THE LEGEND BEGINS, January 23rd, at the Deauville Beach Resort, 67th and Collins Ave, Miami Beach. The Deauville Beach Resort will be the host venue for a monthly series of Professional Boxing Matches featuring some of the best fighters, Local, National, as well as international.
Tradition gives you the opportunity to begin a new chapter in History. Just as in the 50’s and 60’s Fight Fans, the Men in Suits and Women in Cocktail Dresses. Would stroll up Collins and Washington Ave to the Tuesday Night Fights. Miami Fight League brings back boxing glamour and glitz to Miami Beach. The suits and cocktail dresses might not make it but the Fights and Cigarette girls will.
THE LEGEND BEGINS will provide plenty of action for all fight fans, so declares an excited and enthusiastic promoter Enrique Rivalta. The Main event features Juan Arroyo Puerto Rican native and Miami Boxing Legend. Juan comes to fight one of the best boxers in Miami. He has fought the best and is on a tear having won his last ten fights and has had a 21 bout winning streak. Juan always a crowd favorite since most of them are fans as well as students he has trained in Miami.
The Co-Main event features George “Honey Boy” Blades 3 time Light Heavy Weight title holder now fighting out of Fort Lauderdale by way of Indiana. George is about to avenge his loss for the WBO World title in Budapest, Hungary. The referee became Judge, Jury and Executioner by taking the belt away from George when he stopped the fight for no reason and no 8 count. George is on a mission to reclaim that belt.
Two great co-features will highlight the card. Stacey “Stay-Lo” Reile and Antoine “The Truth” Smith. Stacey calls South Beach home which is just perfect since she says “I have a universal magnetism, people are drawn to me. I love to dance, sing, and walk on my hands”. Stacey’s bravado is well justified with an undefeated record feared by most women boxers and two impressive wins in Tokyo, Japan. Antoine “The Truth” Smith fighting out of Extreme Boxing Club in Hialeah. Is becoming a force in South Florida Boxing. Not afraid of a challenge Antoine steps up to 8 rounds again showing his dedication and commitment to the sport.
A strong undercard is lead by Henry Fuentes from Cuba and Juan Nazzario New York State Golden Gloves Champ both fighting out of Top Level Training Center in South Miami and both looking to maintain perfect records. Two Cuban amateurs Alain Olivera and Ricardo Hernandez now fighting out of Miami will make their Pro Debut’s along side fellow countryman Jorge Ruiz.
