He’s got damned good boxing skills and sharp punches.Posted April 15, 2014 2:46 am
Canelo will probably fight until 2027. He’ll get a lot better because he’s a thinker. He’ll probably peak about 2021.
I think he loses this one though.Posted April 14, 2014 11:38 pm
Lara is overrated. Alverez UD.Posted April 14, 2014 9:53 pm
Fight Af is spot on. It’s been a while since a challenge has been taken up between 2 top guys in the division. I don’t mean match making, I mean a verbal challenge offered and that challenge being accepted and then the fight being made between camps. This is good for boxing.Posted April 14, 2014 9:52 pm

Although he lost to Mayweather, I am a huge fan of Canelo, he’s young, very young and he has beaten may top contenders in the Ring, A win over Lara will make non believers , beievers. This is good for boxing and the spirit of competition as I feel that champions or future champs should fight all top contenders.. This young man will go very far in this sport and also, he’ll be one very young and wealthy young man when his career is finished…
Ok, now it looks like Canelo is growing some balls however, Angulo gave Lara a tough fight.Posted April 14, 2014 9:09 pm

Good fight. I will be ordering this one.Posted April 14, 2014 8:51 pm
For once a fighter called someone out, the other guy said let’s do it, and a fight got made. Bigups to both guys for stepping up. A good evenly matched fight here.Posted April 14, 2014 6:41 pm
“Lara by SCHOOL HOUSE Decision.”
Oh look! Sissydamus is mewing!Posted April 14, 2014 5:59 pm
If Lara dominates, he’ll have a nice platform to call Floyd out. Floyd Mayweather is the champ at 154 — not Gennady Golovkin.
I want to see Lara-Mayweather. After he beats Floyd he can fight GGG.Posted April 14, 2014 5:02 pm
Un-Fking-believable.., Canelo is a guy who makes his own decisions I guess. I believe Lara should have done the Ishe Smith fight anyway.
He’d get rid of Ishe quick … and that would be a great warmup for Canelo… Even if it went 12 Ishe wouldn’t hit him anyway, so he could fight July 12th with no problems.
This way his last action came against a feather hitting southpaw.Posted April 14, 2014 4:57 pm
Canelo stepped up to the plate unlike Duckerlovkin. This is good match upPosted April 14, 2014 4:42 pm
same as the rest.Posted April 14, 2014 3:18 pm
I wouldn’t be surprised if Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer tried to talk Canelo out of fighting Lara due to the high possibility that Lara will expose him as bad as Mayweather did…
Jeff Sorby, who is this writer?are you serious?stop writer this stupid articles and dumb point of views…..this man cant be serious. How the hell did you make it on esb as a writer?Posted April 14, 2014 3:11 pm
This is gonna be a good fight. No matter what- Canelo is strong and he can box. l know there will be moments when Lara will wanna brawl with Canelo but l know Canelo will have a victorious outcome and then what will all the doubters say then? Alvarez is going to reign for a long time!Posted April 14, 2014 9:43 am
Big ups to Canelo for taking the fight this kid is a rare throwback fighter caus he fights anyone, the match up with Lara should be interesting because Lara is super slick and crafty, while Canelo packs a punch and can also counter punch very well but at the end styles make fights yes lara struggled with angulo and Canelo didn’t but Canelo struggled with trout and lara didnt so styles make fightsPosted April 14, 2014 9:42 am
Well YOU don’t remember but I DO. MY memory is like an ELEPHANT’S. I remember TARK touting Khan TOO. I always knew that China CHINNED Bambi LEGGED NON Defensive CHUMP was no match vs the ELITE.

Tark was red hot for Saul thats for sure …. Never really heard him praise Trout but Canelo ??? I would not be surprised if Tarks walls are shrine to Saul ……….
Posted April 13, 2014 11:54 pm
TARK also o gasmed all over Canelo and tried to convince us the fight was exciting, when it was dull, dull, dull and that Canelo schooled his former idol Trout, when we know it was closer than him and Canelo, when they love clinch!Posted April 14, 2014 8:41 am
Great fight! Looking forward to that!Posted April 14, 2014 7:13 am
I think canelo scraps past Lara but there’s no point in rematching MayweatherPosted April 14, 2014 5:41 am
v town vet…
If he beats lara……& with no may vs pac in sight…..I can see money may vs canloII…..Posted April 14, 2014 4:16 am
Canelo is going to have major problems against Lara. Don’t think because Lara had some difficulties with Angulo that Canelo is going to beat him easy. Lara is a well rounded fighter that has a very sharp southpaw style. He will create and find openings in this fight. The jab is going to land, and the straight left hand is going to land often. Canelo is a counter puncher that will have to bring pressure on Lara to have any chance of winning, and Lara has solid defense. Lara will be much better off fighting a guy that actually has boxing skills. Angulo would give anyone problems because he has no style. He doesn’t slip, parry, counter or box. He brings wild come forward pressure and that’s it. He is strong, and every once in awhile, his punches end up connecting. Canelo is a totally different fighter that is tailor made for Lara. Expect a good fight, but you will see Lara dominate canelo and wear him out in the later rounds. Canelo has stamina problems. He loads up on the majority of his punches, which makes him telegraph many of them. Canelo won’t have enough. Eryslandy Lara wins by majority decision or late round stoppage.Posted April 14, 2014 1:34 am
Interested in seeing Lara for the first time.Posted April 14, 2014 1:30 am
