I said the night Mayweather beat Alvarez. That if Mayweather still dodges Pacquiao (whom I believe will make a statement against Rios in November) but if Mayweather still dodges Pacquiao, he should fight Broner… Because, besides being very similar to Mayweather in nearly every way, “The Problem” has a couple things that could indeed be a problem for Money, such as actually being a bit bulkier than Floyd and I think with a harder punch in both hands… Plus Adrian is not fearful of taking punishment to give it like Floyd is, and would be willing to walk Floyd down. But also has the agility, and foot and handspeed to run Floyd down as needed. Broner could win a narrow SD over Mayweather.Posted October 11, 2013 7:28 pm

Not in the head none, I ain`t a crazy, just a coupla shots in the leg to put em down, and the sheriff will take care of all the paperwork. He said we just make it look like the dumb son of a b**** shoot himself in the leg trying to pull the gun out. That happens a lot with the Mexicans here in Texas.

Simply keep watching after the right hand thumb strike in the 3rd round that sliced open the first cut… Shortly after Lewis grabs Vitali around the neck with his left arm… rips his face with the edge and palm of his right glove while holding Vitali in a headlock, ripping open more and deeper cuts.. Then he works his head into Lewis’s face, doing more damage.. That’s when you really see blood spurt but he also opened a cut in VK’s mouth … That happens with illegal head work, like the inside of Floyd’s mouth was cut by Ortiz.Posted October 10, 2013 12:36 am

I wish people would stop comparing the two stylistically. Aside from the shoulder roll, they hardly resemble each other. Broner has more in common with James Toney than Mayweather, but in reality, Broner is far more stationary than either of them.
IMO, the most apt comparison would actually be to Wrinky Wright with a shoulder roll. Like Winky, Broner stays right in front of you and catches most of your shots on his arms and lands few, but accurate counter shot when he sees an opening. P4P Broner’s shots hurt much more than Winky’s, but that won’t be the case if he stays at welterweight.Posted October 9, 2013 7:07 pm

And Broner is not a younger FM. People think that the shoulder roll and speed are what amkes him a FM prodigy. Differences are, Broner is more offensive minded and has a very leaky defense. I will not be surprised if it happens, but it’s senseless. I’d rather see FM fight the JMM Bradley winner.Posted October 9, 2013 5:58 pm

Sredmond.., I knew Lewis fouled Vitali a lot in the Klitschko fight but I always accepted Lewis as the winner until about 3 years ago.. It wasn’t one year ago like you claim.. I felt legitimate punches might have caused some of the cuts and gave Lewis the benefit of the doubt.. To me, Klitschko lovers just couldn’t deal with the vagaries of Boxing.
Bears kept after me and wanted me to watch some of the action in slow motion.. I relented and watched.. I can’t deny facts.. All the cuts were caused by illegal contact and referee Lou Moret was flagrantly allowing the fouling which he also did for Guerrero-Berto.
I studied LL-VK several times from different angles to see Lou Moret’s viewpoint of the action — and if he simply missed the fouls.. He clearly saw much of the fouling and ignored it.. He didn’t stop the action when he warned Lewis for flagrantly palming Vitali in the face.. That angered me the first time I watched the fight but I dismissed it.. Referees do a lot of stupid things and Moret is on my list of worst referees ever.
I changed my mind eventually.. I don’t do that a lot, but I must admit that fight SHOULD have gone to the scorecards … That makes VK the winner.Posted October 9, 2013 4:40 pm

To suggest that boxers are some how obligated to fight on too long is patently ridiculous… Most do without prompting (Roy Jones) but the ones who move on when it’s time deserve all the credit in the world and Lewis accomplished what FEW WILL EVER DO…. RIGHT NOW Vitali fans like ESB MAGGOT Bears wanna keep Vitali away from David Haye in the worst way after Haye blew Chisora out of the ring and Vitali won back pedaling for 12 rounds…Haye is a Guy who was I believe 210 for his last fight, but 40 pounds of muscle and 5 inches are NOT enough for Klits to get a big payday against a name opponent… Meanwhile these same lames are crying after Lewis went in, gave Vitali a shot, ripped his face off and moved on…Serious clowns!Posted October 9, 2013 3:34 pm
The Kangaroo Court being pandered by ESB dullard and Nuevo Conspiracy Theorist “Tark” is comical because Tark only began these baseless allegations a YEAR ago based on a video provided by none other than fellow idiot BEARS… Tark do you deny this?? This bout is over 10 years old and yet Tark&Co are treating it like the Kennedy assassination or Roswell LMAO!!!! Where are all the articles and outcrys about Lewis using a Boxcutter or sticking his head in Vitalis mouth like Tark suggest below?? Tark wants Lewis retroactively DQed in order to give Klitschko a legacy he NEVER earned in the ring… As our discussions on this website intensified Tark has become increasingly deranged as he colluded OPENLY with a bigot to peddle a version of this bout that did not occur… I take some blame because I have sodomized these two inept thinkers continually with the HARD RESULTS and driven them to madness…..Tark constantly believes he discovers things via his TV and makes up stories he NEVER can substantiate about boxers training camps and states of mind.. If one if his predictions is off he simply says “that’s not what he meant blah, blah, blah…. It’s really pathetic that a grown man has to pretend that the truth is fiction and that fiction is truth…Tarks getting older, his life’s slipping away but he thinks if he can be the man to overturn Lewis. Vs Klits his life will have meaning…. Well that’s NOT gonna happen and your life’s gonna have no meaning Tark… And sadly there was once a time he was a decent poster before he and Bears began giving eachother reach arounds…Posted October 9, 2013 3:25 pm

