer doesent like fury bud he must stay objective…..I dont say tyson fury is a big puncher like wilder ore price bud he punches hard enough to win his fights and too ko them

Posted January 3, 2013 7:06 pm

Fury is doing good.Alot of people dont give him enough credit…they are the same people that said Johnson would murder him.Fury is very young and just needs some more good fights and alittle more time.

Tyson Fury would beat that chump in a phone booth

Posted January 3, 2013 6:41 pm

That’s wright whath!!! I do not want to see 6’9” giant be on the floor , and never be again the same . But he think’s it’s worthed for few mill’s.

Posted January 3, 2013 6:10 pm

I truly cannot believe my eyes that people actually think Fury could beat Vitali. This website must be in Bizarro world or blogged by absolute fools. Fury does not deserve a shot at Vitali and isn’t good enough to win. The only positive for the outcome of this fight is that Fury would get hurt and we’d never need to hear from him again.

Posted January 3, 2013 5:30 pm

At this moment Vitali is a cardboard champion. Pretty much everyone among top contenders is better than him. Even those he won in the past. Even Charr who through around 10 punches most of them reached old chempion.

Posted January 3, 2013 5:19 pm

Fury has a good chance against vitali. He is yong, faster. Vitali is not a puncher too. Also he never fought with a taller fighter, and it’s his only skills to stay on a distance. I think Wlad would win, but Vitali is in trouble with Fury. He can get split desition if he fights in Germany.

Posted January 3, 2013 5:14 pm

Vitali is holding the cards, and he is the dealer.

Here, here.

Posted January 3, 2013 5:06 pm

hes been decked once lol

Posted January 3, 2013 4:59 pm

Tyson Fury is awful, he has no power at the top level and for a man of 6’9 he cannot punch! Also, he has a very bad chin, decked about 4 times so far. He is very entertaining with his mouth though. as soon as he steps up he will get badly hurt, Vitali (even this old version) is a beast and will annihilate him.

Well said Knowall

Ha ha ha sleepy time tyson

Thank you for stating that Fury is still out of shape even in the best shape of his career. Fury isn’t much different than Valuev was in that he gets buy on beating up club fighters and relies mostly on his size rather than honed skill to win. Fury isn’t that talented nor is he that serious about the sport as evidenced by the flab around his midsection.

Posted January 3, 2013 3:58 pm

To early for fury. At the mo vitali is miles better than fury. Furys power against top guys is questionable and he cant take a shot. wait Tyson you aint good enough yet

Posted January 3, 2013 3:49 pm

Tyson-Price 2013 and get the smoke cleared. People would like to see this fight. Haye would be too much risk for Tyson. Tyson cannot put the money on the table that a Haye-Vitali fight would generate. If Tyson beats Price . . .

Posted January 3, 2013 3:47 pm

People who believe Fury beats Vitali should think of a online ping pong career. Klitschko boxes Fury´s ears off when they meet. What a joke, Fury has never impressed, never fought a Top30 man, he was in deep trouble with C-Level guys…..and suddenly in one year he is world class beater level?????

Posted January 3, 2013 3:30 pm

I’d feel very sorry for Vitali if he accepts Fury’s challenge. Fury would horrifically brutalise Vitali and KHTFO by about round four or five. If there are benevolent boxing gods, they will not allow this terrible mismatch to ever happen.

vitali would win fury aint got no legs,he cant take a shot, vitali still has enough in him to do him.but if fury beats arrelloa or adamek then my view would change.till then hes stilll wet behind the ears…

Posted January 3, 2013 3:08 pm

Boxsmart sees a different Tyson Fury to the rest of us

Posted January 3, 2013 3:05 pm

Fury is coming along very well…no doubt. But hes not ready just yet I hope it dosent happen.Take your time Fury you have time on your side whats the rush???A few more good fights under your belt will only help then strike when the time is right.

Posted January 3, 2013 3:04 pm

Oh and Boxsmart probably is Tyson Fury. David Price folds him in half in less than 3 rounds if Fury ever has the courage to face him. Wot happen though

Tyson Fury is the best condender out there technically and athletically he’s head and shoulders above everyone else cos there all big robots with no movement. Fury is a classic 80s 90s boxer he’s got good upper body movement and head movement and he throws combinations to head and body tell me another HW that can do that? Vitali Klitschko will get beaten if he fight Fury he’s to old and slow now he cuts corners in training cos his body won’t allow him to do what he used to do but if the fight happens he will be beaten up and stopped inside 9 rounds. FACT
