Ha! Felix Sturm and his crew of corrupt yes men are dreaming if they think a rematch with Daniel Geale is on the cards! Sturm would have to come to Australia to get it this time and we all know he likes easy manipulated fights being held on home soil. If Geale has to do a mandatory it will be with the guy that has held onto the manadatory challengers position for almost 2 years and the very man Sturm and his team of crooks tried to discredit, Sam Soliman. Does us all a favour and hang em up Felix, not only are you no longer relevant, you and your team of phonies are bad for the sport

Buster: Good point Geale has to get past Barker 1st. If Daniel beats Darren then a rematch might not be a bad idea, but as champion he has to demand the fight to take place in Australia. If of course DB wins then a 1st defence against Sturm in London makes sense.

A good assessment by the writer on Sturm’s opponent looking like a welterweight with less skills & power. It certainly appears Radosevic was elevated in the rankings to be a sacrifical lamb for a better funded fighter to position for a mandatory title shot. Provided Geale beats Barker I don’t mind Sturm being the mandatory as it will mean a big payday for Geale, there was talk in the Aussie papers of Geale’s managment being disappointed when Sam Soliman beat Sturm as they were expecting a payday similar to what he received in facing Mundine ($2 Million plus from what I understand). Like the reader I see Geale beating Sturm again unless there is some of the usual BS that goes on in Germany.

It’s amazing how quickly Sturm gets back into some sort of title picture. He avoided guys like Martinez, Chavez Jr. and GGG. Why isn’t he asking for a fight with any of them — all would be exceptionally lucrative? He’s always been a tier two champion and contender. Tough, strong, above average skills and fair power — but his avoidance of the elite (except for Gaele and De La Hoye, both losses), marks him as an also-ran.

@Yves – “Don´t underestimae Sturm yet. If he is 100% in his game he can beat (nearly) every middleweight.”
Only in Germany.

Who really cares. GGG will murder both of these dudes! Neither want to see GGG!

Sam should be ranked ahead of Sternum that’s for sure … The guy Sturm fought for the spot was a complete BUM …He may have been bought off for all we know …………

Geale would beat Kid Choco Bon Bon ….GGG is in his own league IMO ……..

Soliman had his split B sample tested in a US lab and it came out clean.

He asked the Germans to retest the other half and they have been refusing.

That match shouldn`t be invalidated.

LMAN: Spot on , they need to face each other as the top dogs of the division, I also agree that of all the top dogs Maravilla looks the weakest as he struggled against a stagnant Murry ( would have lost if the fight was outside Argentina) and Macklin ( down on the cards until the KO). As an Australian I am a Geale follower but I think that Chocolate and GGG will beat him but GGG will rule this division. Sturm is done and has done nothing to deserve another title shot, I think a middleweight super six like what was done in Super Middle is the way to go.

eventually Geale, GGG, Quillin if they retain their belts will have to face each other, the guy Im not so sure about ironically is Martinez, the recognised ruler of MW, he could have fought these guys by now but seeing as how he struugled in his last fight and his age Im starting to wonder if he has it in him to potentially take a loss in his last or one of his last fights.

Its not fair the “avoid Golovkin” statement about Geale, he was already going to face Mundine after he beat Sturm for a big payday. Sturm dodged GGG for 2 years, loses the belt to Geale THEN the WBA strip Geale of the belt for not taking an immediate defense against GGG. That was complete BS.

Let Sturm come to OZ. Geale will outwork him again and again and again so on and so forth. Geale has a fantastic work rate with good skills. He is not the best Middleweight but comes in at no three behind Maravilla and GGG.

Sturm, another Sven ottke, he was hiding 2 years from golovkin, only fights fighters he know he can beat. Sturm can only fool the german public. His biggest achievment was his fight vs delahoya.

how bout sturm step out of Germany ! either fight in USA or AUSTRALIA coz the only way he’s getting that title back is by $$paying of tha judges$$ in his home country

If Sturm is ranked #1 by the IBF. Then Geale may not much choice if he wants to keep his belt……….

von Pugsly

Probably true. Geale would probably jump at the chance to avoid Golovkin a little longer if the payday is good enough.
