Mexican Corruption Destroying USA Boxing

Mexican Corruption is Destroying USA Boxing.. When you have A Corrupt Mexican Boxing Sanchioning body, A Corrupt Drug Addicted Mexican Boxing Promoter, A corrupt Mexican Judge giving the Bogus Win after Bogus wins to their Favorite Mexican Boxers you know it’s time for the USA to take a second look at our beloved Sport.. The Days of Boxing Fans respecting and appreciating the Sweet Science, the Sport where Hit and avoid getting hit ruled are being replaced by who is the toughest and can take the most punches to the Face contests, USA Boxing is becoming just a Tijuana Cantina Drunk Tough man Contest…

Gotta love all these Mexicans like (te Tumbo) now making the Case for why The Great Boriqua Tito Trinidad beat Delahoya like Canelo beat Lara who ran all night long like Delahoya.. Lara did not hurt or back up Canelo like DelaRunner vs Tito, Lara backpeddled all night long like Delahoya who Back peddled for 6 rounds and then Flat out Ran for the next 6 Rounds.. Yeap, Delahoya Clearly lost to Trinidad.. just like Lara Lost to Canelo.. Glad to see all these Mexicans especially Dumbo now see the light… Well, Lara’s Jabs did fk up Canelos Face pretty Baddly all night long while DelaRunner didn’t even give Tito a scratch.. LOL

I had it 117 – 111. Lara did not fight and when he did he threw baby punches, hell, a woman can hit much harder that Lara “The Coward”. One left by Alvarez did more damage than all of Lara’s punches put together…………Lara was running like a hell…………………he was afraid to fight…………….you have to land punches to win a fight………………….you could hear Alvarez’ body punches, but you could not hear Lara’s baby punches………..Lomachenko moved, but he also fought, he used lateral movement, the only thing Lara did was run, track & field. Lara deserved to lose, the only one fighting was Alvarez. I dare anyone to criticize Vladimir Klitschko for using his jab and knocking people out……………….

Posted July 14, 2014 1:36 am

Canelo said he came to fight. He forgot to add: “and miss and go for the fences when miss my target. It’s all good anyway with the two freakisly blind judges.”

Hecdog, running or not Lara won easy.

After rewatching this fight a few times, I had Lara winning 8 out of the first 9 rounds without question. Please watch the fight without commentary and use the following criteria to score each round: Clean punching, Effective Aggressiveness, Ring Generalship and defense. If you watch it as a true boxing fan and not wanting either guy to win, you will clearly see that Erislandy Lara dominated this fight in all areas. Those body shots from Canelo were either blocked, or glancing punches, few landed cleanly in the scoring area. Yes Canelo had 1-2 rounds where they landed clean, but the other 10 rounds, Canelo was lost. See it for yourself.

Posted July 13, 2014 11:45 pm

Lara got robbed?? Bla bla bla…. BS, Only person to blame for Laras Loss is himself!! This is prizefighting, not a tickling contest. You can’t win a fight going backwards all night. Don’t get me wrong, the fight was close, but Lara didn’t do enough to win, he fought like a complete amateur!!

Posted July 13, 2014 10:07 pm

LOl Lion King you can not turn sh!t into GOLD no matter how hard you (lionking) try ………….Lara schooled Canelo …..Saul was made to look inept last night …….Swinging MISSING ALL NIGHT ……..LMAO ………

Tumbo admit DelaHoya lost to Trinidad

I guess we can all agree that Vegas Judges do not like fighters who don’t come to fight like Delahoya and Lara..
Who Run all night long like Delahoya and Lara, who just throw ineffective Jabs like Delahoya.. actually Laras Jabs where busting up Canelo all night long.. LOL what idiotas…

Tumbo admit DelaHoya lost to Trinidad

Nothing Funnier then listening to these Mexicans claim Lara lost because he Ran all night long, Didn’t want to fight Canelo, just Jabbed and did nothing to Canelo so obviously Canelo won!!!!! they’re also clearly admitting and making the case for why Tito Trinidad clearly beat DelaRunner because Oscar Ran all night long, didn’t come to fight, did nothing to Trinidad as he back peddled using an inneffective Jab for the first 6 rounds then Flat out Ran for his Life… got to love it.. Fernando Vargas was correct, Oscar is not a real Mexican because real Mexicans do not run… ROFLMAO..

