Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin or GGG is where all the G’s come from. So yes he can count and read, and speaks four languages as well, English, Kazakh German and Russian. Can you count or speak four languages or read or hold off on making incorrect statements in a feeble attempt at humor ??

Besides, Wright fought Soliman 9 years ago. What’s that fight have to do with Sam Soliman today?

Posted July 31, 2014 9:57 am

“Soliman is a one round job. Stupid fight. Like fighting Winky Wright.”

Well, Winky was a much better fighter than Soliman. Much better.

Soliman has his Mandatory in March/April of 2015. More lies from Soliman.

Posted July 31, 2014 5:15 am

On the plus side for Sam Soliman
It is unlikely that even with Govokin amateur background
he has ever faced anyone with Sam soilmans bizarre fighting style

You cannot train for his swarming, jumpy method of fighting
It’s not unusual for Soliman to throw a punch mid air with both feet off the ground

Al Arabia

me as an arabian i would love to see my fellow soliman beating golovkin! but this is like saying a pitbull is losing to a cat. soliman would get his arabian arse beaten by golvkin.

DaTruth Hurtzzz

even old shot Soliman would KO Canelo.. EZ win for him..

GGG middle name is “Gareth”

Posted July 30, 2014 2:48 am

Wasn’t Soliman on the Contender fourteen hundred years ago…and lost? Joke fight.

Posted July 29, 2014 8:33 pm

I don’t want to be nitpicking but…..
Where does the third “G” in “triple G” come from?
He may be an AWESOME fighter but can he count ?

Fight Aficionado

Soliman wants to get KTFO next year but not this year.

Posted July 29, 2014 4:49 pm

I just want to know if GGG will knock him out and through the ropes like Ishida Boxtradamus.

Posted July 29, 2014 4:39 pm

They ll do this fight next I guarantee

Posted July 29, 2014 4:07 pm

GGG smashes Soliman inside two rounds. Thought I would share my bold pick before I sit down to eat my dinner. I am the greatest fight PROPHET ever born!!!!!

Why are Canelos Fans so terrified of him fighting GGG at 154lbs???

Posted July 29, 2014 2:48 pm

Bring ‘um all on I say: Quillan, Murray, Cotto, Sturm, Soliman, Korobov, Chavez Jr., Lee, Alvarez, Lemieux, Jacobs etc., etc. As long as they fight GGG at 160.

Posted July 29, 2014 2:28 pm

random test

Big Ham, Are u absolutely sure Soliman is a well known person/boxer in the United States????

Posted July 29, 2014 1:51 pm

Big Ham

Also look at recent achievement. Sturm was viewed as a top 3 middleweight for the last 8 years. Soliman beat him twice, the first time handily, the second time even more handily to prove the german steroid tests jumped the gun on him. If he is anything close to what he was when he fought Winky Wright it will be a good fight for however long it lasts. GGG’s competition is better than Mike Tyson’s in the 80s nobody complained about 3 round KO’s back then, back then they invigorated the sport. Now they just invigorate the keyboard commando haters. Sam will get his shot. Let him milk his free title defense with him being the A side for the first time in his career then he will fight GGG. Notice Sam said he is taking a fight in the united states first. Not in Australia? He’s doing that to build his profile back up rather than taking a home fight.

This article makes poor points. First of all Sam Soliman is known well in the united states. In fact who could ever forget his odd style and personality? Secondly he fears no one. Sam is crazy brave. He will likely lose to GGG but he will fight him. Sam just won his first world title, do you think it is somehow unusual or out of place that his manager would go about and setup an easy first title defense for him, after Sam having spent the last 10 years fighting for short money in other fighters back yards?

If Soliman really wanted this fight he would be willing to drop his upcoming fight (one that I don’t even see on Boxrec).

44 11 18. LMFAO.

All right, the GGG bandwagon is moving along. Yes, he has beaten (really beaten) his previous opponents. It is possible that Soliman may possess the boxing skills necessary to beat GGG. I don’t know this because I have never seen Soliman box. But historically, punchers like GGG will eventually meet their match. It happened to Foreman (Ali) and it happened to John Mugabi (Hagler) and these two among many others were going through opponents easily until….In fact, the same thing happened to Pacquaio (Marquez) so punchers do get punched out.

Noone beating GGG at 160

Posted July 29, 2014 9:09 am

In the second fight Soliman was flattened
That’s not quite my interpretation of being injured . . .
If Mundine lays him out flat
GGG removes his head from his shoulders

Bo Bo Olson

Strum did not take Soliman lightly….he fought the wrong fight wanting to KO him. Strum ‘forgot’ to jab and go.
As a Strum fan…I had Soliman winning.
I’d pick GGG, but it would not be an easy fight at all. Soliman is Mr. Energy in the ring, a full three minute round, every round, at first round speed for 12 rounds.
Well, Strum did get in one real hard punch, but didn’t get in the follow up.
That is why I’d pick GGG. I assume GGG has a left uppercut. He’ll need it.

Posted July 29, 2014 3:46 am

Good try Danny geale we are all proud of you in Aussie land. The fact that you had the guts and heart to step into the ring with a fighter like GGG is why you will be remembered as one of our greats (unlike you know who). I admire your ambitions sammy but maybe you should sit this one out mate. Get “you know who” back in the ring and tune him up a bit. That will be great!!!

Posted July 29, 2014 3:19 am

Aussies are used to get beaten up. Soliman is waste of time. Quillin would be perfect for next.

Posted July 29, 2014 3:08 am

Officially Mundine beat Soliman 3 times but that isn’t the case. Soliman won the first fight and got robbed, the 2nd fight was a legitimate win to Mundine thanks to Soliman getting injured during the fight, the 3rd was very close and thought it should of been a draw. Just my opinion.

Posted July 29, 2014 2:33 am

Kangaroo Soup

Only Aussies will fight this guy. Where is the rest of the world?

Posted July 29, 2014 2:31 am

Anthony Mundine has beaten Sam Soliman 3 x Times

“Be carefull what you wish for Sam, this guy hurts people”

Posted July 29, 2014 2:08 am

Golovkin has been talks with Soliman for an unification fight. This fight will happen. Golovkin by knockout!!!

I am not posting too fast, what is going on?

Posted July 29, 2014 1:56 am

Soliman is a one round job. Stupid fight. Like fighting Winky Wright.
Posted July 28, 2014 7:04 pm

Soliman gave Wright fits easily could have got a draw …..

Posted July 28, 2014 11:51 pm

You’re not going to beat GGG just by making him miss. You need to have the power to keep him off you. Anybody without that power, don’t bother showing up. The guy will stalk you down!

BRZA DA ORIGINATOR is posting sh*t under loomis…… little boy posting on a mans site. Hahaha
never mind he, s off for school misbehave.

I’d say that TOO IF I know I can’t beat him THIS year. And IF I KNOW I can’t beat him when next year comes around then I’ll say next year once again.

Sam Soliman will be KOd next year.

’76 Olympic Team

Sam is a warrior. Too bad all these current paper champs don’t have that fighting spirit.

Posted July 28, 2014 5:43 pm

Soliman is banking his retirement checks. Losing is no loss for him. He can still hang with the other rest of the best and be a good gate keeper. It is win-win for Soliman even if he loses.

Posted July 28, 2014 5:32 pm

Soliman = lamb to the slaughter.

GGG smahses him to pieces.

Posted July 28, 2014 5:27 pm