Hamster.., “Did Lewis illegally rake the inside of Vitali’s mouth too – because he needed a load of stitches in there too?”
That came courtesy of LL’s head work… Mayweather was cut inside his mouth by illegal head use also. The head is not a legal weapon in boxing. Holding and hitting isn’t legal. Striking with the thumb, edge, heel, and palm of the glove are not legal tactics. If cuts arising from illegal tactics stop a fight, the fight goes to the scorecards—as long as at least 4 rounds have been completed..
Since 6 rounds were completed it’s simple arithmetic.. Vitali won it.Posted October 9, 2013 2:13 pm

He forgets to mention JMM was basically a super-featherweight (only 2 fights at light weight before he fought Fraud) and that JMM was a completely different fighter when he knocked out Pac. He’d grown into the division and was much stronger and more powerful.
JMM fought Pac 4 times, but Fraud wouldn’t do it once. He was too worried about his health to take on the biggest challenge of his career. You’d think that someone who has never fought a great fighter in the prime would be chomping at the bit to prove back up their boasts of being a legend, but alas not. Fraud was too chicken top fight great fighters while they were still great. His entire career is smoke and mirrors. The whole thing has been a carefully calculated plan of taking the most minimal amount of risk possible and trying to dress it up as something else.Posted October 9, 2013 5:36 am

