Boxing Trainer Rob Garcia Joins Find A Dream

Find A Dream—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream—has recently announced that they have added celebrity trainer Rob Garcia to their team.

Garcia is a world renowned celebrity trainer to many high profile athletes, best known for training boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya. Other top names he trains includes former UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn and boxer Antonio Margarito. He has worked with countless celebrities and appeared on E! Entertainment Television’s popular show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“The most rewarding aspect of training is probably being able to work with the young kids who have the stars in their eyes and want to do great things,” said Garcia. “Being able to take a young kid from the streets and change his direction so that he becomes dedicated to working towards whatever dream or goal he has, it means the world to me to be part of it.”

Find A Dream focuses on shaping and redirecting the lives of youths and young adults of every socio-economic background, and is founded on the belief that personal and social changes come about when people work as a team. Garcia is joining a stacked team at Find A Dream which consists of Hollywood celebrities—including actors Eric Martinez and Quinton Aaron, a UFC Hall-of-Famer and former boxing champions.

Garcia touched on the importance exercise plays in developing discipline and setting kids on the right track.

“It’s such a huge piece of the puzzle as obesity has become an epidemic,” said Garcia. “Important to get kids out and spread awareness so they exercise; that will translate into them making good choices and aspiring to do good things.”

“We are excited to have Rob Garcia on board,” said Rod Ricciardi, co-founder of Find A Dream. “He has trained some of the world’s top athletes, and his knowledge and experience will have a huge impact on inspiring and enriching the lives of young kids looking for direction.”

In 2011 Find A Dream is striving to continue to expand and impact the lives of children throughout various communities. Find A

Dream plans to spread their word through boxing and MMA events, car shows, cook-offs, concerts and more in hopes of reaching out to communities and bringing awareness of the necessity to work towards enriching the lives of our youths.

“I’m glad to be part of Find A Dream,” said Garcia. “Hopefully we can do good things this year.”
