Sredmond lies.., “Vitali has DEFINATELY been beaten, he is a QUITTER and he was bludgeoned to the point he could not continue”
Vitali wasn’t bludgeoned.. You get points for bludgeoning people and LL was behind on all scorecards.. As you could plainly see by the way Lewis was staggered and almost went down, Vitali landed the best punches in the fight.. Lewis landed one (1) big uppercut, but it didn’t move or stagger Vitali at all..
There was no swelling around the eyes or cheek where the 3 deep jagged cuts were.. It looked like somebody slashed them open with laces or tape edges – the kind of thing one get when you rake somebody’s face with the palm of your glove – which the video record clearly shows Lewis did.
Obviously if the fight went to the scorecards like it should have — Vitali would have won a Unanimous Technical Decision because he was ahead on all scorecards.Posted August 23, 2014 2:25 am

If Wladimir had been more aggressive then the; mega fight with Haye, the Peter rematch, the Povetkin unification would have all been very entertaining fan friendly fights and he almost certainly would have won them all. He stifled three potentially very exciting fights there. But I agree, his negativity against a n aggressive light Peter in 2010 is NOTHING compared to his display against Povetkin. I was really truly disgusted shocked and thought what the f*ck when I saw that fight. The worst he’s ever looked and he could legally have been DQedPosted August 22, 2014 10:30 am
Not sure what SREDMOND meant by the Haye fight. Haye ran the entire damn fight, bad toe and all. How on earth did Wladimir play safe in that fight ?? Haye had only one chance–leap in with a haymaker and try to land it–that was his strategy. Who played it safe there SREDMOND ??Posted August 22, 2014 10:23 am

The Povetkin fight was ugly because of both guys, not just Klitschko. Povetkin would leap in, and if he didn’t land, he grabbed on. Because Klitschko is taller, it always appears he is draping himself over the opponent, when in fact, it was Povetkin charging in, eating some leather, and hugging. I tell some of the haters to watch Lennox’s fight with Tyson—identical tactics.Posted August 22, 2014 10:15 am

I used to love the Ks but Wlad’s brother is a political puppet and he is an actor in co’op with Briggs. I don’t like Wlad’s style since Manny has passed (RIP Emanuel Steward). Wlad seems to have regressed and Povetkin was all over him while Wlad hugged the better part of the whole fight. @Unbiased Dane. I don’t think Povetkin was looking to survive before about the seventh. He wanted to exchange on the inside but Wladimir refused to let him. Similarly when Wladimir fought Peter in their hyped rematch, Sam was very aggressive and up for that fight, against any other big man he would have landed several big bombs, but Wladimir was just too athletic and only got caught a handful of times. Yet in both of those fights I agree that when Peter and Povetkin were dead tired they were part of the problem with the clinches. All that being said, I’m a huge Wladimir fan but I was utterly disgusted by his performance against Povetkin. For me given the circumstances that is his single worst ever in ring performance.Posted August 22, 2014 5:33 am
Bill Patrice Jones sure Wlads fight against Povetkin was one of his worst fights, with all the clinching, but Povetkin was also to blaim, it became clear early on that keeping his head against Wlads chest was the only way to survive.Posted August 22, 2014 5:04 am

As for this fight. It’s not an easy matchup for either guy. If Pulev was bigger and had a longer reach then he could make this into a very tactical and closely fought battle of the jabs, as he possesses an excellent fast jab himself. Unfortunately the size difference, though not monstrous, will mean Klitschko will be able to land his own jab without getting into firing range, and Pulev’s attempts to step into a double jab might result in; clinching or Wladimir simply skipping back and getting ready for the next of his own shots. People can say Pulev should just take chances and come forward, but Povetkin fought like that. Alexander was genuinely upfor that fight and tried to get close and fire off his short fast accurate hooks. The plan backfired completely because Wladimir just held the sh*t out of him anytime he came forward thus nullifying his arsenal. I hope Pulev makes a fight of thisPosted August 22, 2014 4:40 am

