Hahahahaha junior just spat his dummy again. Don’t pretend you know anything about boxing because you clearly don’t!

3 years ago I would have went with Gamboa over almost anyone. These days this guy fights almost never against nobodys. I think Crawford will take this fight, note to future fighter, 50 cent promotions is where you sign to kill your career.

Boxing has been producing some good matches lately keep it up..f****** love the sport

Whatever Gamboa is taking it hurts him more than helps him. He’s laid up with some injury or complaint half the time. WTF is wrong with him? Terence should hope Yori takes more of that crap, whatever it is. Crawford should ignore all the PED rumors and just beat tamales out of Gamboa that he never ate.

Posted May 8, 2014 2:00 am

Fight Aficionado

Good fight but Crawford needs to have Gamboa tested for that concoction of various PEDs that Florida drug tank Biogenesiswas giving him.

gamboa will still be around in 5 years. still kicking tires as always, and looking like he could be the best if he ever got his schtick together.

Posted May 8, 2014 12:03 am

te tumbo

i’m fatigued with waiting for Gamboa to emerge from the pack. he’s actually got space to make up and displays no urgency to campaign for serious contention in a division. any division(?!). once-a-year for a 32-year-old(?!) ain’t cutting it for me. he either displays some breakaway talent or he can forget about anybody remembering him in a year.

@Who knows.., You’re the idiot.. Who gives a crap if nobody knows who’s going to win? That doesn’t mean they don’t know who’s likely to win — and it doesn’t mean their analysis isn’t dead on the money or pretty damned close.

If you lack the courage and expertise to pick winners, don’t try. Easy solution.

BTW.. Although nobody knows for sure who’s going to win any given fight, if you’re a manager or matchmaker for one or more professional boxers you better match them right… They’re not going to make a lot of money if you have zero expertise in experience, styles, and matchups.

Good fight. I agree gamboa should not be at that weight, but still it should be a good one..
I will have a seat to see it. If Gamboa has not changed much his style and plus i go for him by ko

What a cracking fight, I thought Gamboa would have been pushing for P4P number 1 by now when he first went pro but the guy seems lazy and is turning into a wasted talent. To me he is fighting far above the weight he should be

Posted May 7, 2014 8:47 am

Who knows

To all the people who wrote Crawford wins or Gamboa wins, you are idiots. If you don’t have an intelligent comment to make, please don’t write anything. This is boxing, no one knows for certain who is going to win so please let’s use ESB comment section for something true boxing fans enjoy reading.

By the way PEEJ is the worst, he picked Collazo to win over Khan.

Scott look back at the betting odds pal. Donaire was a HUGE favourite to win that fight, and thats a FACT. That fight cemented Rigos reputation. Before hand there were questions about wether or not he could be as good a pro as he was an amateur.

Posted May 7, 2014 3:15 am

Anonymouse, as weve gone over before, i was wrong about Cleverly/Kovalev, Burns/Crawford, and Donaire/Rigo. Thats some long list aint it!

Hopkins was beat by Jones SO Gamboa has a slim chance here. Crawford has the GREATER chance. IF its anything close to even money bet your money on Crawford.

Posted May 6, 2014 8:29 pm

Crawford stops Gamboa unless Gamboa runs all night and does not engage. Then Crawford wins by decision.

Posted May 6, 2014 7:41 pm

Gamboa has a superior foot movement, greater punching power, is the more active fighter in the ring, throws a higher volume of punches, and the experience he posseses will make a big difference in this fight. And by the way, ¿do you know how many sparring session Gamboa and Rigondeaux have had in the past? There is nothing new that Crawford brings to this fight, that Gamboa hasn´t seen before.

Posted May 6, 2014 7:19 pm

This is a great fight… I think Crawford will outbox Gamboa, but he best not get too flamboyant at any time.

TC lacks power, just like Floyd Mayweather lacks power. Gamboa’s speed and power are unreal, but he can be outboxed and outsmarted by a crafty technician.

Posted May 6, 2014 6:53 pm

good fight!

Posted May 6, 2014 4:55 pm

Gamboa is going to be outclassed.

Posted May 6, 2014 3:40 pm

jumior once again gets it wrong, he has a long history of picking the wrong winner. Crawford will win on points.

Posted May 6, 2014 3:38 pm

Crawford wins

Posted May 6, 2014 3:35 pm

Yeah I would have prefer Mikey but I’m not going to complain. Fights like this should be made more often.

Posted May 6, 2014 3:28 pm

What happen to Mickey Garcia??? Was he not supposed to go fight Gamboa???

Posted May 6, 2014 3:01 pm

Good fight…Gamboa has the background and skill set…Crawford not as tested, still unknown to a point. My pick would be Gamboa,a guy who is the real deal!!!

Posted May 6, 2014 2:14 pm

Killing Moon The Soothsayer

Interesting fight…Crawford is quite unproven (Yeah, I know Burns..But c’mon..) and Gamboa might have some ring-rust.

If Gamboa wins it will show he was everything, he always seemed to be..(Which has been questioned)

If Crawford wins, he’s catapulted into Stardom..(To have even a ud over Gamboa makes a career)

Either way this is win/win for the boxers and the fans…So gotta say it’s a fantastic match-up..

Posted May 6, 2014 1:14 pm

Crawford beats Gamboa in this one. He’s on a roll and is getting better. He can match speed and technical boxing with Gamboa, and his ambidextrous fighting style will make a big difference. Crawford is young, hungry and handles the spot light well. He’s the next fighter in line to dominate.

50 50 fight. Think gamboa has the experience and power speed and punchs to take care of crawford. But who knows till they mix it up.

Martin “El Bruchador” Honorio

This fight is very very very good because the two are evenly match! You’ll never gonna know what’s gonna happen.

Posted May 6, 2014 12:06 pm

This should be the mayweather mosley early 2000!

Posted May 6, 2014 12:00 pm

Good match up styles make fights the question i have is gamboa can he close that distance with some fast footwork if he can he can give major problems ..crawford more boxer will try to keep it long seen his fight did not look great

Posted May 6, 2014 11:46 am

Gamboa has not been fighting, he could have some ring rust, he might be a gym rat so we shall see.

Posted May 6, 2014 11:38 am

Im kinda surprised at the reaction here. I think its a good match up but i wasnt impressed with Crawford when he beat Ricky Burns. Gamboa on the other hand is a beast IMO

Posted May 6, 2014 11:29 am

Great fight, and a tough one to pick,
although tempted to go with Gamboa, as he is the more experienced.
Crawford has massive potential but is still to be proven in the very top flight.

Posted May 6, 2014 11:28 am

Due to the styles involved, this will be more of a technical fight than a free swinging brawl. I’ll take Crawford by UD.

Posted May 6, 2014 11:18 am

Can’t wait

Posted May 6, 2014 10:58 am

Looking forward to this fight.
