Twenty-Six New National Champions are Crowned in Camp Lejeune

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Twenty-six young boxers won national championships on Friday at the 2010 USA Boxing Junior National Championships at the Geottege Memorial Field House in Camp Lejeune. Final round action was contested in weight divisions ranging from 90 pounds up to the super heavyweight class with the future of amateur boxing on display. In addition to a new national title to add to their resumes, six boxers won outstanding boxer awards. Malik Jackson, George Naclerio and Joseph Bonas received the honor in the male division, and Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ayanna Vasquez, and Clarissa Shields claiming the award in the female division..