Posted July 13, 2014 7:36 pm

BEARS my friend, I’m not a fan of runners either, but you have to give Lara more credit. He fought a very good fight landing clean effective punches throughout the fight. Canelo’s head was bouncing all over the place. He was desperate on more than a few occasions as he swung for the fences and missed by a mile. Sure he landed some good body shots, but they were in no way enough to win him the fight. Lara faced looked like he just came out of a modeling shoot. He was rarely touched throughout the 12 rounds. The Canelo crowd while cheering for Canelo and booing Lara obviously made a big impression on those judges, especially the blind drunk one that had it 111-117 for Canelo. And of course Lara could have and should have thrown a bit more, but that was part of his defense, and defense counts in scoring a fight. It’s up to Canelo to come up with a strategy to stop Lara, and he couldn’t. Lara shouldn’t be penalized for doing what many other boxers do like Floyd Mayweather. The criteria for judging and the judges themselves have to be on the same page. You cannot have one judge liking the puncher style more than the boxing style because it’s a bias and he’s going to score it for the puncher instead of going by the criteria he has been given to score a fight with. Something has to be done. Just look at the scoring criteria: Clean Punching, Effective Aggressiveness, Ring Generalship and defense. If a judge has knowledge and understanding of this criteria, there is no way possible Canelo won that fight. And like I said, I like Canelo, and think he has a great future, but he lost last night.

DelaRunner lost to Trinidad

I made Lara feel good in the locker room after the fight. But I must confess I couldnt help but betray Lara by going after Canelo’s jockstrap.

DelaRunner lost to Trinidad

At last these Chihuahuas like te tumbo are all in agreement.. You cannot win a fight by Running all night long.. by ineffective Jabs.. by not fighting your opponent Mano a Mano pretty much finally admitting that Delahoya Lost to the Great Tito Trinidad.. Yeap, Lara, like Delahoya did not deserve to win, Lara like Delahoya were running all night long.. Lara like Delahoya threw ineffective Jabs.. Yeap we can all now Agree!!! DelaRunner Lost to Tito Trinidad.. thanks Tumbo.. I knew one Day you’d understand… ROFLMAO…

Lara Made Canelo look like the Plodding slow as Mollases tough man Brawler that we all know he is.. at the place I saw the fight everyone was laughing every time Lara Landed those straight shots to Canelos face, Canello was confused and missing shots wildly.. Canelo never dropped Lara, seriously hurt Canelo nonthing.. Just look at Canelos face it was all puffy and Red… Lara got Robbed and every true Boxing Fan including the Showtime Talking heads and one honest Judge had lara easily beating Canelo.. Only delusional Mexicans say Canelo won that fight.. Canelo looked as bad as he did vs Mayweather.. it was another sh!t performance by Cinnabum..

Posted July 13, 2014 1:05 pm

JOKER, Yes, you are correct that GAMBOA wobbled the wheels off of Crawford in the 9th, but what was really galling to me is the fact that GAMBOA has been on the deck, what 7 or 8 times and he does not have the sense to ever stay down for the count of 8, check himself and his corner and regroup before getting up… It could well have saved him especially in those late rounds…

Nope, he jumped up like a Jack-in-the-box and then waded in to his attacker. He only had moments to survive late in the 8th and the 9th and a seasoned pro should at his stage be checking in with the corner for time and then hold like a limpet for the bell.

Once you’re knocked down you won’t lose any more points for fiddling through to the bell, but to engage and with your chin up in the air is the tactics of a suicidal, imbecile, because it leaves you bashed up, taking unnecessary punishment!

For these reasons I was not impressed with The Guantanama Cyclone.

He started the fight boxing and going to the body and then when Crawford made changes he started swinging….Damn, he had half the fight still to make his own adjustments, but either couldn’t or wouldn’t.

Crawford’s devastating last punch, the uppercut was more a counter to the marauding Gamboa than a set up punch. He damn near walked straight onto it, swing for the fences!

Last night was more a cerebral match of move, counter move, play, play-fake and counter-play.
It may well not have been pretty, but I enjoyed seeing both men trying to out think and outsmart each other…. There was tremendous pressure on both as the rewards for the victor are huge!!!