@Tark you f*cking troll. My vision didn’t meet the testing standards of ABA regulation unless I wore outrageously expensive lenses or got laser eye surgery. As for the 1st Froch Groves fight IF the judges had been scoring the fight correctly Froch should have been 6-1 down after 7 with a knockdown which makes him 6 points behind which means that the only realistic way he is going to win is by KO. Still waiting on your boxing credentials?? F*cking sad delusional twat who sits in his basement and actually PRETENDS to have been a successful pro boxer and trainer. You NEVER boxed amateur you NEVER competed amateur. You NEVER dreamt of boxing pro and you NEVER trained anyone. “Besides that, if someone turns their head on what would be a legal strike if they acted according to the rules you can’t penalise them.”
But IF you get hit low, on the back, or in the back of the head, it’s not a legal blow. If a headbutt is accidental it’s still NOT legal contact. If there’s a cut that eventually stops the fight you still go to the scorecards like Ward-Kessler.
If you’re down from illegal contact, accidental or deliberate, you still get time to recover… Khan deliberately held Judah’s head down and smashed him below the belt… the referee saw the head hold down and not the low blow. He was behind Judah. But because of the holding and hitting infraction, Zab should have been given time to recover — he was counted out.. It’s on youtube and easy to see.Posted August 21, 2014 10:41 pm

Besides that, if someone turns their head on what would be a legal strike if they acted according to the rules you can’t penalise them.
If I throw a shot at your stomach and you jump in the air and take it in the balls that is hardly my fault.
I don’t see you complaining about Johnson vs green which clearly hit the back of the head as green twisted awayPosted August 21, 2014 9:29 pm
Jim Rich, I have stated this multiple times, but Wlad’s avergae weight has been 238.5lbs for his fights, his opponents have been 238lbs, so your bigger argument is BS, as are many of your other arguments. Fact is Ali, LL, Joe Lewis, Foreman, etc. all were much larger on average than Wlad has been. Ali was much large than most of his LHW and cruiserweight opponents and had an average of 5lbs more than his opponents and up to 40 when he fought against still LHW’s in the 175lbs area. So the size difference is ignorance talking, sorry, just calling it like it is.Posted August 21, 2014 9:27 pm

Scott was hit behind the ear (not a legit blow) and was carefully watching the referee’s count. He was up before what would have been “10” but in the UK is “out.”
Even the British announcers said Scott was up at first. But you know, announcers like to keep their job so they quickly changed their minds and blamed Scott for misjudging the count.

I believe Wladimir Klitschko – Kubrat Pulev will be Wladimir’s last fight if he is victorious. God willing Wladimir soon will become a father and I am sure will want to concentrate on his new family. As well so important to Wladimir will be continuing his support of his brother Vitali Klitschko who has a great challenge in front of him having recently become mayor of Kiev. I am sure Wladimir will miss the sport of boxing but there are so many other goals and achievements Wladimir has left to accomplish out of the ring. I would not be surprised if Wladimir announces his retirement post fight. It would be fitting if Wladmir changed his ring entrance song from “Can’t Stop” by the California band Red Hot Chilli Peppers to “Don’t Know What You Got” by the Pennsylvania band Cinderella.Posted August 21, 2014 6:02 pm
Wladimir has had a spectacular career… NOBODY else has dominated for so many years except Joe Louis.. But Louis didn’t do it at age 38.. Louis was on the slide at 30, and badly beaten at 35 and 37 by Charles and Marciano.
Charles fought for a long time at middleweight and light heavyweight… and Marciano was a 184-pound heavyweight.
Louis had a lifestyle like Mike Tyson. That burns you out.
Wladimir looks better than ever at 38. He’s freakin’ amazing. One thing that’s positive – he didn’t badly injure his legs in kickboxing like Vitali did, so he might last even longer, you never know.Posted August 21, 2014 5:38 pm

I think people forget that both klit bros lost to good competition when it existed in the heavyweight division. They are good heavyweights but they are also way bigger than most of the people they fight so they almost always physically tower over their opponents. I’d love to see big george foreman give the beat down to wlad, walking thru all wlad shots, wlad would collapse in to a quivering pile of jelly at the relentless pressure big george would have put on him, we all know this. I agree here. This is a great opportunity for the promising heavyweight talent Anthony Joshua (7-0-0 KO’s 7) to get good experience from sparring with the world’s best heavyweight, the undisputed world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.
For Wladimir it is very good as well as he then can not only have an young, tall, strong and fast sparring partner but also he gets a closer look of what 24 year young Joshua haves to offer him in the ring. It is not unlikely that Joshua maybe one days ends up to fight Wladimir in a title fight.
I must say that I’m impressed with the 2012 Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua’s talent and progress so far. He is a world title champion material I believe but it could be to early to say that now but as long as he fights regularly and against good opponents, I’m sure he can be the next champ.
So far his best fight/victory is against 47 year old Matt Skelton by 2nd round TKO and scheduled to fight Michael Sprott in October 11th later this year.
I hope he will fight some good opponents next year!Posted August 21, 2014 4:43 pm

