Thane – you have to understand Billy comes on here and regularly insults anyone who is Anonymous. He’s an idiot and I suspect he’s still at school. He never makes sensible comments about boxing because he appears to know nothing about the fight game. All he ever does is act like an idiot.

TJ.., “Froch looks for either SOG or the winner of GGG and Chavez Jnr for his swan song out in Vegas.”

After Carl sees what GGG does to Chavez probably not. And I see him being reluctant to fight Ward again also. I believe Ward would love to fight him in an English soccer stadium anyway — but would rather fight Groves. New face.

I do see Froch beating Groves. It’s a damned risky fight because GG will be flinging big right hands at him. Both are wide open targets who take chances. It’s an interesting fight.

country girl

Learn English Billy. Get the slobber off your face and zip your pants… and wash those hands you filthy twitching swine.

Posted April 26, 2014 11:47 am

DMX, it will serve him right if FROCH kicks his can in front of his home crowd at Wembley. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Carl tosses the IBF belt back for Groves to scrap over with DEGALE as the booby prize, whilst he looks for either SOG or the winner of GGG and Chavez Jnr for his swan song out in Vegas.

If Groves gets KO’d in this one . . .
He will look such a c*nt

All the interviews, and moaning and groaning
The riding around in buses, the chat shows , the celebrity circuit,
opening sports shops. . . Having a moan, opening bookmakers having a groan . . .

He has put the pressure on himself

If he loses, no Rematch . . . No Da Gale match . . .
Suicide is the only option for his honour

Something brutal sudden and final
Gotta be standing infront of the London to Nottingham in gloves, mouth guard & wanky dressing gown

Posted April 26, 2014 9:40 am

TARK you little queer, I told you to shut up.

Posted April 25, 2014 8:50 pm

Sometimes you just get a matchup that works… This one does. The promoters are hoping it’s inconclusive so a 3rd fight will be made.

Ward is hoping Groves flattens Froch like an iceberg, so he can come to jolley ‘ol.

Posted April 25, 2014 6:57 pm

Hey, TARK. You may well be right. The funny thing is Howard Foster was the ref when Groves fought DEGALE. They showed a replay of that fight again last night, so I don’t think it was fixed, just a very premature stoppage on the night, which has inadvertently made all parties (FROCH, Groves and especially EDDIE HEARN) very decent pay days!

Posted April 25, 2014 6:27 pm

… “Until the ref steps in to save him from further punishment!”

The referee won’t be stepping in. He’ll want to give Groves every possible opportunity to come back — because he cried robbery so loud about the early stoppage.

The only things stopping this fight are a 10-count, a chief second in either corner, or the bell ending the 12th round.

Posted April 25, 2014 6:23 pm

old timer

well said TJ boxing isn’t what it used to be in the old days. I prefered it when it was 15 rounds. Marvin Hagler would have beat both these fellows on the same night.

Posted April 25, 2014 4:19 pm

Watched FROCH on Sky TV, yesterday and he sounds relaxed and at peace and happy in himself. I’m hoping training is going well as if he just ignores the p***k’s attempts at winding him up I believe be will really hurt Groves in the rematch.
We were always taught to let the little runts pick and poke as much as they like because come fight time all the talk in the world means diddly squat.
FROCH should just zone out when Groves starts yapping and visualise exactly what he intends to do to him from the sound of the first bell until the ref steps in to save him from further punishment!
What disappoints me most is the amount of turncoat, so-called plastic fans who have switched their allegiance, because they always want to dine out with the winner.
I always thought you supported your guy through the ups and the downs?
Oh, well. The Twitter/Facebook generation has a lot to answer for.
Should call themselves FADS rather than fans!

Posted April 25, 2014 3:45 pm

I don’t see this fight going the distance. If groves hurts froch early this time he will finish him once and for all. The longer the fight goes the better it is for froch. Groves needs to do exactly the same strategy as before but be a bit smarter in his use of his energy. Groves by tko 5th rd

Posted April 25, 2014 1:44 pm

DMX- ginger haired naan bread! That is both sick, descriptively perfect and hilarious…

Posted April 25, 2014 9:53 am

Groves will get a wake up call this time around. He fought the fight of his life and executed perfectly on a sub standard Froch. This time,Froch will be totally prepared, but I can’t see how Groves can improve on last time, unless he darts in and out and tries to nick it with some shoe shining.

Posted April 25, 2014 9:51 am

Groves by UD.

