The truth can tend to hurt. Sometimes, the most bitter pill to swollow is the best medicine.

IMO- This fight is wayyy to dangerous for Froch’s management to set up. I think Team Froch avoids this fight at all costs like the plague. Tommy is real, he’s a well rounded, very tall, energetic, granite chinned fighter that has by no means taken the easy route. This guy most likely claps everyone in the weight class for sure (with the only possible exception being Ward).

Froch’s preferred opponent is Mikkel Kessler, but I hear nothing but good things about Oosthuizen. Hopefully this guy can test Froch. Froch has 2 defeats on his record to better fighters (Kessler, Ward), however these were away from home.

I’d rather see Oothuizen fight Brian Magee & Froch take on Stieglitz right now.

Personally, I don’t think Pavlik’s power is that great at 168. If he can’t put 2nd/3rd rate fighters to sleep then there’s no chance in hell of even making Froch twitch. Froch would break Pavliks heart and stop him late by ko or cuts to minced up KP face.

I was ringside at Oosthuizen’s fight on Thursday, and it was obvious the kid puts a lot of time into his training. He was in very good physical condition and had a fire in the belly. He’s a very entertaining boxer who can handle opponents from the outside, on the inside, or against the ropes. Nevertheless, “Tommy gun” needs a few more bouts before taking on Froch.

Tommy Gun is an afrikaner guy and the afrikaners are tough like a stone.

Pavlik blocks punches with his face, you’re talking like he’s Pernell Whitaker  The only decent name on Pavlik’s record is Taylor and that was 5 years ago! Froch is champ and Pav laughably wants the fight in America and you’re insinuating Froch is the coward? Nice logic

This is going to be a brilliant fight and I’m going to laugh at all the retards slating it and Oosthuizen when they’re proven wrong. Oosthuizen’s chin is f@cking carved out of granite and he has the size, skills, and ambition to cause anyone in or around his weight range big problems. He’s been matched really tough for a young prospect and so far he’s come through with flying colours. He’s improving all the time too.

Being undefeated is not a positive thing, stop bringing it up like it’s something special.

Much better than the Pavlik fight. Oosthuzien has a great chin, is undefeated, holds the IBO title and has beaten some top ranked contenders on route to a title shot.

Pavlik beat up a few bums and got a DUI.

Oostuzien – Froch would be a good one

Ward is the champion. And what happened to “shutting Pavlik up”? I know…….Noway he was risking it with Pavlik, Froch can’t dodge a right hand to save his life and Pavlik has iced anyone that can’t avoid that beast. That would be an interesting fight, if he trades with Pavlik ala MK………my money is on the true KO puncher.

It’s a tune up, the Bute rematch is set for spring 2013.

I want Froch vs. Pavlik not this.

I thought Froch was set to fight Bute after he fights Kessler again. Don’t know how he’d fit in a fight against this guy?

Boxing Fanatic

hes ready for froch. would be surprised if this fight happens. LOL

Team Oosthuizen want the fight in America in October despite the fact that Hearn has always been adamant that the fight take place in Nottingham in November becuase should Froch win he has to travel to Canada in March. I don’t understand up and comers like Oosthuizen making unreasonable demands when Froch is the champ and the big name.

I’m sure this is just the fight Carl has been looking for!