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR:
”I believe that fight with Pacquiao can take place, Amir Khan can take place, for what we got left I think Pacquiao is the man to take a shot at Floyd, and as long as they make sure he do the right things, make sure he clean with everything, check him from head to toe, and if we check him from head to toe, we can go!”
”We bow down to nobody, and like I said, Pacquiao is a good one, he was not good before, but now being that things are so small, and we ain’t got nobody now, hey look, I guess he is the last man standing, that’s what it looks like to me. I think little Floyd can give Pacquiao a very good whooping, so right now with the way things are looking with him, I think all these guys need to get what’s coming to them anyway, because you get a chance to see what time it is.”
Now Floyd, the one thing that has always stood in the way of Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was drug testing, does it have to be that same case again? Does Pacquiao have to take every test to make the fight with Floyd?
”Oh yes, hell yes. He got to take every test! Anytime someone do stuff like that, he have to take every test. I’ll make sure that Floyd make him take every test. We can come up with nothing wrong with him, every test, any and all of them he got to take. It should be that way, he ain’t knocking my son out, and giving my son problems by hitting him, and him hitting you and you not going no where, nah he ain’t going for that stuff. He’s got to take every test there is”
If that fight does happen, Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, do you think Floyd really has to knock him out, and do what Marquez did to him, to really have an impressive performance?
”Floyd ain’t got to do it. Floyd has beaten Marquez’s ass already, whopped him easy. Marquez does not want to fight Floyd again, and Floyd will do the same thing to Pacquiao, it will be simple. Pacquiao and Marquez were going back and fourth when they were fighting each other. Marquez would have a moment here, and Pacquiao would have a moment here.”
”Floyd did not have a problem with Marquez, everything Floyd whopped him in, every round, and whooped him all the way, it was easy and he will definitely do Pacquiao the same way, if not easier, so that’s why everybody would know. If anything looks strange, little Floyd getting buckled or this and that by Pacquiao, then somebody is going to have to answer to this. We would have to stop that fight right there to see what the hell is going on with Pacquiao, cause something won’t be right, believe that.”Posted October 9, 2013 5:24 am
Malignaggi took Broner to school, Broner aint nothing special. Please do not let Khan get a shot at Floyd. he does not deserve it and is only looking to cash out.Posted October 9, 2013 5:09 am
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
The cut was caused by the thumb/inside edge of Lewis’ glove, so NO it was NOT a clean blow. But that was not enough to stop the fight. Lewis continued to hold VK with his left arm (underhook) and rake the cut with the heel and palm of his right glove. The illegal raking made the cut much worse.
The reality is that Lewis’ illegals blows caused the cut that ended the fight. After 6 rounds, it should’ve went to the cards for a decision anyway, which is why it was pure B.S. All judges scored it 4 rounds to 2 for VK, so yes it’s a fact that Vitali outboxed and retired Lennox Lewis.
Lewis never once talked about retirement before that fight, so everyone knows he retired out of FEAR to duck the rematch. Facts, just facts.Posted October 9, 2013 3:38 am
SRedmond ” Tark as usual showing us ALL the sad realities of getting old and the resulting loss of his faculties tsk, tsk. ” Take it easy on the pensioners now Red, gotta show respect. No need to punch a man wgen his already down.
TARK, what you’re saying makes little sense. You’re continuously saying that today’s fighters are the best in history. At the same time the sport, on a grass root level, is a fraction of what it once was. The selection is much much smaller now than ever before.
David Haye??? First of all Wlad looked terrible against Haye!! Second of all the ONLY valid comparison is Holyfield who is 5x more decorated than David Haye the ONLY man to become Undisputed Cruiserweight and HW Champ… A man who beat Bowe, Tyson, Mercer, and Foreman… Who did David Haye beat that compares??? Valuev? Chisora? Macarenelli??? Mormeck??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Lewis beat a CONSENSUS ATG David Haye is not even a Hall of Famer….Holyfield won the HW Championship 4x and backed down from no one good or bad…. Tark as usual showing us ALL the sad realities of getting old and the resulting loss of his faculties tsk, tskPosted October 9, 2013 2:22 am
ES, (Extra Sh***T) your interpretation of the action does NOT JIBE with the coroners report that showed MASSIVE TISSUE DAMAGE on Vitali Klitschko…If he (Klits) was “waxing and taxing” Lewis then why was it NOT Lennox who had 60 stitches in his face that were the result of 5 distinct wounds due to blunt force trauma???? “technicality” you mean like sparing some poor seeing eye dog from having to learn Russian? Or walking around a depressed 6″8 man wearing a pirates patch and a T-Shirt saying “I won 4 rounds but Lewis knocked my eye out”…. We Lewis fans have our Champion retired intact and the secure knowledge that Klits bloodied cranium rests on his mantle is sweet compensation for being Lewis fans… !!!!! Oh Happy Day!!!Posted October 9, 2013 2:11 am
Havoc – yes it’s exciting watching Barrera and Morales or Pac and Marquez busting each other up but it’s another thing watching a maestro at work when watching Floyd dismantling Marquez after a two year lay off showing those who know boxing the art of sweet science. Don’t badmouth what you don’t understand makes you seem a fool.Posted October 9, 2013 2:08 am
ES – please stop making stupid excuses, SRed has facts while you have excuses. A young fighter makes a statement when facing an old great or good fighter as he pointed out examples inclidubg Mike Tyson vs Larry Holmes, ODH vs Chavez, Terry Norris vs SRL. Clutch-kos are absolute crap in a weak era. The 90s had exciting HW : Tyson, Bowe, Lewis, Holyfiled as compared to “toe jam” Haye, Fury, Chambers, Saunders and the Clutch-kos.Posted October 9, 2013 2:01 am
If only Floyd can be an entertaining fighter….he may win all his cherry pick opponents but one thing is for SURE , his fights are getting more difficult to watch because of a non existing excitement….just like many others I stop paying to see him fight and reduce to just reading the news about him.Posted October 9, 2013 1:40 am
Floyd is a WW who fights under Showtime/CBS, Mayweather Promotions and GBP. GGG & PAC are with HBO and PAC is with Top Rank so when you idiots post your opinions consider that first so your argument can make some sense. Floyd has not had a fight with anyone from Top Rank stable ( Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Pac, Marquez, Mosley & ODH) since he left that scumbag Arum years ago. If you follow boxing you would know that Floyd called out ODH and Mosley way back before he was BIG and they all ducked him. ODH,Mosley, Marquez & Cotto had to cut their ties with Top Stink before the fights were made with Floyd and anyone who blames Fliyd for that must be dumb just like anyone who suggests Floyd Cheato & Clottey. The cokd war between TR, GBP and the division between HBO & Showtime are thevmain reason why we as fans don’t get to watch the best vs the best. Pac & Floyd are not at fault here.Posted October 9, 2013 1:32 am
And I suppose you were born in a barn. I have as much proof of that as you do on Mexicans.Posted October 9, 2013 1:07 am
Sred…you’re full of it……it would seem to folks like you Lewis denied Vitali glory. Fact is, those who witnessed that fight know Lewis was losing it so, what did they do instead? Well, after stopping the fight it was awarded to Lewis on some BS technicality due to ringside physician recommendations the fight be stopped because “supposedly, ” Vitali couldn’t continue. But Vitali was waxing and taxing that ass which is why Lewis never, and with good reason, gave Vitalit a rematch. So, Lewis didn’t win because he was “good,” he won by way of technicality……but he was not winning that fight buddy.Posted October 9, 2013 1:05 am