Posted April 25, 2014 8:49 am

To be fair
Until I could get a proper grip on him and hold him securely
He probably was getting the better of it
1500 Scratches prove that

However now that he resembles a ginger haired naan bread
A rematch is out of the question . . .

Posted April 25, 2014 7:47 am

Froch can’t fight as badly again and Groves will struggle to perform to that level again so expect a close fight with Froch outlasting Groves and stopping him late. Those that are predicting and early/easy KO for Groves obviously didn’t notice that Groves hit Froch so often in the first fight but still couldn’t put him away and ignore the fact that despite the stoppage being premature Froch was coming on strong.

Posted April 25, 2014 7:37 am

DMX. The cat was robbed. The public demands you give it a rematch and pay it several £m. It was clearly just getting its breath back while you were beating it and would have gone on to win the fight if given a fair chance.

Posted April 25, 2014 7:27 am

DMX – That’s probably the best thing I’ve ever read…ever. Pissing myself.

Posted April 25, 2014 6:11 am

Neil (pomy)

Groves was robbed, the audience was robbed, and even Froch was robbed as if he had gone on to score a legitimate stoppage, we’d all be singing his praises. The judges scoring was terrible to the point of being corrupt and the ref actions were very dubious.

Posted April 25, 2014 4:53 am

Neil (pomy)

I like both guys but last time the fix was in ….. no way was Froch ahead on points at the time of the stoppage …. and the ref stopped the fight far too early. Was premature stoppage I have seen in decades. I don’t care who wins as long as it is a good fight and a fair one.

Posted April 25, 2014 4:51 am

One of my neighbours has a big fat ginger cat

This week I made a tiny little brown suit
Then last night at 2.00am I put this little tiny brown suit on his cat

I then pretended it was George Groves annoying me and beat it to death with a house brick

Sorry . . . .

“Froch retires ungracefully” absolutely bang on 100%

Can’t wait to see Groves flatten Froch and shut his stupid arrogant mouth once and for all.

Posted April 25, 2014 2:36 am

groves has lied to himself and every other boxing fan that’s gullible enough to believe he wasn’t hurt was able to continue and in a position to defend himself he was well and truly spent and should be thanking his lucky stars the fight was stopped two punches prematurly he’s been gifted a second bite of the cherry !

Posted April 25, 2014 2:34 am

Dan D

This is going to be another good fight. I think Froch will be the slight bookies favourite but I’m picking Groves by decision.

Posted April 25, 2014 2:22 am

Froch retires ungracefully, but he retires all the same and Groves becomes a man.

Posted April 24, 2014 11:39 pm

Biggest fight in May

Froch was going to finish Groves off if the ref had not intervened, Groves should think himself lucky really, he has got a return fight against Froch and will be well paid.

Posted April 24, 2014 8:54 pm

Ayatollah Khan

The first fight was an absolute farce, if Groves hadn’t have got jobbed by that joke referee he would have probably been robbed on the scorecards, appallingly bias playing field. I had Froch winning around two rounds and Groves scored the knockdown but Groves was only one round up. Lol. Fans should have been reimbursed.

Hope to see Ward fight away from home soon.

Biggest fight in May

Froch by late stoppage round 10-12.

Posted April 24, 2014 6:42 pm

Anonymous my foreskin knows more about boxing than you.

Posted April 24, 2014 6:41 pm

Groves KO’s Froch this time. This fight will be over fast. Groves won’t let Froch off the hook this time. Groves is much faster and clearly has the power to stop Froch. If it wasn’t for the fact that there was only 20 seconds to go in the first round Froch would of been KO’d. Next time, when Groves nails Froch, he will finish him off. Then watch Froch grovel after the fight and ask for a third fight.

Posted April 24, 2014 6:22 pm

Groves by split decision. Think groves is a more complete boxer than Froch. Froch has a better chin but don’t think that will be enough this time. Who ever wins please no controversy

Posted April 24, 2014 6:10 pm

Not these two Brit dopes again.

Posted April 24, 2014 6:08 pm

One whiff of that breath will knock Froch down.

I belive Froch will still have enough in his gas tank to get the win.Plus Froch will not take this fight lightly at all,he now knows Groves is a legit fighter.

Posted April 24, 2014 2:34 pm

Carl the tosser, hardly anyone in the UK likes him. He’s a deluded moron. Hope Groves wipes him out for good.

Posted April 24, 2014 2:21 pm

looks like groves goes to the same barber as fury.

Posted April 24, 2014 2:20 pm

George Groves all the way. It is time for a changing of the guard. GG will have learnt from his mistakes last time and his style is all wrong for Carl.