@Tark you’re calling people on their lies. I heard a rumor that team Stiverne are going to bring you into camp for a month or so to see if you can help him get to the next level. Sredmond LIES…, “clean blows starting with a single right hand”
If you look at that right hand shot that caused the 1st nick in slo-mo — you’ll see it was not a “clean” shot at all… It was a grazing thumb strike.
No clean blows can be found that opened up those deep gashes on Vitali’s left eye and cheek… That’s a lie on your part… The video record clearly shows that the palm of Lewis’s right glove slashed open those deep cuts.
Answer me this… Lewis his Mavrovic for 12 rounds and never opened a single cut… Lewis never won another fight on cuts in his life.
Vitali never even suffered a threatening cut, before or since the Lewis fight.
Doesn’t it seem strange to you that Vitali, who never lost a fight on cuts in his life, except the Lewis fight, gets all those deep gashes in one (1) round — when Lewis has never been able to do that to anyone else???
You’re not even LOOKING at the video record.Posted August 21, 2014 4:33 pm

Jonathon Banks, Wladimir’s trainer, ““Wladimir is training like a beast. He is the only heavyweight boxer in the world who can box for 15-16 rounds at such a fast pace,””
No other heavyweight Champion ever trained so intensely for a title defense, or used 15 top sparring partners. Especially not at 38 years of age.
Wladimir is only going so hard because Pulev has put together an insane training regimen, in a super serious attempt to rip the title from Klitschko… Pulev even said, “He’s gonna have to knock me out. I’m going for it.”Posted August 21, 2014 4:20 pm
Tark, there is no intelligent comparison between the two… There are reams of articles regarding Holyfield 1 and the historic level of the robbery.. There are NO widespread claims of Lewis “cheating” Klitschko that’s a fantasy that exists Only on these threads and a school of thought you ONLY changed to at the behest of Bears of all people LMAO… AGAIN your proprietary opinion has NO cache amongst sane circles beyond Klit threads on ESB… Vitali lost that fight and his injuries came as a result of clean blows starting with a single right hand that started him on the road to ruin…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!Posted August 21, 2014 4:19 pm
Lewis was awarded a rematch with Holyfield because of the injustice of the first fight…
Vitali was named Lewis’s mandatory challenger because of the injustice of the first fight… Lewis LOUDLY BRAGGED about what he would do to Vitali in their rematch — but when it came time to put up or shut up, he CHICKENSHlTTED AND RETIRED!!!!Posted August 21, 2014 4:10 pm
Vitali only lost to Lewis officially… just as the official decision on Lewis-Holyfield 1 was incorrectly decided.
Not all official results reflect what happened in the fight.
The deep slashes on Vitali’s face were caused by illegal contact and he was winning the fight on ALL SCORECARDS at the end of the fight.
In those cases you’re supposed to go to the scorecards, and rightfully award Vitali a UNANIMOUS TECHNICAL DECISION.Posted August 21, 2014 4:04 pm
All of the damage to Vitali’s face came from some GORGEOUS right hands that Klit fans would LOVE to deem illegal because their hero got his face and his dreams decimated in short order… Tark and the other BUMS on this thread have been trying to get Vitali a pardon from his loss for over 10 years now and he still resides on DEATH ROW with his record having to live off Sam Peter as his BEST night in a boxing ring…Posted August 21, 2014 4:04 pm
If I was Vlad I would be kicking in doors to fight Chisora, and give him the beating of his life for his disrespect.Posted August 21, 2014 3:45 pm
Guess who is the manditory in the WBO for Wlad. Derek Chisora !! Here is where Wlad can spit in Chisora’s face and get even. So, why would Chisora want to jeopardize his number one with Fury?? Maybe his injury is strategic.Posted August 21, 2014 3:36 pm
Anthony Joshua seems to be well gounded and have his head on straight… He doesn’t bluster and brag like Fury and Wilder.
He’s even down playing his Olympic Gold Medal and saying it doesn’t mean more to him than other championships he won as an amateur… He says they were all steps along way to where he is today, and he’s focused on the moment, and that’s the way he’s always been, and that’s how he got to where he is today.
