As Prizefighter prepares for international fighters to make their debut on the series, we are delighted to announce that the Light-Heavyweights II show features on the FOX Network in America this weekend.
Fuel TV – part of FOX Sports Media Group – will transmit the quarter-finals of the Light-Heavyweights II night in Liverpool from 10pm EST, with the hour-long show repeated four times on Friday (1am and 4.30am) and Saturday (10.30pm and 1.30am). The semi-finals and final will be aired on Friday 8 April.

The Prizefighter Light-Heavyweights II – the 16th edition of Matchroom Sport’s eight man, one night tournaments – was won by Travis Dickinson, who followed in his older brother Jon-Lewis’ footsteps after he took the Prizefighter Cruiserweights II title in April 2010.
Launched in July 2003 Fuel TV showcases an eclectic mix of sports including skateboarding, snowboarding and other extreme sports and is available to over 26 million households in America.
The Prizefighter International Heavyweights show on May 7 from London’s Alexandra Palace with New Jersey’s Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson becoming the first American to take part in the series. Johnson boasts 24 victories and just one defeat, a points loss to Vitali Klitschko in a WBC title challenge in December 2009. The 31 year-old is joined by unbeaten Irish-based Cuban Mike ‘The Rebel’ Perez, who holds ten knockout victories from 13 fights, all inside three rounds, and he is joined by another power-puncher who should revel in Prizefighter’s all-action format.
Big-hitting German Konstantin Airich holds 13 knockouts from 16 wins and is remembered for a crazy fight with Danny Williams in May 2008. Further names are expected to be added early next week as promoters Matchroom Sport promise an explosive night of action with a multi-national flavour.

Webb vs. Arron on 5/13
SAM WEBB will defend his British light-middleweight title against Prince Arron at Medway Park Leisure Centre, Gillingham on Friday May 13.
He will be risking his title for second time against the Mancunian Prizefighter winner – in what is the first ever British title contest to be staged in Kent.
Webb, 29, won the title when he shocked Anthony Small last year and made a successful defence knocking out Martin Concepcion in 11 rounds back in October.
Chislehurst’s Webb (17-1) was offered a European title fight, but opted to defend his domestic crown instead.
Promoter Frank Maloney said: “We are looking at the European title, but I would like Sam to win a Lonsdale belt outright and gain some more experience.
“The Arron fight will tell me a lot about Sam because he is up against a tall, awkward fighter who would give anyone problems.
“Trainer Bob Shannon has done a good job with Arron and he always boxes to instruction. He certainly knew the blueprint for Prizefighter.”
Arron boasts a 20-3-1 record and Maloney added: “His record is misleading. His losses came when he was overmatched early in his career.
“Although I am aware of the threat, I have no doubt that Sam will win if he is on top form.”
In the chief support Blackpool’s Brian Rose (16-1-1) makes the first defence of his English light-middleweight crown against Swanley’s unbeaten Martin Welsh (9-0).
A special attraction features Chatham heavyweight sensation Tom Dallas (14-0). His opponent is still to be named.

Weigh-in: Murray vs. Ouazghari
European Lightweight Champion John Murray weighed in at 9st 8lb 12oz, while his challenger Karim El Ouazghari came in at 9st 8lb 4oz at today’s official weigh-in.
Murray makes the second defence of his title against the Spanish Champion at London’s York Hall tomorrow night – his first fight in the capital in over four years, live on Sky Sports 1HD.
“I’ve weighed-in and it’s all systems go for tomorrow night against Ouazghari,” said Murray.
“I feel really strong and I can’t wait to get in the ring and show that I’m the best lightweight in Europe and soon the world,”
“It’s been nearly seven months since my last fight so I want to get some rounds in, but I don’t want it going the distance,”
“My last six championship fights have all ended by stoppage and with the way I’m punching at the moment I can’t see Ouazghari lasting,”
