Vanda Faced With “Kaos”

Middleweight Matt “The Predator” Vanda steps into the ring on November 17th for his third Minnesota super-fight of 2007 when he takes on highly regarded middleweight Andy “Kaos” Kolle (14-1, 11 KOs) from Fergus Falls , MN . “Capital Punishment” is promoted by Minnesota-based Tony Grygelko’s Seconds Out Promotions at Myth in Maplewood , MN ..

“It’s the first year anniversary of “The return of professional Boxing in Minnesota”, and I believe this main event is exactly the fight our fans have been begging for all year,” Grygelko said.

The main event features Minnesota fan favorite Matt “The Predator” Vanda, 28, against cross state rival Andy “Kaos” Kolle. For Kolle, Fergus Falls , MN , this will be the first time he has stepped in the ring in Minnesota against top tier talent.

“It will be an opportunity for Minnesota fight fans to finally see just how Kolle measures up,” said Grygelko.

In contrast, “The Pride of the Eastside” steps into the ring for the first time under the full tutelage of world class trainer Ron Lyke.

“Under the direction of Lyke, the fans will finally see every ounce of Matt’s ability focused like a laser towards a return to a top world contender spot,” said Grygelko. “This fight alone will no doubt be well worth the price of admission!”

“The Predator”, feeling a sense of urgency after going 2-2 so far in 2007 with losses to Minnesota rival’s Tony Bonsante and Kenny Kost, discussed just how important this bout with Kolle is to his career.

“It seems like both Bonsante and Kost don’t have the guts to give me a rematch, plus both are afraid to fight Kolle,” Vanda said. “So the only way for me to get back in the mix is to beat Kolle, win decisively by knocking him out, and get a rematch with Kenny Kost.”

“I’m a fighter, and fighters fight,” Vanda continued. “I need to get some good tough wins and that starts with Andy Kolle. Kolle is a very good fighter, a big tough kid, so it’s a challenge for me. The only thing I want to do is fight the best fighters in this state and that starts with Kolle.”

This event will also feature two of Minnesota brightest up and coming fighters, middleweight “Golden” Caleb Truax (3-0 3 KOs) and super middleweight Phil “The Drill” Williams (5-0 5 KOs), who is coming off his record setting knockout in only 10 seconds over Brandon Burke June 15th.

Other exciting Minnesota talent featured in separate bouts are Blaine’s Jon “The Iron Man” Schmidt (3-1, 3 KOs), Cory Rodriguez (1-0, 1 KO) of Minneapolis, North Branch heavyweight Brad Laffin (4-1, 4 KOs) and making his pro-debut is 3 time upper Midwest golden gloves champion Wilshaun Boxley.