He measures himself against Fury and Chisora and likes what he sees.Posted August 21, 2014 3:31 pm
No, Pulev deserves and demands all of Wlads attention and training. Pulev is a threat and Wlad is not taking him lightly. In this fight Pulev is going to eat a lot of leather, and he is going to be jabbed until his entire spine is in pain. Pulev is a straight up fighter and is easy to hit, and he has a good chin so he will eat a lot of leather. I think he gets TKO’d. Wlad will be hit also, and we Wlad fans hope he is not cut like in the Williamson fight. But Wlad should be able to jab the crap out of Pulev to a victory. Then Wlad goes on to the next manditory of another of his three belts! Briggs is not involved at all. Not at all!!Posted August 21, 2014 3:30 pm
Lol people still crying that Lennox Lewis beat Vitali Klitchko..how long has it been…GET OVER IT!!!!Posted August 21, 2014 3:28 pm
After a few easy fights W.K. isnt taking a chance with Pulev who is no killer, but better then some of his more recent challengers.Posted August 21, 2014 3:27 pm
95% of the damage to Vitali’s face in the Lewis fight came within 1 minute of the 3rd round, and all from illegal contact.
A grazing thumb strike opened a slight nick on Vitali’s left eye… In the clinch that followed soon after, Lewis raked Vitali’s face with the palm of his right glove. That slash opened up 3 deep gashes on Vitali’s eye and cheek, all ripped in the same direction as the palm slash. Lewis also rubbed his head into the the cuts.
Normally a referee would stop the action at that point to have the doctor examine the cuts and inform the judges that the deeply slashed gashes came from illegal contact.
Lou Moret seemed to be in Lewis’s pocket and didn’t do that… Since Vitali was leading on ALL SCORECARDS at the end of the fight he should have been awarded a UNANIMOUS TECHNICAL DECISION.Posted August 21, 2014 3:23 pm
I get the impression he is already training for Briggs.Posted August 21, 2014 3:17 pm
Jim, its because Lewis BEAT Vitali the first time out… Don’t insult Rahman by comparing his first performance where he flattened Klitschko to that of Vitali who looked like he was tied to the front of Lewis Hummer and driven thru 100 yards of barbed wire…Posted August 21, 2014 3:02 pm
my prediction is that anonymous beats boxtradamus by UDPosted August 21, 2014 2:20 pm
Anonymous— Lewis wanted no part of a rematch with Vitali. Can’t figure out why. Lewis wanted Rahman again after HE got flattened. Strangely, Lewis chose to retire . Hmmmmm—–Posted August 21, 2014 2:08 pm
Has TARK mentioned Vitali and his LOSS to Lennox Lewis yet on this thread? Tark would have you believe that Vitali has never lost a fight in his career. He is also angling for a way to put himself in Vitali’s corner, so he can say he trained him. Tark is a fantasist.Posted August 21, 2014 1:51 pm
Help, I spoke and he has locked me in the closet again! His bad picks are all my fault. :(Posted August 21, 2014 1:48 pm
TARK would have you believe he is a famous trainer. He’s wetting his pants as he wants to pretend he had a hand in the metamorphosis of Wlad as a modern great, when in reality at best he was the bucket man who washed his smalls but only after sniffing them or a very, very long time.Posted August 21, 2014 1:47 pm
15 sparring partners sounds like overkill. Even if they throw one guy in with him for a round apiece, sparring 15 rounds in a day like that could leave to over-training.Posted August 21, 2014 1:38 pm
“AGAIN : Boxterdummy !”-Nope. Boxtermoney!!!Posted August 21, 2014 1:37 pm
This is MY first post on this thread SO alot of you need to go take you some BRAINS courses. Wlad WINS this by SYSTEMATIC decision. And I WILL be celebrating another WIN immediately afterwards! !!!!Posted August 21, 2014 1:35 pm
AGAIN : Boxterdummy !Posted August 21, 2014 12:45 pm
Somebody wake me up when the ‘fight’ (loose term) is over please …….Posted August 21, 2014 12:42 pm
MrSnow, AGAIN Wlad does have a habit of banging out sparring partners like Tony Thompson and Pianeta or was it Wach? Jus sayin man don’t get so angry, I fully expect Wlads reign during this terrible ERA of HW boxing to continue unabated for awhile longerPosted August 21, 2014 12:38 pm