Did Lewis illegally rake the inside of Vitali’s mouth too – because he needed a load of stitches in there too?Posted October 9, 2013 12:04 am
Well errr Lewis fought Holyfield who was voted the greatest Cruiserweight of all time, which probably trumps beating Haye.
And lets be clear Lewis is ONE man. So compare him with ONE man not two.Posted October 8, 2013 11:56 pm
Weak era??? How many guys as good as David Haye did Lewis ever fight? … How many guys as big and fast as Tyson Fury did he fight? How many guys with a jab like Kubrat Pulev’s did he fight??? How many southpaws did Lewis face??? ZERO.. The K Bros have faced MANY southpaws because this is a more talent filled era.
Lewis fought one guy like Vitali Klitschko in a fight Emmanuel Steward said needed a rematch because the fight left a lot of questions on the table. That was Lewis’s trainer talking.. The fans thought Vitali Klitschko had the better of Lewis and cheered Vitali at the finish.. They booed Lewis..
The judges unanimously agreed with the fans cheers for Vitali..
The judges unanimously had Vitali winning the fight.. Lewis was knocked flat by underdogs TWICE in an era that wasn’t nearly as strong as the last 10 years — which have been dominated by the K Bros.Posted October 8, 2013 11:43 pm
Haters are unhappy Lewis retired in too having disposed of the somewhat unruly Vitali Klits as a parting gift to boxing… Lennox exposed and confirmed what many have known about the Klitschkos for years they simply are the beneficiaries of a WEAK era… Neither was important during the 90’s even though they started in 96!!! Vitali was getting TKOED when his BIG chance came in 2003, and Wlad was getting laid out till what 2004? 2005?….8 and 9 years after turning Pro the Klits were STILL not in command… Not till Lewis had completed his work, and the rest of the 90’s greats aged out of relevance… Vitali has boxed OVER HALF HIS CAREER looking in the rear view mirror cause Lewis denied him glory… Sadly the pinnacle of his career proved to be defeating Sameul Peter an easily forgotten boxer who somehow STILL had Wlad down 3x….I give Ricky Hatton credit, when he had an old Kosta Tszyu in the ring he made him QUIT, I give Marciano credit, when he had an OLD Joe Louis in the ring he stopped him, I give Holmes cred, when he had an OLD Ali in the ring he beat him down…. That’s what a young challenger destined to be Great is supposed to do!!!!! NOT GET HOLES BLOWN thru his face and stopped in 6 rounds… Then trying to enlist weak minded fans like Tark to win a political victory which like Vitali they failed to accomplish….But then again BUM Klitschko fans have made excuses for ALL LOSSES ie gassing, injuries, poison, conspiracies etc… The only LOSS they don’t try to overturn is Fat Sanders who they try to elevate when the truth is he was a NOBODY ABSENT decking Wlad…. The story will be told and history has deemed me 10000% correct Lewis WIN TKO VITALI 6 rounds this will never change… When Tark croaks I will be sure he’s buried with footage of the bout showing Lewis hand raised!!!Posted October 8, 2013 11:28 pm
Money Vs. The Problem!!!! What Network will broadcast this one?Verizon? Singular?Posted October 8, 2013 11:23 pm
The Froch fight would not have made tons of money. You are completely overestimating the popularity of Froch at that time. It wasn`t even till 2008 that Froch had his breakout fight with Pascal.
Froch even called Calzaghe live on a sports program in the UK to call him out, and Joe said “Yeah if you can make the money right” and Carl shrugged and gave it up, since he knew he couldn`t.
That was the feeling in the UK at the time – Froch was getting ahead of himself calling out Calzaghe, and was doing it for press attention at someone else’s expense.
But go ahead keep blathering you lie peddling reptile.Posted October 8, 2013 11:18 pm
Hamster.., You’re a dumb ass… Lewis, Calzaghe, Hagler…all duckers of the highest order… Clazaghe even refused to fight Froch when Carl had only 20 fights.. The fight would have made tons of money.. JC fought a super easy fight with Peter Manfredo instead.
Reminds me of the guys ducking Golovkin and Kovalev rght now… And of De La hoya fighting a washed up Yory Boy when Winky Wright was begging him for a much more lucrative unification fight for their 154-pound titles. That’s what the fans wanted to see.
The fans want to see Golovkin-Martinez… not Martinez-Cotto… The fans want to see Kovalev-Stevenson… not Stevenson-what’s his name.
The world is full of duckers — some just make perpetual excuses for them.Posted October 8, 2013 11:05 pm

Shut your lying stink hole, BEE-J! VK almost Knocked out Lewis 2-3 different times and LL NEVER once rocked or wobbled VK. ALL three judges scored the fight 4 rounds to 2 for VK and YOU KNOW IT! The cut that ended the fight was caused by Lewis’ illegal blows and you can see it happen in slow-motion replay.
The fight should’ve went to the cards and Vitali should’ve won the decision. Period! Doesn’t matter anyway because VK forced LL into retirement at just 37-years-old. It is now widely known throughout the boxing world as THE DUCK OF THE CENTURY.
The cowardly Lion retired to Jamaica with his head down, tail between his legs and has been high on potent Ganja every day since. It’s the only way he can deal with the shame and pain of being beaten and retired by a white European ATG. A Top-3 ATG HW.
Wow TARK – now you are trying to spin Calzaghe being retired by Chad No Heart Dawson?
The same No Heart Dawson who had zero response to Pascal rushing him?
You really are a disgusting, repulsive, ridiculous buffoon of a clown. I hope you keep a roll of toilet paper nailed on your head since so much drivelling faeces just pours out of your mouth.

