It’s Me, Ernie

“That” Corrie Sanders would have still whipped Klit. He just had his number, like Vernon had Sugar Shane’s. Corrie didn’t back down and wasn’t intimidated like the long list of Austins and cruiserweights have been. They stood toe to toe and Corrie got off first, every time. Styles make fights, yesterdays event wasn’t a fight, it was a typical Wladdie borefest/stinker. Wlad retreated when the much smaller Povetkin even thought he was going to step forward, force the clinch, layed on top of Pov to the point of embarrassment for the sport, yet the nuthuggers still claim their hero is the GOAT. I wish I could write comedy like that…

GREAT FIGHTERS MAKE GREAT FIGHTS, NOT GREAT HYPE.

TARK

This pundit says.., “I doubt that Povetkin is even close to being as good as the 6’4” South African Corrie Sanders was when he destroyed Wladimir in 2 rounds in 2003.”

Povetkin would defeat a peak Sanders very easily… You cannot take one upset victory and extrapolate what would happen in another fight.. Sanders was a HUGE underdog and expected to get KO’d early.

Wladimir is the only good fighter Sanders ever beat. Sanders got stopped by Vitali Klitschko, Hasim Rahman, and guys you never heard of.

Sanders had specific talents that let him take advantage of specific flaws in Wladimir’s style, stance, skill set, and defense. Nobody else could exploit them the way he did… Corrie fought the right guy, at the right time.. But that Sanders wouldn’t last with today’s Wladimir.

Sometimes an ordinary fighter sees a great fighter and knows he can beat him.. Often times it’s delusional — but sometimes it’s not.

Ralph Jones after losing 5 fights in a row said.., “Everybody is laughing at me, but I know I will beat Sugar Ray Robinson.. I knew it the first time I saw Ray fight.. I’m way too strong, fast, and aggressive for him.. There is no way in the world Robinson can beat me.”

There’s an ancient saying, “Styles make fights.”

Wlad respects Alexander Povetkin alright. Pov won everything in the amateurs, a fighter of pedigree and he’s an undefeated pro. He ain’t no fool. WK has to be right on the night himself or he can lose his title. If Wlad is 100% right and everything is on the level, I expect him to win clearly.

your an idiot if you think Sanders, Puritty, Lamon Brewster, David Haye, Ray Mercer and Tony Thompson have more talent and would beat povetkin.Anything is possible but povetkin won a gold medal in the olympics so i think he has some good talent.

Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto had nothing but nice things to say about each other… You don’t have to invent conflict where none exists to hype a fight.. That’s for children and reality TV shows.

I’d b saying nice things until taking the belt back on the plane away from Russia. I’m sure Wlads fists intend on being anything but nice.

povetkin did give chambers his first loss and looked doing it. Agree that wlad should win easily tomorrow.