Wlad looked pretty china chined agains sanders, its just the lack of quality opposition that has made Wlad a decent good heavyweight appear to many to be more than he is. Against prime competition, if there was any Wlad would be exposed for the lazy jab right hand that he is. Wlad is flustered even cowardly in the face of adversity as he has shown several times before. People were saying Tyson was the best bum slayer of all time. Wlad is kind a good and grabbing and holding and jabbing on bums for a win, not to exciting. Tyson Ko’s wlad if they met when tyson won the title. Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Foreman, Holmes, Ali, well I could go on and on but they all take Wlad in their primes. TO bad the comepetition sucks, You can’t fight stiffs and bums and go down as the greatest heavyweight ever, I mean the division is the most lackluster ever, not really Wlad fault but we already seen what happens when Wlad is tested, he cracks liek humpty dumpty falling off a wall. Ty for the great fight sanders u over the hill golfer part time boxer still kicked wlad ars, that was so awesome.Posted August 21, 2014 12:38 pm
Looks like Anon just exposed Boxtradumas.
picks. As far as Herron I already laid down the verbal assault on him that night on the show and he don’t want no more of me. Not only am I beast but I am also the greatest fight PROPHET ever born!!!!Posted August 21, 2014 12:32 pm
MrSnow1961: You have no idea what you are talking about. If “I” have ever been wrong it was merely my Jester trying to FOOL you among others. I am perfect and so are my INCREDIBLEPosted August 21, 2014 12:31 pm
Vlad by one-sided UD. But Pulev is a good heavyweight, just by far not as good as Vlad. After this fight, Vlad should go for Wilder/Stiverne, and Pulev should go for the winner of Fury-Chisora 2.Posted August 21, 2014 12:13 pm
“Time for Pulev to SMASH the China chin ending Wlad’s reign of boring terror.”
That’s a hell of a ‘china chin,’ considering Wlad hasn’t been dropped in 10 years. You know NOTHING about boxing and Anonymous proved it by posting your clueless wrong predictions. Joey Herron owned your ass on air. Surprised you have the balls to even show your face here after that beat down.Posted August 21, 2014 12:08 pm
Um this could be the um fight of the century? Go polvolo or whatever his name is. What network is this going be on and when.Posted August 21, 2014 11:47 am
Pulev seems to be in the best shape of his life.
With all the fights that don’t happen, it is amazing that a potentially great heavyweight fight is almost here.
Cobra!!Posted August 21, 2014 11:33 am
Floydy numb nuts
Vlad the valiant. P4P # 1. Nice guy who respects women and old interviewers.Posted August 21, 2014 10:39 am
Wlad takes this in my opinion, you are judging Pulev on mediocre competition, I have no idea what gives people the idea that he can beat Wlad? anyway the best news here I can see is that Anthony Joshua gets to spar with the world champion, provided he does not have a glass jaw I can see Joshua doing really well.Posted August 21, 2014 10:20 am
Wlad has 15 sparring partners!! That means he now has 15 opponents to fight AFTER Pulev! Great news for HW boxing LOLPosted August 21, 2014 10:07 am
Brazilian Boxing Fan
I believe Wlad will beat Pulev.Posted August 21, 2014 9:53 am
England out of World Cup again
This time Boxtradamus is right . Pulev will badly beat Wlady ……..Posted August 21, 2014 9:46 am
To all those that criticize my AWESOME picks that is simply called JEALOUSY. You will all see once again how great I am once this fight happens. I am the greatest fight PROPHET ever born!!!!Posted August 21, 2014 9:23 am
Wlad can jab all night long if he wants too. His jab is faster and way way stronger. It won’t be pretty, but he can if he wants. Wlad won’t lose this or any of the next 10 or so fights.Posted August 21, 2014 9:14 am
Boxterdummy !Posted August 21, 2014 8:56 am
Go Pulev!Posted August 21, 2014 8:27 am
Does anyone actually think Pulev will win?? I just cant see how he could..Wladamir is going to destroy himPosted August 21, 2014 7:51 am
Wlad is making 15 heads ache. Pulev will be number 16.Posted August 21, 2014 7:36 am
