How many duckers try to fight 2 unification fights straight after winning their title?
Seriously, go through the list of divisions and find someone who has won an alphabet title then fought the holders of all three other belts within their next three fights?

That is not the MO of a ducker.

Golovkin will be destroyed by André Ward, and Martinez will also dominates Golovkin

Geal Arrrg! Golovkin is going to be the fighter that, wait this already happened for two year but know one knew about it.
Top fighter have tried not to fight with Golovkin for years!

Now Geal is doing it again. Couple belts were created just so fighters could get away from certain fights.

Geale vs. the winner would be sweet.

I’m a Geale fan but i don’t like his chances against the winner, though it would be a more prestigious fight than a Golovkin bout and a safer fight as well imo. Ward will be turning up as well, he too should consider Golovkin, i fancy Ward’s chances vs Golovkin @ 168.

People need to look at what Geale is actually doing here. Sturm was ducking Golovkin as his mandatory since 2010, and it is because of STURMS constant ducking that the WBA made their ruling. Geale won his IBF title by fighting away in Germany (and the IBF is the more prestigious belt – no interim champions or superchampions), the IBF is the body that actually ranked him. Then after a soft defence Geale is straight into a unification – again away from home. Then in his next match he is proposing a fight to unify ALL the titles, and people are accusing him of ducking. This is a fighter wining a world title and then trying to fight 2 unifications in his next 4 fights. How many new champions have done that recently?
I understand why people are getting high on Golovkin and want him to get his shot – he totally deserves a title shot but having a go at Geale is having a go at the wrong target.
Besides which – going by the WBA’s own rules, when a fighter holds their title and another title they become a Superchampion and the “regular” title becomes vacant, and they give the superchampion additional time to defend vs the champion.
You can bet that if Geale fought Golovkin and lost they would make Golovkin superchamp, and then let Sturm fight a nobody for the regular title, after which Sturm would go back to ducking Golovkin and noone would give Geale another shot.

Daniel Geale runs from no one … having just beaten the longest standing 160lb fighter on the planet he has earned the right to contest against other belt holders for the best pay day possible….whether it be Golovkin..Pirog…Chavez or Martinez…Daniel will do what is best for his family and he can beat them all….!!!!

Teacher you are a complete idiot with your comments. I bet you have never stepped inside the ring for a light sparring session let alone fought a bout. If Daniel Geale chooses to fight the winner of Martinez-Chavez, he is taking the tougher fight as apposed to fighting Golovkin. You realise that Golovkin will be at ringside for the Martinez-Chavez Jnr bout looking to face the winner, would you call him a coward if he chooses to face the winner instead of taking his mandatory shot at Geale’s WBA title??? If the WBA strips Geale for fighting the Martinez-Chavez Jnr winner or his IBF mandatory defence against Sam Soliman so what! It will be just devaluing the title and Golovkin will still be the number one contender or interim title holder and not the legitimate champion. Pete’s solution is the best, have Geale face the winner of Martinez-Chavez Jnr with Golovkin-Soliman to fight it out for the mandatory shot at the unified champion. Golovkin is good, I was impressed with his TKO of Proska (who had a very poor defence) and I like him as a fighter, but a bout against Geale or Martinez (Proska was good practice for a possible Martinez bout) might just prove to be a bit more difficult. I see a fighter with a good jab and lateral moving posing problems for Golovkin, something Geale possesses. Everyone saying that Geale won’t last 5 rounds against Golovkin remind me of what was said before Zab Judah fought Kostya Tszyu…

I agree saying he is a coward is wrong, but running from a madatory just because you know you will get KTFO is even worse. Golovkin’s is gonna whip that behind as soon as Geal steps in the ring. I will be taking bets

To solve the bloody problem, golovkin should fight soliman, then Geale only needs to defend it against the winner, and that fight could be on the Geale vs winner of Marteniz vs Chevaz card, great double header.

Geale’s driven by the devil & the deep blue sea here. If he fight Soliman the WBA strip him & if he fight Golovkin then the IBF strip him. “Boxing politics stink”!

Right now Martinez is considered the BEST by justy about everyone. Only a fool would have the promising GGG ranked above him at this stage of their careeres. So whoever fights the winner of Martinaz/ Chavez will be fighting the best. Geale has 2 mandatories to defend with 2 different organisations – he may trake the soliman route as its definitely easier and the pay in Australia would be good – However if the money is right for a GGG fight I definitely would not be suprised if he stepped up to the plate. GGG is also hoping to fight the winner of Martinez/Chavez as thats where the big bucks are.

i agree with you same way Bowe dump his belt in the bin instead of fighting Lewis they all talk they want to fight the best instead they look for excuse to avoid mandatory challenger

Posted September 11, 2012 12:46 pm

The comment is not about Geale’s warrior heart, but about his saying he wants to fight the best, he knew the situation with the WBA stipulation of a purse bid to determine a promoter for the Golovkin vs. Geale ight before the end of 2012, yet fails to mention it in his interviews, he has to fight Golovkin or give up his WBA belt, so all I am saying is be truthful, stop saying you are willing to fight the best and abide by the rules of organizations belt you claim to hold.

No one who get’s in the ring is a coward. Your out of order with your comments!

Posted September 11, 2012 12:25 pm

He keeps talking about fighting the best, the WBA has ordered he fight his mandatory against Golovkin, he is one of the best in the Middleweight division, but he will run away from GGG just like Sturm did, he most likely fight Soliman in Australia, he is afraid and so is Shaw they both know Golovkin KTFO in less the 6 rounds, so run you coward.
