Sorry for going off topic here.. but Public enemy I know plenty of lifelong potheads who make near 6 digit salaries or more including myself. You are generalizing based on burnouts you know. We don’t all live in our parent’s basements and deliver pizzas, thank you very much..

Jimmy, half the NBA is smoking weed. Coach Phil Jackson even called out the league saying weed should not be on their list of banned substances. Those players gotta run like mad week in and week out but evidently the weed hasn’t slowed them down. I’m not saying it’s good for athletes, I’m saying a fit athlete who trains hard doesn’t suffer as much as couch potatoes. That said, it’s sure as hell not a PED.

Smoking pot reeks havoc on your cardio, pro athletes that are not just phoning it in as JR is, should vaporize or injest it a way that is not smoking. but yeah cigarettes are even worse… I bet Chavez is a legal patient in Cali, I think that is still the requirement, if a boxer couldn’t get it for chronic pain than I surely don’t deserve mine! Good for him and arum for supporting it, but do it responsibly…. Smoking is OUT!

“Smokin weed for an top level boxer is completely unacceptable. It does as much damage as smoking cigarettes.” – Actually weed does less damage than cigarettes since there are fewer carcinogens and no long term health side effects unless it’s smoked. Since it’s legal in CA what Jr should do is take the post-fight piss test, then attend the press conference smoking a joint.

“This is the first time I’ve ever seen a fight adjusted to a guys non-ability to make weight.” – HBO did the same thing for Broner vs Escobedo for the WBO jr lightweight title last year. If I remember correctly Broner was allowed to weigh 135.

Jimmy – as long as you understand that Cheato Jr., his people and promoters are not looking for any kind of Greatness and that all they want is what Canelo and his people got.. a Huge Life Changing Payday for all of them.. then it’ll all make sense to you.. why no one gives a sht what this moron does in or out of the ring, why everything he’s done has been overlooked and excused.. It’s all about that Payday.. nothing else matters..

Posted September 26, 2013 1:21 pm

Smokin weed for an top level boxer is completely unacceptable. It does as much damage as smoking cigarettes. When your 26 sure you can still get by but….. Now if these guys and Arum were to say “He was vaporizing some weed, or he eats a pot brownie here and there” it would be a lot different. To admit he’s actually smoking weed is saying he doesn’t give a fly in’ f@&$. It’s not 1969 boys, we got amazing technology now. JR hasn’t earned it the hard way that’s his real issue.

Chavez Sr. was the original Glove loader during his Championship years when he was a Coke Addicted Alcoholic in bed with Mexicos Criminal element.. No doubt he Loaded his Wraps vs Camacho Sr. and Meldrick Taylor.. the fights were the Mirror images of the Cotto vs MargaCheato 1 fight.. exactly the same odd punching results from slow thudding shots..

But Chavez Sr. and as we now see Jr. are both Drug addicted Alcoholics who would easily cheat to get an advantage.. atleast we now know it would’ve been absolutely normal for Chavez Sr. to be loading his wraps during his Drug Alcoholic Days as a Champion..

te tumbo

too much TMZ-caliber fight(?) anlaysis going on here. guys like Gomez, Rosario, and Camacho were coke-freaks and worse DURING their respective primes(?!). they and their desperate cheerleaders would even cite excessive “partying” as an excuse for getting their butts thoroughly whipped by Bigger, Badder, Mexicans. meanwhile, Jr. has only lost one fight to what was the best 160lbr out there. previously he Socked his way to the title-bout and despite boiling down to an artificially low weight and being dominated for 10 rounds Jr. didn’t take a knee (e.g. Cotto) or turn his back (e.g., Rosario). instead he surged forward to drop Martinez twice in the final round (that was no shove or push, Martinez was going DOWN a second time). once again, chalkboard analyses is for fantasy Boxing. REAL Boxing is dominated by the fiercer, tougher, and grittier Fighters who frequently (if not predictably) overcome talent deficits to impose their will on superior boxers. Chavez Jr. has proven himself to be in that mold with the capacity to improve. as long as he makes weight, who gives a F’k what bitterly-dissapointed island PUTOS think?

Chavez Jr. is Sulliamans God Child so of course he’s going to bend the rules for him.. just like when he let him skip the Drug test in that fight against the Mexican who was actually boxing his ears off unti Jr’s weight advantage just wore him down…

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a fight adjusted to a guys non-ability to make weight. By far the worst boxer in the game , being lead by the worst promoter in the game Slob Arum!

Junior is a disgrace to the sport of boxing. He’s a pot head drunk that needs to go find something else to do. This guy is receiving too many chances. He is tough and has some fight in him, but he lacks discipline. He’s not going anywhere. Boxers need to be clean 100% all the time. No Peds or or any other drug should be in their system including Marijuana. Boxers get enough brain damage as it is.

Tomato can- You beat me 2 it….Zero disaplane, zero respect 4 the sport, himself and opponents. There’ll b plenty of guys at super middle licking there lips…If Chavez can make weight? Easy money.

Te Tumbo…Abraham and Jermain Taylor were far more dominant than Chavez at MW, and look what happened to them when they stepped up assuming they would make it.

They got the p1ss slapped out of them, and their careers nose-dived.

I`m not convinced Jnr would be anything more than another Librado Andrade at SMW.

If Froch is limited, he`s looked limited beating probably 7-8 guys who would beat every single fighter Chavez Jnr has.

te tumbo, if they’re fighting in CA our state rules apply. Therefore Jr can light up a fat joint and smoke it at ring center during the post-fight interview. All he needs is a medical marijuana permit, which is easy to get. Must-see TV.

It’s always something with Chavez Jr. First it was the illegal weight loss supplement, then he’s smoking weed at camp, now he’s massively overweight. He seems to have a strange sense of entitlement. Unfortunately for Vera, he’ll take the fight regardless just like that dude at 130 did with Broner. Whomever the house fighter is dictates the terms.

I recommend we kill Chavez Jr. before he multiplies.