Yeah Lewis was on his way to getting rid of Vitali. Lewis lost the first 3 rounds but he won the next 3 rounds and that upper cut landed on Vitali had him shook. He was gonna get rid of Vitali in the next round or 2. What makes it even worse is the Wlad and Vitali had been training for Lewis for a couple years. If GGG comes down the 154 to fight Floyd he will get embarrassed. GGG will have to lose to much weight and it will take a toll on him. He will be to slow, to weak and out boxed all night long. If Floyd went to 160 to fight him Floyd might very well lose that fight. GGG is a flat footed stalker with good power and some head movement, I younger Martinez would have probably KO’s GGG. When GGG get’s in with a top tier Middle weight and does something then I will maybe be impressed. GGG has fought no one worthy of him being called great. At least Mattysse had beaten 2 top tier fighters when everyone thought he was going to steam roll the division. It just shows that if you know anything about boxing it takes more than just crazy punching power to hold a top tier spot, people should have learn at least that from Garcia who has crazy punching power. Garcia showed if you couple that power with skill you’ll be champion and beat the guy that was supposed to steam roll you. GGG has a ways to go until he makes that big move people talking about him is not going to Make me believe he is nothing more than what I have witness so far.Posted October 8, 2013 5:55 pm
Seems like this writer has a point why else would Broner move to the welter weight class to fight. People keep bringing up Khan, Khan is an offensive fighter almost every time someone has taken the fight to him he losses. Khan need to learn to utilize his speed properly and listen to his corner. Everyone wants to blame Roach for the Garcia fight but Khan let his ego and fragile chin get in the way.Posted October 8, 2013 5:41 pm

Mayweather vs Broner will never be bigger than the Canelo vs Mayweather fight. Broner is older than Canelo and yet Canelo has a real fanbase, he draws big number of fans to his fights and weigh in and he does big tv ratings and he was just involved in the highest grossing fight of all time. Broner has yet to do any of that. He does decent tv ratings but thats it he has no fan base his fights are always half empty or less he lives of Mayweathers name and thats it. Does not matter, he said he could make it and then after the end result, claimed the weight was an issue. GGG weighed in at 170 his last fight. That is 16lbs past 154. What is your point? Some fighters are able to do it and some aren’t. The fact is they need to prove they can do it or at least come down to 156 or something to show that he is able to do it.Posted October 8, 2013 4:08 pm
There’s no proof Gennady could make the weight but thousands of other fighters regularly cut even more weight than what he would have to? OK.
Dawson weighed 191 lbs for one of his fights against Glen Johnson. That’s 23 lbs north of 168 lbs.Posted October 8, 2013 4:02 pm
Just because he has a smaller frame that Canelo does not mean the same thing. GGG is much more powerful than Canelo and he has never made 154 in his pro career. There is no proof that he could make 154. And if he did and got beat everybody would say he was drained just like every other fighter that came down from a weight class and said they could make a lower weight only to be dominated and then claim weight issues. Dawson is a good example when he fought Ward and Dawson used to fight at 168Posted October 8, 2013 3:49 pm
Problem is they don’t count over seas PPV along with the USA PPV so it is hard to say what it would sell. It may sell that but they they would have to do business with the overseas PPV also. That could be a snag in negotiations because Floyd will want a bigger slice of that alsoPosted October 8, 2013 3:47 pm
There really are no great match ups for Floyd. Broner is not ready yet. You can see that from his last fight. His foot work needs improvement. Not to mention he is not as fast as Floyd. A rematch with Cotto would work numbers wise but the problem is, Floyd handled Cotto standing right in front of him. What is Cotto going to do once he starts moving and tagging him. It would be a worse beat down. And as Floyd has shown in his 1 rematch, he makes it look easier the 2nd time. Not to mention he has his pops in his corner now. Garcia would be ok, but he is too slow and timing Floyd wont work for Garcia. He times you when you are throwing combinations. Floyd would pot shot Garcia all day and keep moving and giving him angles. Not to mention his jab would mess Garcia up something serious. Really the only competition he has is at 154 and there are no names that can be sold at 154. I have to think on this for a secPosted October 8, 2013 3:42 pm
Floyd vs GGG for sure will sell over 3 million buys with no problems, all of Russia, Mexico and the USA will buy this mega-fight.Posted October 8, 2013 3:41 pm
But GGG said he will gladly come down to 154 for Floyds 154 WBC belt and GGG is not a big frame middleweight…..154 pounders Trout and Canelo have bigger frames and Floyd handle 172 pounds Canelo with EASE. So Floyd shouldn’t have no problem with a smaller frame GGG at 154 pounds.Posted October 8, 2013 3:33 pm
If you keep mentioning Pacquiao and GGG here, Floydiots will come out and bark with no reasons while Floyd is hiding in his bathroom. Please have some pity and mercy!Posted October 8, 2013 3:23 pm

