Interesting stuff! Burns throws the one two then gets countered hard with t
Beltrans left hook by staying in range too long.

Beltrans left hook is gonna knock burns out!

Burns corner need to have a serious word! Get him to stop sitting on the ropes and throwing flashy combinations! Beltran is countering his right every time, is have him doubling up on the jab and moving constantly. Burns can out box him but he’s gonna loose if he continues to try and mix it

St Vitus Dance

Chapo610 yes because SO many American fighters travel to defend their titles don’t they??? I’m not sure home advantage is a good thing, fighters tend to fight to impress, not to a game plan, look at David Price, now Burns is getting too macho,

Mick the M,

I agree and it’s especially aggravating after spending time trying to post something in depth. The web master should do something about it but they probably don’t care. I’ll be surprised if this gets posted.

Mick the Marmalizer

Why is it that I post my 1st comment of the day & ESB say I’m posting to soon? I’m fast running out of patience with this website!

mr gav

Beltran is on a roll and is very focused I wouldn’t let his record device you this guy did it the hard way which is why a guy like him is dangerous. The home advantage is big fir burns he will need them to get behind him as beltran is here to win. It’s a tough one to call but I’m saying beltran by close points

I knew something was up Burns last fight when he was sitting in the crowd watching his own undercard under-card which struck me as kinda weird,I was like wtf??? is his head actually on the task in hand or what, anyway it worried me big time and the way he performed that night confirmed that his focus wasn’t there, I will be interested to see if he’s sitting in the front row tonight or if he’s where he should be in his dresser room getting mentally prepared and focusing on the task in hand.

Ah right bro, gotcha,he could have used his own euphemism, I sure take boxing talk seriously well at least I think I do,and I drink whiskey not beer lol, but pizza gooood.

KOrnerman we didn’t write that phrase, it was another poster who said that! We are boxing fans same as most posters on here are.

*my apologies sir I meant peemster.

Ricky should look good in this fight, he shouldn’t have fought a mandatory after being out 9 months, most would have took a tune up but not Burns so he deserves major respect for that, everyone has a bad night, he made the other guy quit and gas himself, that’s a real champion when he wins without being 100% against his mandatory, I think tonight Ricky will be 100% and after this go after Vasquez, and BoxingRoundup you wont win many allies on here if you refer to us posters as beer and Pizza guys, there’s a lot of knowledgeable posters on here just for the record bud.

Posted September 7, 2013 10:37 am

Not a bad fight here.Beltran looking good in his last few fights,Burns looked not that good in his last fight. So could the table be turning for Beltran…most likely not, still picking Burns. But could have some good back and forth action.

Posted September 7, 2013 10:35 am

Peemster- it wasn’t intended to be an informative or insightful article. It is merely a fight day snapshot of what some boxing fans are predicting will happen tonight. I wouldn’t even call it an article, more of a prediction poll without stats.

What did the boxing fans responses tell us?

(1) Clearly most are picking Burns to win
(2) Majority see this as a 12 round decision
(3) There are a number who see Burns getting a late KO stoppage
(4) Not many fancy an early KO
(5) A small minority are picking Beltran to win

Caveat: The replies were mainly from UK fans.

Ricky late TKO,

Boxingroundup – Fair enough, but it still doesn’t make for an interesting read. With this format of article, you really need some insight from figures within the sport who give insight and reason for their predictions. That way the guy on the street gets an idea as to the inner workings of those within the game and can expand their own knowledge rather than have the beer and pizza boys random predictions. Just a thought….

Posted September 7, 2013 9:07 am

Peemaster, the quotes are from boxing fans on twitter. If you go through our timeline you can see who said what. Not plucked from thin air.

Posted September 7, 2013 8:55 am

I know, lets write an article where we tell you about a fight that’s about to happen and pull random quotes from thin air that aren’t attributed to anyone in particular and that offer virtually no insight or reason for their predictions. That will make a riveting read, surely?! Must do better ESB…
