Abell to take on Warner at Blue Horizon

After many fighters failed to step up to the plate, Levon Warner is willing to put it all on the line when he takes on exciting knockout artist Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell in the eight round main event on Friday September 7th at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia..

Warner, of Philadelphia has a record of 6-4-2 with one knockout’s but has a record of 4-1 since he took more then a decade off from the ring.

He is more then capable as he has victories over Craig Tomlinson (5-0), Terrence Lewis (3-0) and this past January won a majority decision over the well regarded Dave Brunelli (6-1). He also held one-time Shannon Briggs conqueror, Darroll Wilson to a draw.

Abell, 15-1 with all of his wins coming by knockout has built up a big following at The Legendary Blue Horizon despite being a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Abell has been extremely active in 2007 as this will be his seventh start (6-0, 6 KO’s) since his only blemish which came last December when he stopped in controversial fashion by Arron Lyons at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

Abell is coming off a first round stoppage over Mike Sheppard in a bout that took place on August 4th in Chicago on the widely watched David Diaz-Erik Morales Pay-Per-View event.

There also will be a ceremony to honor Philadelphia’s latest world champion, Steve “USS” Cunningham.

This big night of boxing will be shown nation-wide on Comcast Sportsnet on a tape-delayed basis as well as on demand.
