Hope Sammy puts home town ducking ref buying Sturm out.. Sam beat him fair and square and a dodgy German drug tester ( Sturm’ wife I think ) took the shine off it.Posted May 28, 2014 11:24 pm
By the number of your postings, I have to say it’s proven that you care a lot about the fight, Anonymouse.Posted May 28, 2014 12:59 pm
Absolutely gutted for him against Winky Wright
DMX: I met Sam at Kostya’s gym too when Tszyu was preparing for the 2nd Mithcell bout. He trained liked a man possessed, didn’t see him spar Kostya, instead saw Tszyu pound Chop Chop Corley for 3 out of 5 rounds, it was like being at ringside for a real fight as Corley came out swinging for real for the first two rounds connecting well and Kostya sparred in a very measured way until the 3rd. Corley didn’t to start the 6th and last scheduled round. Sam came an introduced himself after the session and chatted to me like I was his long lost mate. Sam’s a very decent bloke who will fight anyone, anywhere so I’m hoping he finally wins the big one, he deserves it. PS: An interesting day at Tszyu’s gym that day as I met Angelo Dundee, who was there with “Cranky” Russell Crowe, in preparation for his role in “Cinderella Man”. Angelo was a thorough gentleman and an absolute pleasure to chat to. Crowe was very grumpy and rejected a lot people’s attempt to enegage him in conversation. Came across as a real wanker!Posted May 27, 2014 5:20 pm

Sturm learned how to rob from de la Hoya! And Soliman is one tough guy, I think the chances to win this fight are 60 Sturm – 40 Soliman.Posted May 27, 2014 1:07 pm

Remember meeting Sam Soliman years ago when he was in Kostya Tzyus gym sparing him
Never seen someone train so hard throughout the afternoon and still spare time after to show, teach and tutor some of the younger fighters in the gym
Thin Sam would be the first to admit his conditioning and desire to win have got him as far as a raw ability or natural talent
We are all proud of you Sammy!!
Sammy, you have worked so hard for many, many years!! The title is yours mate!!! You deserve it!! A huge inspiration to Australians!! Your heart will get u over the line in this one!! No one has the ticker u have!! King Sammy!!!Posted May 27, 2014 7:13 am

@BBO: I agree. If Sturm looks good, that is: better than in years, I will definitely watch him again; could be agood one.Posted May 27, 2014 3:12 am
Bo Bo Olson
We will see I think a much more ‘finally’ in shape Strum takes this. He’s been closer to weight, in the last year or so, so can train more, not having to drain him self making weight.
I do know Strum beat DHL, so forgotten by Anonymous. (Three American Judges.) Sammy won last time. This time I think Strum will win. He has the better jab, has been more energetic the last few fights where he is not weight drained.
It should be a good fight.
THATS RIGHT ARE YOU SERIOUS/Posted May 26, 2014 11:48 pm

Bum fights are more relevant than this joke of a match between two way past it guys who were never contenders to begin with. Who caresPosted May 26, 2014 7:04 pm
Interesting fight, I’m inclined to go with Soliman, as long as he keeps to the game plan as before.Posted May 26, 2014 6:51 pm
