Tickets for Best of Enemies: Haye vs. Harrison now on sale

Tickets for the WBA world heavyweight title clash between David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye and Audley ‘A-Force’ Harrison are now available to purchase through the M.E.N. Arena Box Office on 0844 847 8000 or via www.men-arena.com. The all-British heavyweight showdown takes place on Saturday, November 13 at Manchester’s M.E.N. Arena, and marks the first time a world heavyweight championship has been contested by two Brits on home soil since 1993..

Both boxers went head-to-head at a London press conference this week to officially announce the contest, and champion Haye insists that ‘Best of Enemies’ will be remembered as one of the seminal boxing nights of recent years.

“Boxing needs fights like this one to increase the sport’s profile and, no matter what you say about Audley Harrison, he’s a figure of both public interest and ridicule,” explained Haye. “The only thing more satisfying and exciting than watching Audley lose is the sight of him being whacked on the chin and stretched out.

“Fans know what to expect from both myself and Audley and many of them will have followed our careers for the last ten years. Audley won his Olympic gold medal in 2000 and I won my World Championship silver medal the following summer in 2001. Since then we’ve been on a collision course, with plenty of drama in between. I’ve backed up my promises as a professional and Audley’s failed miserably to back up his.

“This is the biggest fight in British boxing this year, and no other event can compete with it.”

Former European heavyweight champion Harrison, meanwhile, assures fans something special will unfold the moment he lands his left hand on Haye’s chin.

“If David Haye thinks I’ve taken this fight strictly for a payday, he is in for a rude awakening,” warned Harrison. “After winning Olympic gold, I set a new goal to become a world heavyweight champion. David Haye stands in my way of achieving that goal.

“I have many fans around the world who have followed my story and have stayed with me through my trials and tribulations. My unbreakable spirit to keep pursuing my goals, despite the wave of negativity, shows my character and mental make-up – I was born to do this.

“David Haye will be in the fight of his life, so be prepared to witness something truly extraordinary come November 13. Yes I can.”
