…. “Hatton didn’t QUIT like Ortiz” …Right Boxtra… Just talk about the only 2 opponents Floyd has ever stopped in the last 7 years. Two of the most hittable, inept boxers who ever lucked into a world title belt.
How about Zab??? Zab dropped Floyd for a knockdown.. Zab was KO’d by others, but not by Floyd.. Zab was leading on points early in the fight.. Zab slugged Floyd in the balls and then wound up and blasted Floyd behind the head. DOUBLE OUCH!!! A lot of audacity there—but not much intimidation. Zab has a weak chin but Floyd couldn’t find the off button. There was a huge brawl in the middle of ring that included Zab. Floyd was a spectator.
How about Oscar??? Floyd missed 3 huge right leads in a row, throwing at Oscar’s wide open head. Oscar has a badly flawed defense—but Floyd couldn’t find him with a staggering or hurtful punch. One of the judges wasn’t impressed with Floyd—he gave the fight to Oscar. There are a lot of blind judges out there. You never know when 2 who hate you will show up. You have to create more separation so they can’t create a loss for you.
How about Cotto??? Cotto worked his jab in masterful fashion.. Cotto had Floyd’s nose pouring blood and his uncle had to break out the Q-Tips. They finally got the blood stopped and then POW. Another sizzling jab to the snoot. More Q-Tips up the nose.
How about Mosley??? KAPOW!!! Whoa!!! Floyd’s legs did the dipsy-doodle.
I’ll say this… With the way Floyd gets socked, he sure is an exciting fighter. May he carry on the drama on Sep 14th… But he’s facing a kid who can finish what he starts—while all these other guys sat back and admired their work.Posted July 2, 2013 1:16 pm
Every day there’s going to be articles on this “Media Tour?” Why?Posted July 2, 2013 9:51 am
Most of Floyd’s opponents aren’t haven’t been thinking about winning. It’s mainly the 3 million bucks they expect. Canelo is looking to win.Posted July 2, 2013 9:24 am
There’s a false believe that becuase Canelo is bigger and stronger than Floyd he’ll beat him, but we can’t forget about Floyd’s skills. Not to mention the experience Floyd brings into the ring. Canelo’s record may appear impressive on paper, but we all know his fights were carefully orchestrated.
As far as Floyd trading with Canelo, why should he take those chances when he should easily outbox him?Posted July 2, 2013 8:52 am
Dont think Canelo will get ko’ed. He will get outbox for 12 rds. But i gaurantee you floyd wont trade w canelo like he did w cotto. Floyd sr will have none of that! Floyd will get hit but he wont lay on the ropes like he did again cotto. If he does canelo will ko him n he knows it. Thats why floyd will box, move, n counter to ud. But it wont be easy at all! Canelo is a beast n the truth! But floyd is floyd. The goat!Posted July 2, 2013 5:55 am
Same fate for canelo BoxtradamusPosted July 2, 2013 5:38 am
FALSE. Most of Floyd’s opponents aren’t intimidated until they get INSIDE the Ring and feel the SKILLS and Boxing IQ gap….and then they have to make a decision on whether they want to finish with honor or NOT….I give Hatton credit. He didn’t QUIT like Ortiz. HE kept coming until Floyd knocked him out.Posted July 2, 2013 3:25 am