I agree with the writer that GGG is just too powerful, too good for Mayweather. Team Mayweather knows that GGG will stop Mayweather within 6 rounds, so it is not worth the time to discuss someone Mayweather never fights.
Also, since Mayweather does NOT have the confidence to fight Manny Pacquiao due The PacMan’s superb athleticisms and skills: Lightning SPEED, 1001 mile STAMINA, 360 degree RING MOVEMENT, HURRICANE SOUTH (SOUTHPAW), and THUNDER POWER. “Broner, GGG and Pacquiao will beat Mayweather. Broner talks and acts foolishly, but he has all the skills to beat Mayweather. He’s younger, faster, stronger and takes a better punch.” – Broner would make an interesting fight for the reasons you state but he is lazy when there’s not a fight scheduled. He had a beer gut and was partying like a rock star in Vegas during the Floyd-Canelo fight week. Still he’d be a 2/1 dog. GGG would win and Pac would be a 2/1 dog IMO. So we can cross these 3 off Floyd’s list. Too close to even money.Posted October 8, 2013 2:13 pm
I realize Floyd wants to maximize this rich and famous persona but Beiber? Cmon now. He’s a dork only teen girls like.Posted October 8, 2013 2:10 pm
Broner, GGG and Pacquiao will beat Mayweather. Broner talks and acts foolishly, but he has all the skills to beat Mayweather. He’s younger, faster, stronger and takes a better punch. Forget about the Malignaggi fight, Broner was too emotionally charged up and wanted to hurt Malignaggi instead of remaining calm and picking him apart. Broner will be too much for Floyd because he’s a young better verion of him. GGG destroys Mayweather. He is too big strong and more importantly, he has the endurance and the style to beat Floyd. GGG will top Floyd in the late rounds. He’ too much for Mayweather. The legendary Manny Pacquiao has always been the one fighter that Floyd has been scared of. Manny is faster, stronger and has a unique style that will baffle Floyd all night. Manny knocks Floyd out before 9 rounds. Manny Pacquiao is the most destructive offensive fighting machine of all time. Floyd best retire before fighting any of these guys. Trust me on these fights. And please get that idiot Bieber out of that picture. He’s a wannabe fighter.Posted October 8, 2013 2:07 pm
Get Bieber out of the picturePosted October 8, 2013 2:05 pm
I agree with parts of that peej. Golovkin is still somewhat of an unknown commodity outside the boxing circles, but is there anybody out there better at promoting a fight than Floyd? Once they start showing highlights of ggg performances people will bite. I would like to see ggg in at 154 first as well . Maybe in May he fights at 154 since everybody at 160 is running away lol. We shall see but really tho who else is there to match him up with? You know the promotional issues that exist, even tho most pretend that if yell loud enough top stink and golden goose will listen lmao. Good luck with that feels
Mayweather vs Cotto 2! Ali, Duran, Hearns and many other awesome fighters came back after major defeats in their career….This would be an intense rematch considering the pace of their first encounter.Posted October 8, 2013 2:03 pm
Paulie half exposed Broner….and the other half will be exposed soon, in his next bout at 147lbs. He’s no match for FMJ at any weight. And FMJ is not moving up to challenge anybody at 160lbs. That’s just not gonna happen!Posted October 8, 2013 1:59 pm
There’s no reason Floyd vs Broner can’t happen. I don’t buy this little brother nonsense. That said, everyone knows Garcia is the front runner for his May date. The Khan stuff reported last week was apparently UK tabloid hogwash. They often do that.Posted October 8, 2013 1:52 pm
BRONER reminds me of BERTO. He will hit his roadblock, real soon!Posted October 8, 2013 1:30 pm
HENDO has the beat!Posted October 8, 2013 1:27 pm
Broner vs Cotto at 152lbs and Canelo vs GGG at 160lbs on the undercard.. that is what I want to see… Oh Yeah..Posted October 8, 2013 1:19 pm
I thought it was Canelo on Crack.. LOLPosted October 8, 2013 1:17 pm
BTW, who’s the pencil-necked geek wearing shades and tattoos? OH! My bad! It’s Justin Bieber. God I hate that kid, but Floyd is a marketing genius.Posted October 8, 2013 1:10 pm
Floyd vs GGG at this point at time is not the only fight to be made. GGG is still building his fan base. Maybe late next year he will have a big fan base but as it is now, he has a small following but nothing huge. That will not do the PPV numbers they are looking for. And still we do not know if GGG can make 154. All this talk is premature, they say they can make it but they should prove it by taking a fight at 154 or maybe like 156 just to show they can get that low. Heck they should just come in the ring weighing that anyways and say look how much we weighed here and that was easy to make. We can make 154. But until he shows he can make it then it is not really worth talking about. Thats like Hopkins saying he can make 160 right now. Does anybody really think he could go back down to 160?Posted October 8, 2013 1:09 pm
BTW, if there’s any insult in my comment it’s directed at copy-cat Broner. LMAO!Posted October 8, 2013 1:08 pm
Imagine Mayweather and Broner shoulder-rolling and Philly Shelling each other to death. LOL!
Sorry. But the vision of that in my mind is funny. Mirror images. Fighting. LOL!Posted October 8, 2013 1:07 pm
Broner barely beat a Malinaggi of all people. Some fans scored it for Malinaggi. So this is what Floyd has in mind as one of his last 4 fights?? Hope fans ain’t too dumb and take all things into account, like opponent, the challenge and the time it takes place. Fighting Broner isn’t guaranteed to beat DLH/Floyd, impossible! That’s like saying fans would rather see Broner get the floor wiped on him than see a real, true and compelling fight that can only be seen via ppv. The fact floyd fights broner is not an issue per se but it’s like saying, floyd should be fighing khan or malinaggi or some other wannabe scrub. This is what Floyd wants to sell…..it’s what he expect his loyal fans to accept and buy. But unless he fights someone with a pulse, who is very skilled and a near p4p opponent, I will not be wasting my time anymore. Floyd is fighting for money by putting on exhibition fights, nothing more. He then does his best to convince boxing fans that it will be worth it just because he does some reality schtick that appears real to his loyalists thereby confirming his chosen (picked, as in cherry picked) as some bonafide bad ass. Do yourselves a favor and watch the replay of the fight. You will not be missing anything.Posted October 8, 2013 12:35 pm
Golovkin and mayweather could and should meet at 154. Why not I say. Imo Comic-Con

