Gilles you are totally clueless. Anybody with half a brain could see that Macklin was severely hurt in there it was blatantly obvious.
Why do morons like you like to find the worst in a fighter? Grow up and anylise the fight game in a more mature way instead of your clueless juvenille bleatings.

I suppose Macklin must have faked having a broken rib then?

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

B.S.! Clearly you’ve never taken a perfectly placed liver shot from a devastating power puncher. It’s not the same as getting punched in the gut and slightly hurt or winded. It’s shocks your entire system and shuts your whole body down. It’s a totally unique brand of special pain — and usually it takes longer than 20-30 seconds to recover from a shot like that.

Mack was NOT faking anything. He’s a true warrior and would’ve gone out on his shield, swinging. In the slow-motion replay… you can see that 3G landed a perfectly-placed power left hook to Mack’s liver. You’re are not grasping the magnitude of 3G’s thunderous power, accuracy and elite technical skills.

Macklin look and talk like a guy who is happy the fight is over; not a guy who just wasted his last chance at the title… Usually, when you see a guy who got ko’ed in 3 and lost his last opportunity to achieve his biggest goal, you don’t see that kind of interview…

I believe Macklin quit… It’s the first time i see a fighter going down that fast after a body shot.. When you get hit by a knock-out bodyshot, to the liver, there is a delay before you go down… It’s not like a headshot where the brain just freeze… De La Hoya, Dorin, Gatti etc.. They all went down from bodyshots and it wasen’t that fast!!

Don’t get me wrong; Golovkin made him quit… So he is a beast… But my point is that the reason why Macklin is classy like that is only to make people believe he had no choice but to go down; and in the process; he push the hype!!!

The guy was about to get knock out cold so he decided to go down from a bodyshot… He quit!!!!

Boxtra says…, “MAYWEATHER would WIN vs triple GGG by UD. All the POWER in the world cant help you win if you CANNOT HIT your target.”

GGG would knock Floyd TFO… That fight would be stupid for Floyd to take.

There’s a limit… Ray Robinson tried to take the Light Heavyweight Title from pedestrian soft puncher Joey Maxim… Robinson refused to take the same chance against Archie Moore.. Moore was a great boxer and puncher.

GGG is a great boxer and puncher… If Martinez would fight him that would be clear.

Hat off to Macklin. All class in that interview.

GGG is terrifying to watch. A legend in the making.

Posted July 1, 2013 4:27 am

I also like to see Chavez vs ggg just too see ggg give Chavez a beating because he thinks he can take a punch and would like to see if he can take ggg ‘s punches like that!

Posted June 30, 2013 11:31 pm

MAYWEATHER would WIN vs triple GGG by UD. All the POWER in the world cant help you win if you CANNOT HIT your target. SKILLS could carry MAyweather through anyone at 160 or below. 168 would be TOO much though.

I did not PICK Oosthuizen to win. I AM way too GREAT for that kind of prediction. THAT was one of my groupie IMPOSTORS! I the TRUE Boxtradamus am the GREATEST fight prophet ever born!!!

Now this is a puncher that will kill all sweet science boxer expert like Floydiot boxing style!!!

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Clowns are saying Mack is an average nobody to try and take away from GGG’s extraordinary performance last night. It’s pure B.S.!

FACT: Mack damn nearly beat Maravilla. He knocked SM down in the 7th and was leading on ALL cards after 10 rounds. And he should have won a major MW Title/Strap when he boxed Sturm’s ears off in Germany, but got ROBBED.

Mack is one of the very best 4-7 MWs in the world, and the way in which Triple G effortlessly sliced-up his face and brutally stopped him with a left hook to the liver was astounding.

GGG is the P4P BEST boxer in the entire world, hands down. He’s the absolute truth. ‘The Natural.” Real talk.

Boxtradamus predicted Oosthuizen would be victorious against Gonzales…

Everybody on Earth knew Golovkin was going to flatten Macklin.

Golovkin really looks fantastic but I think a few people are getting a bit carried awayhere. Also, all this talk of him fighting Mayweather…why the hell would Mayweather need to prove himself against someone so much bigger and heavier than himself. Next you’ll want him to fight Andre Ward, Carl Froch or the bloomin Klitchkos.

Posted June 30, 2013 6:20 pm

Golovkin is a very well trained, smart fighter. He apparently has loads of talent to complement his other assets; Big punch for example. Will enjoy watching his future contest & lets see just how far he can go. Super star? Not yet but well on the way there!.

von Pugsly

GGG would destroy Sugar Ray Robinson, Hagler, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Mayweather, Ward and Froch all in the same night and then wallop Hopkins, Toney, RJ and Pacquiao for dessert. In fact, he could probably defeat most of the world’s armed forces in single combat, but it would take him a little time to work through the ranks.

Triple G is the best P4P fighter, better than Mayweather. I predict he will KO Mayweather as soon as the coward gets the nerve to face him. Mayweather – Canelo is a sham.

Posted June 30, 2013 3:24 pm

Triple g cracked me up coz he was so calm, it was like he was sitting on the porch haveing a glass of lemonaid. He wasent breathing hard or sweating, his face looked perfect snd mclin… in just 3 rounds looked like he was hit by a car.

Posted June 30, 2013 12:13 pm

At 152 lb. catchweight? I bet he was ligher here than Canales and Trout were in their bout.

Posted June 30, 2013 12:04 pm

The only fight worth watching at middle weight is GGG vs Martinez. Chavez JR is moving up to take a fight with Ward. What a PPV’S that would be, one that would actually be worth the $.

Posted June 30, 2013 11:48 am

Wonder how he would do at a 152 lb. catchweight?

Posted June 30, 2013 11:47 am

Golovkin would ko martinez, chavez, Floyd, broner and canelo in the same week, resting the weekend. Here is where Floyd fans come with issues like the weight. Dont get me wrong, GGG would ko all of them in any weight and any time. Floyd fans would say: Golovkin is untested and rivals level are low. Golovkin will stay untested because nobody wants test him. Real number ONE is Golovkin.

Posted June 30, 2013 11:27 am

Ferocious rabbit

Golovkin’s offensive is obviously devastating but his defensive is no joke. He has slight movements that doesn’t allow for his opponents to land anything significant.

Posted June 30, 2013 11:15 am

mister howdy doody golovrilla can hit!

Posted June 30, 2013 10:34 am

Gussie Finknottle

I don’t think he should be in too much of a hurry to move up in weight. Golovkin is perfect at Middleweight where as Ward, Froch and Kessler are all big Super Middleweights. I think Golovkin would be at quite a big disadvantage.

Marvin Hagler and Carlos Monzon stayed at Middleweight throughout their careers and are considered the best ever. I think Golovkin has the potential to join them.

What a great interview.

He came across like a true gent and told it like it is.

Now who the hell is going to sign up to face GGG?!

If I was in the division I can tell you this…. it wouldn’t be me!

Posted June 30, 2013 9:40 am

Macklin was scared of GGG to begin with. You could see the tenseness in his face when the ref was reciting the rules to them at the beginning of the fight. I think Macklin was really worried about getting hit by Gennady. He certainly had every reason to be.

Posted June 30, 2013 9:34 am

Has a real goofy face though…

Superstardom is right. This guy comes to fight! Problem is, no star will take him on. Let the excuses start!

Posted June 30, 2013 9:33 am

And he’s a gentleman to boot. What a classy fighter!
