Khan vs. Peterson tickets go on sale on Friday

Washington, DC (October 27)…Tickets for “Capital Showdown: Khan vs. Peterson” go on sale TOMORROW, Friday, Oct. 28 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Big-time boxing’s return to our nation’s capital has created a buzz amongst sports fans ready to see the Unified Super Lightweight Champion Amir “King” Khan defend his titles against the No. 1-rated IBF Contender Lamont Peterson on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Plus, Brandywine, Maryland’s undefeated top heavyweight contender and former Michigan State University standout linebacker Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell and Lamont’s brother and top lightweight contender Anthony Peterson will be featured in separate fights.

Number 8 in the World, Mansour returns to defend his title on Dec 2

DOVER, Del. — Dover Downs Hotel & Casino announces the next Friday Night Fights series event on Dec. 2 in the Rollins Center. Ranked number eight in the world, Amir “Hard Core” Mansour returns with his amazing 15-0 record defending his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Title with whomever is brave enough to step up. In August, Mansour handily defeated Dominick Guinn for the title.

The undercard is packed with powerful favorites including NABF Super Featherweight Title holder, Ronica Jeffery fresh off her August win and sporting an 8-0 record, Anthony Caputo Smith who proudly holds an 11-0 record after his TKO in August, local “Mighty” Mike Tiberi with an impressive 17-1-0 record, Dorian Spivey from Portsmouth, Va. (39-6-1), “Rockin” Ryan Belasco (15-5-3), Omar Douglas and Lamont Singletary, both won by TKO in August and newcomer affectionately known as “Dover Kid.”