“the monitary form is writen cheque”-not in American English, cheque is for Limeys. btw, You spelled monetary and written incorrectly since you are correcting others…Posted October 8, 2013 12:27 pm
I do wonder why internet ‘journalists’ cannot write correctly. Incorrect use of their and there and check of the monitary form is writen cheque. Does anyone check these articles?
Anyway to the matter at hand, Floyd will fight once his show time contract expires so that he can surpass Marciano’s record and command an even bigger fee for the fight billed as his last. Before then you will see him take on Khan, Pacman and Garcia of all keep winning.Posted October 8, 2013 12:05 pm
I’d like to see Floyd take Broner to school…Broner makes Floyd seem likeable and he is a complete ripoff of Floyd’s style and persona. At least Floyd is original.Posted October 8, 2013 12:01 pm
I hate speculation articlesPosted October 8, 2013 11:42 am
KO OF THE YEAR
public moron- give it up you sound like a kid,.If I were pr I’d b embarrassed of you grow up son.Posted October 8, 2013 11:40 am
True. The scary part about that is Canelo is one of the best opponents Mayweather has shared a ring with since he moved up to 147. And he’s a hype job! He’s barely any better than trashy Broner.Posted October 8, 2013 11:39 am
Kiko – Sounds like you’re describing Mexican Canelo.. LOLPosted October 8, 2013 11:23 am
Padre, Here’s a hint: If you want an even dumber photo for your next article, please include not only Justin Bieber but also MIley Cyrus. I guarantee that you’ll win first prize.Posted October 8, 2013 11:04 am
Yeah this fight will never happen. First it would not do the numbers Floyd vs Canelo did. Broner doesnot have that fan base. Plus he has said multiple times that he will not fight Floyd. I haven’t heard Floyd say no to the fight only Broner. And Broner would need to prove himself at 147 and or 140Posted October 8, 2013 10:37 am
I’m not interested at all in a Broner vs PFM,,not even on regular HBO,,mainly due to the styles match up,,plus,, Broner barely got past a past prime Malig, whom had been beat up closer to his prime by a few boxers that were good but not Great ala PFM, Broner needs to go back to 135lbs and create a legacy there,,how can anyone that knows about boxing fall for the Hype for Broner,,he had a hard time with DeLeon whom is not a great fighter either,,, Broner is green,,very green at this time and without the legacy to dare challenge PFM,,,PFM just needs to fight the best welters even if he 1 or 2 levels above them,,not his fault this is a weak era for him,,PeacePosted October 8, 2013 10:34 am
anoy, sorry but boxing today is a joke.Posted October 8, 2013 10:27 am
Broner is more talk than greatness. He barely got passed Malignaggi and honestly I’d like to see them rematch. Martinez, GGG, Pac (if he wins which he should) and the winner of Bradley/Marquez are really the best options.Posted October 8, 2013 10:19 am
The author of this article just wasted his time! May and Broner will NEVER fight. Thanks for the boring read!Posted October 8, 2013 10:07 am
Hate him or not, Money Mayweather is such in a different level; look at any boxer doing their thing in the ring and then look at Floyd on how he’s so fast and is the best counter puncher in the history of boxing… To see Mayweather’s true gift, you can notice it in his last fight when they played replay in slow motion when Mayweather was banking on Canelo offense.
An elite boxer will not back pedal defenseless, like many amateurs boxer does. An elite boxer can move back but will stay in the pocket, make you miss and counter on your mistake. This is seen at (Mayweather vs. Hatton) also seen (Marquez vs Pacman IV).
It’s an art of fighting that many fan do not appreciate; many fans just wants to see two boxers/sluggers throwing bombs at each other until someone gets KO’s. (Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarez); yes, even I like those fight but, I prefer more to watch two boxer in a mental war on how they should avoid mistake and banking on the other fighter’s mistake; this is where the adrenaline starts to pump through your veins.Posted October 8, 2013 10:05 am