The Canelo loss list, Part#1

Canelo loses to the following fighters:

Mayweather – L
Lara – L
Trout – Draw

GGG – L (KO)
Cotto – L
Pacquiao – L
Andrade – L
Thurman – L

Canelo cannot deal with boxers. Honestly, the reinvented Cotto will knock Canelo down. GGG will knock him out. Pacquiao would out point him. Andrade might even stop Canelo. He’s too flat-footed and one dimensional. He’s a come forward Mexican slugger-fighter with no lateral movement. Any disciplined boxer-puncher who knows how to throw straight punches and step to the left away from the left hook, can beat Canelo easily.

The key to beating Canelo is to have enough pop in your straight shots to slow down his forward momentum. Another key is to not stay too long in the pocket. Throw your shots. Then step away.

Canelo needs to improve on his movement. Honestly, for his style, I would put him with Freddie Roach. If he doesn’t improve, Dela Hoya will have to pay more judges in the future.

Posted July 13, 2014 10:01 am

keep it real

I picked Lara, thought Lara won. No problem with the decision based on the style that judges prefer. Canelo is overrated and will never be a superstar fighter, A VERY good fighter yes but not a superstar. Put him in front of a slick boxer and he will look foolish put him in front of A tomato can AND he will look like a p4p and you be able to fool non boxing fans but not the real fans.

JOKER, I didn’t think either fight was a great fight… GAMBOA was swinging for the fences after 4 rounds, but at least in last night’s fight the outcome was not a foregone conclusion and there were ebbs and flows through the 12. This was 2 men at more or less their proper fighting weights, whereas GAMBOA had been 1 fight in about 30 months and stepping up 2 divisions, giving away height and reach and power as well as a suspect chin! Did you really believe GAMBOA could win after 4?

Posted July 13, 2014 8:02 am

I agree with you GUS. also, I’ve never seen Floyd move like Lara. Lara didn’t stand his ground one time. When he tried, he got out of harms way.

Posted July 13, 2014 7:49 am

I had it 115-113 Lara i felt lara cleaner punches like those jabs n left hands that swelled canela eye in 2 rounds yeah canelo landed body shots but a lot where amplified by the crowd cheered for evrything he threw as for going against cotto canlela will be destroyed

Posted July 13, 2014 7:48 am

It *COULD* have been a great fight. easily. but it turned sour for me after seeing lara not willing to risk it even a little by firing more shots. In the end it was a huge disappointment but your mileage may vary of course

Posted July 13, 2014 7:46 am

Joker I agree. I gotta give Canelo credit though I thought Lara would be able to show a bigger difference. Great fight man thats what boxings suppose to be lets see how the best vs the best unfolds.

Posted July 13, 2014 7:44 am

TJ you are tripping. Alvarez vs Lara was a disgraceful fight by both men

Posted July 13, 2014 7:42 am

ALVAREZ vs LARA IMHO was a far more interesting and better fight than CRAWFORD vs GAMBOA the other week. I though Terrence had that fight in the bag after 4 rounds…

Lara was on top after 4 and I was shocked at how poor Canelo was at cutting the ring off after him… in fact, he didn’t even try and cut the ring off content to amble after him and catch shots as he did so…

It’s clear to me that Canelo does have a stamina problem as there were times I was shouting at the screen to let his hands go, but he wouldn’t or couldn’t.

Not once in the first 10 rounds did he even attempt to fire his 5-6 punch combos, even though there were times he’d landed and more follow ups were in order… Only in the last did he land a 6 punch salvo to the body in the early stages of the last round.

Lara looked real good after 4 and confident, but he made an error in my mind of backing up, instead of sliding from side to side. His punches were accurate, but he seemed to lose his focus after getting cut for 3 or 4 rounds and never, really cemented himself on the fight though the championship rounds although he landed some real stingers in the last.

I would like to see a return as this was close… 115-113 was a good score…. 117-111 was totally ridiculous.

Lara deserves a couple big fights, but must adopt the side-to-side movement, rather than backtrack and he needs to employ the jab more often. Any thoughts of GGG must now be shelved, forever. He doesn’t have the firepower to hold him off for more than 6 rounds…

Canelo can either go for the rematch or entertain Andrade… But, he needs to find the weight where he is most effective, learn to slip more and employ that jab… Can’t argue with his body punches though!!!

Posted July 13, 2014 7:36 am

What I find most frustrating about this fight is, it was really Lara’s fight to lose. He had an immense speed advantage but squandered it by not throwing enough shots. Even if he threw double the shots he did I still don’t think he would have exposed himself to Canelo’s shots. Lara threw it away. (even though he still arguably won). Lara outlanded Canelo in headshots landed by a mile usually judges dont give a fk about body shots, but this time apparently they did.

