Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Fight Aficionado: Me too, mano. I’ve watched every one of Sergey’s fights on NBC Sports and have been wondering why nobody’s been talking about him. I thought I was the only one who thinks he looks like a wrecking-machine champion-in-the-making. It’s good to hear the same type assessment from you and Bears. Thank God for NBC Sports, Friday Night Fights and Epix! I’d love to see those networks get a lot more top-tier fights in future.

“I DEFINETLY wanna see this guy fight whenever he fights” – Cosign Bears. I’ve not missed one of his fights since NBC Sports started showing him. Don’t know why he and Jennings aren’t bigger stars at 175 and heavy. Why, cuz they’re not on HBO? They’re better than the guys HBO has been featuring.

Get a life Woopy, and get your facts straight. Everybody ducks GGG who will face Macklin next and he is not a pushover.
Hopefully after he destroyed Macklin, oppurtunities will get materialised. BTW Kovalev and Matthysse are very good fighters but Golovkin skills are above. GGG is an active fighter, Macklin will already be his third opponent in 2013.

Woop Woop

How is he like GGG? Does he fight guys in weight divisions lower than him? Does he duck other title holders? Does he give unrealistic options to other belt holders? Is he smoke and mirrors, fighting guys that made a name for themselves by losing to a real champion? Kovalev is the real deal. Matthysse is the real deal. GGG is a fraudulent hypetrain.

Can’t remember seeing either one fight. Though I’ll be tuning in

Definetly kovalev may be the next ggg or matysse with a big following. Lovalev could be bigger. This guy is murderous. He could go beyond ggg and mathysse into a league of his own as far as prestige. Time will tell. I DEFINETLY wanna see this guy fight whenever he fights

Fan of Kovalev. he should win this and should get a title shot. Good for NBC to show this guy.

Kovalev is a beast, no way hopkins wanna defend the title against him. That fight never gonna happen, just hope for kovalev that he doesnt get sidelined because none of the top guys in light hw wants to fight him.

Both fighters are big up-and-coming contenders at 175lbs with very impressive power. Should turn out to be a old-fashioned slug fest until someone gets KO’d. The winner will go on to challenge Dawson and Popkins for the titles. My money’s on Sergey Kovalev because I think he has more power and the thicker beard. This one will be FIREWORKS!

Kovalev is impressive. A big puncher with excellent technique and skills. Title holders at 175 don’t want to see him. NBC Sports has been smart to feature him regularly. Once word spreads he’ll have a big fan base. Could be another GGG or Matthysse type emergence.

White can’t take a punch. Kovalev should win this one.