Again just caus broner uses the shoulder roll defense does not make Him a mini Floyd!Posted October 8, 2013 10:05 am
I hear yall, but at 23 who was better and remember when Money was calling out Mosley and DLH back in the day, ppl were like you aint ready. At this point May Kills Broner, but lets see what he can do at WLT against some stiff competition and then we can see if he ready for MGM.Posted October 8, 2013 9:57 am
broner wouldnt be ready for a 50 year old mayweather, he hasnt shown much just that he can be hit at will by a 5ft3 guy and he can thank his lucky charms paulie has no power, people who think hed even make it to the ring walk with mayweather are on the same crack broners onPosted October 8, 2013 9:52 am
Where does it state that Broner would beat Money May or we not reading the same clip.Posted October 8, 2013 9:29 am
you don’t have a clue if you think bronner is stronger than Floyd.sorry padre but bronner looked horrible at 147.floyd may not have knock out power but he doesn’t get pushed around the ring by anyone, floyd is a lot stronger than you think.if he ever fights bronner it would be one of his easiest fights bronner don’t have floyds leg strength or his foot speedPosted October 8, 2013 9:20 am
boxing today is getting a joke.Posted October 8, 2013 9:10 am
Cottos shot and no good according to our resident Chihuahuas so why not have Broner take on Cotto at 152lbs?? Canelo can go fight Martinez who is his true size…Posted October 8, 2013 9:07 am
Oh please Broner has had no real tests yet except the one he failed against Paulie Malinagie and this author thinks he could beat Mayweather? Not too mention Tim Bradley and Danny Garcia would both probably beat Broner. Nonsense article.Posted October 8, 2013 9:03 am
Mayweather will beat Broner easely. And Broner knows it in the back of his head. Mayweather should fight the winner of Bradley and Marquez, then Pacman, and end it with a KO of broner, thank you and good night.Posted October 8, 2013 8:26 am
I know I would like to see this fight for sure. Broner would need to fight some more at WLT though. Dont get the Paulie thing though. Broner gave Paulie the first 3-4 rounds and then after that simply manhandled him. Agree he never really hurt Paulie, but you guys talk as if Paulie is a push over. He is a very good boxer who rarely gets hurt just never had the power to make opponents respect him eneough in the ring.Posted October 8, 2013 8:22 am
Pauline exposed Broner big timePosted October 8, 2013 8:13 am
look at skinny little bieber in this photo haha ive seen more meat on an oxo cubePosted October 8, 2013 8:08 am
Broner cant beat floyd! He didnt beat paulie! If he is smart he will go back to 140 where he is better suited.Posted October 8, 2013 8:02 am
Pointless article….nothing more than speculation and more fuel 4 the doubters. Get back 2 us when a fight has been made.Posted October 8, 2013 8:00 am
If Khan gets a shot next I aint watching it. Somebody in the US media called Khan “the human chandelier” hahaPosted October 8, 2013 7:42 am
was gonna make a post but public enemy took the words outta my mouthPosted October 8, 2013 7:30 am
Broner despite being a 4 weight champ still needs to prove himself against the big names. Madina is a good start but his ability is limited to his big punch power. Khan would be good test.a few more fights to see how he fares them we can juge himPosted October 8, 2013 7:07 am
Tell him he’s dreaming. If FMJ fought Broner last then that would be 2015. Broner will have racked up at least 2 losses by then. Broner barely squeaked by Malignaggi. Broner is no hope against FMJ and it would be an absolute snorefest with bioth fighters trying to counter from opposite sides of the ring because they won’t initiate action.Posted October 8, 2013 7:02 am
Someone punching Bieber would be worth any PPV fee.Posted October 8, 2013 6:37 am
Swedish Boxing Fan
For what it looks like, Floyd Mayweather Jr will fight Justin “Big Time Overated” Beiber. The battle of the greatest greedy and shallow man. Why not? They are so tight “buddies” and Beiber thinks he is a fighter and can hold the belts.Posted October 8, 2013 6:26 am