Canelo sucks. Lara sucks. Lets move on.

Of course SC the undisputed champion keyboard warrior forgot to mention he is Mexican when it suits him and watched the fight through his bias rose coloured Canelo 3D glasses. No doubt Cotto will trounce this over rated, very limited, flat footed, decision gifted, joke of an athlete.

Posted July 13, 2014 5:05 am

Bad Lefthook

The scores are going to be debated, the winner will be debated. Canelo Alvarez took a split decision win over Erislandy Lara tonight on Showtime PPV.

Canelo Alvarez got the duke tonight over Erislandy Lara, but there’s some controversy, as is often the case, though at least this time, it appeared there was a solid argument for either man to win. Official scores were 115-113 and 117-111 for Canelo, and 115-113 for Lara. BLH had it 115-113 for Lara, while Showtime’s Steve Farhood had 115-113 for Lara, as well.

The fight saw several rounds that could have been called swing rounds, as I personally had at least five rounds of the 12 that I felt could have gone either way. I shaded toward Lara, who landed some crisp shots, but absolutely did “run” for much of the fight, while Canelo landed a lot of solid body shots along the way.

Neither Canelo (43-1-1, 31 KO) nor Lara (19-2-2, 12 KO) were particularly effective on offense, as Canelo swung and missed badly several times, while Lara sort of laid back more than you’d like to see. It’s arguable that the fight was “stolen” from Lara. It’s also arguable that Lara gave the fight away by not being more proactive.

Both fighters said they believed they’d won the fight when asked the hard-hitting question, “Do you think you won the fight?” by Showtime’s investigative journalist Jim Gray. Lara said he felt he controlled the fight and made Canelo look bad. Before that, Canelo said he’d give Lara a rematch “when he learns to fight,” saying that fights in the pro game in America are not won with running, and that he didn’t let his hands go enough. Canelo did say, though, that he respected Lara. Lara added that Canelo’s body shots had “no force,” though they did connect.

This is certainly going to be debated in the coming days, so how did you score it?

I love boxing, I can’t get mad at the boxers, they do there job then you got these judges. What are some of these judges drinking or smoking before these fights, idk maybe as my dad would say, they smoking some of them left hand cig, drunk, something because they have misjudged a few fights of late. I kn they do it so much its like we already know some fighter ate going to lose before the fight start, what a shame, what a blackeye again! To a sport that don’t need any help getting worse. I’m sayin whenever the judges get ready to score a fight let them know before the fight ever start, wks before. If you mis judge this fight and a kid can tell you the real winner, they not getting paid for that fight and the lose the right to judge any fight besides the ones in there own home. No judging any fight for 5 yrs at Max! No less than 3 yrs .Just maybe boxing can get that one part fix. A lot of BS going around and its not Mr. F, Money Mayweather. Let’s please stop! Trying to point the finger and everyone do the right thing and boxing can be wonderful! WBO, WBC, Holding boy, Al, get this part right and keep working but start with these good for nothing, can’t see judges please!!! Ty.

Alvarez didn’t win the decision, the judges gave him a present.

I picked Canelo, but honestly, I thought Lara won. He landed the cleaner shots and had Canelo missing by miles. Yes Canelo landed some body shots, but not nearly enough to win many rounds. Lara used great ring generalship and IMO won this fight 8 rounds to 4. Boxing is the hit and not get hit sport. Mayweather does this and wins every single fight even though he’s lost 3-4 of them IMO. He does have Al Haymon and is a resident of Las Vegas, so it’s predictable that he will always get the nod. Canelo won this fight just as Mayweather wins his, and that is because he is GBP Cash cow, the young lion that has a big following and is making the cross over to the USA fans. He’s the young heart throb for the young ladies. Just as Oscar was, just as Julio Cesar Chavez Sr was, He brings in plenty of money to Las Vegas and with Floyd’s run coming to an end, they need the next star attraction. Boxing is corrupt. It’s no longer about who has the better skills, but who has the bigger promoter and who is more marketable. And as always, the judges by some miracle always play their cards just right so to make it seem like it’s a fair but difficult decision. I guess the 111-117 scorecard was already filled out before the final verdict. Sad to see this happen, and it always happens in Las Vegas. Lara won this fight if you score the fight without bias and use the correct criteria. The numbers even favor Lara. I feel bad for Lara. They should have at least scored it a draw and saved face.
