Just watched the fight on Youtube, a bit of a snooze fest, neither guy landed too many clean shots, and the 2 knock downs Lepai scored over Boystov were not clean knock downs.
A surprise win for Leapai, but a poor fight almost reminiscent of the Skelton v Sprott ordeals.

My God, Boystov lost to Leapai, too many soft fights against non punchers obviously caught out Boystov, he folds as soon as he comes up against a limited but hard puncher.
Gumboot I got it wrong!

Well down he goea

Fight Aficionado, whilst it’s true Boystov has had hand injuries, I feel he is hiding behind these excuses rather too much.
He had an opportunity to fight Fury, but he ducked him, then he had a chance to fight Chisora and he ducks him…….only to fight Leapai.
Fight Aficianado, Boystov doesn’t really want to fight for a title because he knows full well that he would get pounded for 12 rounds by either K brother.
Should sometime in the future a K brother doesn’t hold one of the four belts then I can see Boystov tentatively putting his hat in the ring although I wouldn’t hold my breath.

GUMBOOT, you really think this is a good contest?
Leapai is very poor defensively, and a skilled boxer like Boystov will breach through in quick time, it’s a no contest.
You also have to factor in that Leapai has never fought outside of Australasia or China, meaning that Boystov will have all the home advantages.
Looks like either a mid to late KO or TKO win for Boystov or easy wide UD by Boystov.

Boystov needs to stop beating around the bush and fight klitschko

I like these second day weigh-ins.Fighters should not be allowed to weigh 15 or more pounds above the division limit on the day they fight. At least putting a 10 pound limit on it is a step in the right direction.

It’s Me, Ernie

Alex looked like he bulked up…

@ afictionado

Man it is because he is to small for wlad. It would look like povetkin part 2… Boytsov is ok but he wont win over wlad. Also i dont like the fact that he is facing b and c level opposition all the time. It is time for him to step up.

Fight Aficionado

Bitingpitbull why? Boytsov is a good skilled heavyweight. Only reason he’s not already fought for a title is constant injuries and surgeries.

Fight Aficionado

Boytsov is not as ripped as usual. Why not? Still I figure he wins by KO.

I never hate on my east europien brothers but Boytsov is a big joke!
I really hope someone will put him out before he will be Nr 1 to face wlad…

Jimmy Hendricks

I think Boytsov and Hernandez win.

Looks like Leapai has trained for his usual 5 rounds. Disappointed.

@Prrt: Wilder wouldn’t match either of these two. They are breathing.

I’m liking this fight. Good contest!

Yoan wins it going away.

Yeah, I like Alekseev, a real gentleman boxer, but I think Hernandez is going to take it. Its going to be
a good, competitive fight, though.
