Tickets now available for Vinny “The Lion” O’Brien’s pro debut at Prudential Center March 5

As of last Friday, tickets for the highly anticipated pro debut of 2010 New Jersey Golden Gloves champion Vinny “The Lion” O’Brien are now on sale.

The fight is part of a stacked undercard put together by Main Events leading up to the Junior Welterweight title bout between Zab Judah and Kaizer Mabuza. Promoted by Main Events and Super Judah Promotions, the fight will take place at the Prudential Center’s AmeriHealth Pavilion in Newark, NJ with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the first fight beginning at 8.

Since winning the Golden Gloves and being named “Outstanding Fighter of the Night”, O’Brien—fighting out of East Hanover and training out of Final Round Boxing in Whippany—has been working relentlessly with former heavyweight boxer and trainer Lou Esa to get ready to explode onto the pro scene.

Making his pro debut at New Jersey’s most prestigious arena says much about the up-and-coming star O’Brien. Through his impressive performance in the Golden Gloves he built a name for himself that has rapidly grown throughout the boxing world and caught the attention of Main Events.

“I feel like it is meant to be; the right time, the right place, everything seems like it’s supposed to happen this way,” said O’Brien about being the given the opportunity to debut at the Prudential Center. “I put in the hard work to get to this point, and now it’s time for my debut and make the world familiar with the name Vinny O’Brien.”

On top of making his professional boxing debut, O’Brien will also be taking part in making history as being part of the inaugural event at the AmeriHealth Pavilion.

“All fighters dream about fighting on a stage like the Prudential Center,” said O’Brien. “This is what I’ve wanted since I first started boxing, the chance to show the boxing world what I got and that I’m here to stay. Many thanks to Main Events for this opportunity and I promise all my fans they won’t be disappointed.”

Tickets are priced at $253 for ringside, $103 for reserved seating on floor, $88 general admission in bleachers and $53 general admission for standing room on floor.
